The thing what made me actually pay attention to that tweet is how they actually hyped up the upcoming announcement itself, not the update, as if there was something interesting to be revealed tomorrow, not just a confirmation of our silhouettes guesses. Yeah, most likely it's nothing, but maybe it does mean something? A new track wouldn't be completely unexpected, for example.

Surely has to be something actually worth the hype then just the typical 3 cars and a track that people will like/not like, otherwise I don't see what other reason. Might not be much at the end of the day considering they didn't even do this when Watkins Glen got added (During the week of the actual 6 Hour Race), makes me wonder what THEY think is so worth hyping up.

It is important to remember that the Gran Turismo account isn't managed by Polyphony. It very well could be some social media worker just trying to hype up an update with no knowledge of what'll actually be in it.

I did warn y'all. The official accounts are hype men and women, that's it. They exist to drive engagement and keep interest up on the series for Sony, and the people running it are paid to do that any way they can, including hyping up the regular updates.

They are NOT PD, they are a social media specialist company hired by Sony.

Three full months of the year left. I’d expect an all new track & a variation on an existing one. The Christmas update will probably come earlier than expected given holiday breaks.
