It's only less than 24 hours before the game comes out here but I'm getting mine by Friday this week. I still need to finish some school stuff for this week, which is stupid, as I'm getting impatient already.

Also, what edition are you guys going to get? I'm getting only the standard edition for myself due to budget constrains.

I got a (new) mail saying mine's on the way, as well. Even though the mail was sent at 2.25pm UTC, I don't think the game'll arrive before Tuesday. :boggled:

i banged wicken's link to the live stream on last night to show a friend.
(somehow i managed to remember the url without even considering it)
What do I find?
CREDITS.
He's only gone and finished it.
We waited about an hour, then I tried the link again.
He was moving Trevor around and punching the air (activating cheat codes) and making the weather change from sunny, to rainy, to stormy, to cloudy, to clearing, to overcast, to snow.
Once he got snow, he spawned a chopper with all kinds of upgrades, on the spot in front of him and went for a fly.
We'd had enough ruined, so we turned it off.
Im still excited about playing it, but I am going to leave the story missions for a very long time.
Which wont be hard, as I am at work, ALL THE TIME anyway......

Enjoy people, and remember, once it's released, this thread will be dead.

But for good reason....

:irked:👍

I get to pick my copy up from midnight launch in a few hours, being that I live in Australia. I am fairly keen I must admit! :p

Got a Copy of GTA V, But i wont get it till 20th or 21st :(.

Same here, should have ordered mine earlier but couldn't now it will arrive between Wednesday and Saturday. (day I start college :( )

Atleast there is TGS to keep me distracted though.

Some guys have said before that the Logitech DFGT worked in GTA IV. Was it for the PS3 or PC version? Kindly confirm. Thanks.

Well, Also just go my copy for Xbox360. The game will be great, no doubt about that. liek the gameplay etc, but graphics... I wish they'd anounced a nextgen version for launch, this game desperatly needs nextgen technology:

It looks lowres, aliasing all over the place, the framerate feels like 25fps at best, pop ups and there could be more people, objects etc to make it feel like a vibrant megacity.

If you don't move, it looks ok or even good, but as soon as you start moving it gets downhill pretty fast. No suprise though, openworld and 2005 technology doesn't go hand in hand too well. Too bad...maybe the PS3 version is superior, but even then, so close to nextgen and so far no confirmed ps4/xbone version. They should have aimed at a late November release fpr current and next gen, regarding grafics, huge mess imo.

My copy has been shipped since early this morning. I could get mine today since I live about two hours from the Amazon Warehouse. It seems Rockstar is not happy about all of the early copies of the game.

Rockstar Concerned by Early GTA 5 Sales
The game is set to be available tomorrow, September 17, though a wave of customers have revealed that copies were shipped early by Amazon. While this isn't unusual, as Amazon regularly sends copies early to make sure they arrive on release day, it goes against a specific request by developer Rockstar not to ship ahead of time, and the studio has expressed its concern.

In a statement provided to Games Industry, the developer said, "We are in the process of investigating early 'sales' to determine how and why that is occurring."

High street retail outlets only received their copies of the game on Saturday with strict instructions not to begin selling before tomorrow. With the "street date" embargo already broken by Amazon, however, it remains to be seen if any bricks-and-mortar retailers decide to follow suit.

Well, that doesn't mean that there isn't nice scenery, especially in the rural areas. The lighting effects are nice, day-/nightcircle for example, I also like the blurring effect of distant car head-/taillights, city lights at night.

Also I just "climed" Mount Chilliad in a Gallivanter SUV I stole in front of some fastfood restaurant in South Lost Santos after I took a tour of the map, driving through the sand and the shallow water at a natural beach. It was awesome to drive that SUV up the thin mountain path, make that 4WD work the dirt... The game feels great, no doubt that it rocks for 100+ hours of gameplay.

I just wish I could experience all that with brandnew hardware and get wowed by the technical aspect aswell. It is just a wasted opportunity to make a great experience perfect, that's all I'm complaining about...

Well, it's the 16th today, so I guess I'll say goodbye incase I'll never be seen anymore. Was nice knowing you guys.

Rockstar hates it, costumers loves it :D
Coolshop ain't so cool when they can't ship early like the others...

Looks like we ordered at the same shop :p. Too bad they aren't that "cool", really.

I wonder if Rockstar really cares that much. I mean, they still do get their money... So, it's probably all good and they're rolling in the dough :D

Also, Max_DC: I can understand where you're coming from. I initially wanted to wait for the PC version so I wouldn't be held back by the crappy hardware of my X360. But, alas, I'm lacking the willpower to do so :D

I'm still waiting for a email from Gamestop about my order. Maybe later on (Monday afternoon PST)

Man, I can't wait!!!

Buy it again later at a Steam sale. 💡

That's what I'll do.

Red Dead still hasn't gotten a frickin PC port so I'm going to just get this one on PS3 in the mean time.

Was hoping I might get to be one of the lucky ones and receive my copy today, but nah no luck  According to Amazon my order was shipped on the 13th, but the tracking number they gave me for Royal Mail when I entered into their website I get this message

"Sorry, There is no data available for this tracking reference, please try again later"

I can only assume this means it's left the Amazon warehouse, but is yet to arrive/leave a Royal Mail depot.

Today will be a slooow day.
