Can't wait for the February update next month.
March update will be in July. That would be the March update would it not?

You are correct in many ways. But at the same time look how many people continued on to buy GT6 after GT5? And the majority of those customers were, just like you said, causal customers. I'd be willing to bet by the time GT7 rolls around, the casual customer will have forgtten GT6's shortcomings and will buy the game. It's because, believe it or not, buyers remorse is actually a very short lived emotion. The great majority of people usually forget their buyers remorse only to make the same mistakes again and again. Heck, the corporate world knows this and it is partially why so many products these days are absolute crap. If the majority of buyers didn't buy from companies who burned them, ever again, many big name companies would no longer exist. It's sad, but if PD wanted to continue making games in the exact same fashion they made GT5 and GT6, they'd still probably do well for themselves.Just think of the average customer. They go to a retailer one day and see GT6. They see all the features, some on disc, some coming soon. They might look at some videos, might read a review but that's it. They don't visit forums, they don't constantly check developer websites constantly. They play through the game on release and notice things are missing. They come back to it a couple of times over the last few months, still no missing features. They're annoyed but they aren't the type to go online and search, come here, they just shelf/sell the game. They never see the remaining updates, they never see Kaz' final 'vision' for the game.
Now think of those people when GT7 turns up. "Ah, I liked that game but they never finished it which was stupid". It doesn't matter if PD did update it eventually, this guy doesn't know, he moved on with the negative impressions the unfinished game left him. Now he doesn't buy GT7, or knows to wait a few months so he knows it might be more finished.
I have a hunch this happened with a lot of the millions who bought GT5 in the first year and will happen again with GT6. This is the big problem with this way of releasing games, the casuals that make up the millions don't stick with it long enough.
You are spot on. I should have realized this after GT5, but at least I know now. No way am I getting GT7, at least not before I can see confirmation they are not releasing another half baked bug ridden featureless shell of a game.

Agreed. Also, this is pretty much the same thought I had for days now.I think the biggest mistake was making GT6 for PS3. if it was a PS4 game, they could easily support it for 2,3 years like GT5, but now...
omg... broken in which way? I play almost everyday online... Except for a few bugs that are still there, you can play perfectly! Its not broken! If you play online you would know the game is broken and has been since release its a joke and then apparently there on with gt7 I think gt6 should be fixed before releasing gt7 I'm just wondering how messed up gt7 will be going off gt6 anyway I know I won't be investing in gt7 I would rather play with my own turds.
Also I voted yes
No. I can do a search of US based rooms or all rooms.I suppose you have to join the USA ones... And I think there are just Euro servers not specific ones for each euro country
Cant you still play and do races?Even if online isn't broken you can't deny it's extremely limited UNLESS you're in an organised league or event. It's as simple as online could get, log on, join a room in a list. THAT IS IT. Very poor.

Anyway everyone seems to be acting as if PD are making all these decisions when couldn't it be Sony calling the shots? Maybe PD was going ahead with all the planned stuff for GT6 and Sony saw the sales which apparently aren't to great and told PD to stop working on it and focus on GT7P.
I don't think any organization would leave a few million dollars on the table, especially if the car and track modeling was already complete. $4 for a track and some cars... I'd bet a million or more users still playing the game would open their wallets. (disclaimer: In no way do I understand how the DLC is integrated into actual gameplay)
Play in US rooms, problem solved.No. I can do a search of US based rooms or all rooms.
It's not. It only requires people to connect... Otherwise it really will be emptyDid I say you couldn't? No, I said it's a an empty, shallow online system.

Nope. It offers so much. Maybe you guys just dont like the racing games much? People who do, like me, can have endless hours of fun by doing online races with other people. It works well. I play almost everyday.Have you played any other games with online components? Because what GT6 offers is factually very limited.

Special features? Which features? You're really not getting anything I'm saying are you? Yes, you can go online and take part in races. Great. That's all if offers to date. There are no special features, no matchmaking, no way to create race series, no shuffle racing, nothing. Like I said you log on to GT6 online, are presented with a list of races to join and that is it. If you don't have a car to suit the races listed, tough. You can join on of them or leave.
