I might do it, but I don't wanna lose any of my progress on the events, and wait for the bloody update that takes like more than an hour for me. Can someone clarify if it does any of this stuff?
You can't do it anymore unless you have a console with 1.01 on it and not 1.02.

I did it like 4 times, just to hit 100 cars in my garage, now i have like over 300 cars.

What I meant was GT6 has no leveling system to speak of, nothing to really keep you coming back aside from credits. The gameplay may be fun, but I find that GT6 leaves me feeling as if I haven't accomplished anything, whereas reaching the next level in COD, I felt as if I had accomplished something tangible, as idiotic as that may sound.

Without "perks" and unlockables, a leveling system in GT6 doesn't seem to have a purpose and incorporating "perks" into GT6 would take the game far from a driving simulation and turn it into an arcade racer, which I think we all can agree is not the ideal path for the GT series. Like I said in my previous post, the career mode in GT6 is simply far too lacking of content for me to see myself still playing 8 months down the road.

It doesn't have leveling system-perks because it is GT > you'd want ABS perk for l.5 ? biger turbo perk for l.20 ? beter driving skills perk for l 30 ? overtake 2 cars at once perk for l 40 ? Racing tires perk for l.45 ? NFS?

Whole game is based on making money in races . That's that .Simple.

Glitchin 20 millions defeats whole purpose of the game > racing to make money and then enjoy in spending It on cars and upgrades. That gives much biger reward /satisfaction than just glitchin a lot of money and then buy/drive whatever you want without any work/grind.

Don't have problem with those who glitched , but then many later complaint game lacks content or it is boring. For sure there's no challenge when you can have 400 (or 1200) cars in a garage for free. Game wasn't meant to be played like that :D

No, clocking up the hours doing different races and am forced into making purchases as I near the 20 million cap.

No here. It's twice as rewarding for me knowing I earned every car I own.

I got that feeling from 2 - 3 years of GT5.
Doing it all again for a game that isn't massively different wasn't an exciting prospect so I won 'the lottery'. Now I can carry on from where I left off.

I couldn't be bothered with doing the money glitch. I like to earn my credits the old fashion way by racing. I don't NEED any of the 20M cars right away but once I finally do have enough credits to buy one I'll know that I earned it.

That is the flaw that glitch corrected.

Glitchin 20 millions defeats whole purpose of the game
The purpose is solely up to the end user.
> racing to make money and then enjoy in spending It on cars and upgrades. That gives much biger reward /satisfaction than just glitchin a lot of money and then buy/drive whatever you want without any work/grind.
If there is zero enjoyment from spending credits this obviously breaks down. There is no reward or satisfaction for many except from having a bucket load of cars and driving them. So obviously if people want rewarding satisfying gameplay, some will glitch because you can't find rewarding satisfying gameplay in the credit grind.

many later complaint game lacks content or it is boring.
I doubt this has anything to do with glitching. Online is unlimited. Offline is what it is, which for some is a boring grind. Glitching would make it last longer since you skip the repetitiveness and are able to take it your own pace, but the stale design of GT's offline mode will only last so long.

Then the game was simply designed poorly. How your garage has any effect on difficulty is mind blowing.

I see exactly where you're coming from. But at the same time, I don't see myself being as much of a car collector in GT6 as I was in GT5, and your point about both games not being that different enforces my reason. The only dramatic change is the way each car handles, and unless you're going to be taking each car you owned out for a spin, I see no need to rebuy so many cars.

I glitched.

At this stage with GT5 I would still have been grinding all day, or rubber banding with the X1. Neither of which would have been anywhere near as enjoyable as what I spent a few hours doing on GT6 this afternoon - running various cars round the 'Ring for Mike's Nurburgring TT board.

finally do have enough credits to buy one I'll know that I earned it.

Funny, I feel like I earned my cars by dragging my lazy butt to work in the morning, doing a job, then getting paid and spending that truly earned money on a product. I don't buy games so I can work more. I buy them so I can enjoy them. Grinding is work for most.

People need to get over these digital cars being some kind of status symbols. They are not. The digital code used to produce a Hyundai is no different than the digital code used to produce a Ferrari. Just because you have a 20 million dollar car doesn't mean you have any status over anyone else, whether you glitched or grinded for it.

You know, if the rest of the world made progress at the same rate as a debate here, we'd still be twatting each other with animal femurs.

Why would you actually read a thread before posting in it? Ludicrous idea.. I mean if you did, you might notice that everything you are about to say has already been said at least a hundred times... and that the general consensus is that many people feel that the credit glitch ruined the game and many other people feel it didn't.

By a lucky twist of fate, the people that feel it didn't are the same people that did the credit glitch and in contrast, the people that feel it did are the same ones that didn't do the credit glitch. So you see, by the by, that no-one's game was, in point of fact, ruined. It looks very much as though everyone got what they wanted really. Balance is restored..... if it was ever upset in the first place.

But this post and the truth it contains will no doubt, much like Enoch Powell, linger briefly on the fringes of common awareness before vanishing into the fog of the human condition.

As you were. 👍

I didn't get what I wanted. I spent 60 bucks so I can work after work to buy the cars I want . Now I'm poor IRL and in-game. It would be cool to have a challenging racing experience that rewards you with credits for driving well, but instead we get a real life experience where you have to grind a boring race many times until you unlock the cars you paid real money for.
With this game you have to make your own fun, because the one set-up by the makers sucks. My fun is arcade races with different cars. I am forced, however, to participate in their boring career mode to get some cars.

Some people aren't even able to afford the right tires and struggle terribly. It's a loss for competitive gaming, GT5 was much more fun online.

I thought it didn't work after patch 1.02. The only thing PD responded to with a patch. That's funny.

Only other way is download a save of another site and have £50,000,000 cress and resign to your account with a program which lots do and works as well ;):)

No, I don't want perks. I was merely using that as an example as to why a leveling system would be pointless. Do you even read?

I didn't do the "big" 20M glitch, but I did do the Ascari 10-lapper 10 times, so I got roughly 1.3M from that.

I should have done it more had I known my login bonus resets every 3rd day for no reason...

Sorry, I find that a bit hard to believe, unless they have been spending recklessly...and if so, then they have only themselves to blame, surely.

I didn't do the glitch.

But how long did it take to obtain credits that way?
If you spent one hour glitching, how many kazulas could you earn... steal obtain... acquire.

I've been fooling about in the S races - earning way more money than I spend on cars.

I am almost glad they don't have the Used car lot... I used to waste so much kazulas buying some "Last minute deal... snap it up now before it drives away!"

edit...

About 5 minutes of mucking about to get 20 million. The interweb tells me.

My story is the same as this. I used no glitch, but I have 42 million credits because I run a lot of the S races.

Took a bit longer than 5 mins as downloading 1.02 took c.18 minutes each time (at least it did for me). Plus buying the cars takes ages too

All in all, I think I spent c.4 hours over a couple of nights - though this could probably have been shortened somewhat.

But for that, I got 400 cars, including every expensive car in the game.

Much quicker than grinding (or glitching the Nurb 24h as in GT5).
