Definitely not.
The sound is GT4-ish and the dizel is reving up to 7000rpm.
It's a rushed Le Mans demo. (in those terms)
Also, you should maybe consider PD wants to blow people away when they finally present the full game.(as soon as this E3 maybe)
Wait a day and a half more.;)
 
Pay attention to the sparks coming from under the cars in front of him from 2:55 to 3:16.

Everything looks so real!

Please remember, this is a diesel engined car so it's not surprising if it sounds a little weird. 👍
 
Could have sworn that in the PS franse blog they said this build was "fresh of the press" so yeah latest build, get use to these sounds. :(

Did you not see the part where the leMans car want into a solid wall at over 100MPH and did barely anything at all?

If there was rollover, we would have seen it 100% in that crash.

How do you base this unproven claim off a quick demo? I'm sounding like a broken record at this point, but its a place holder. It was thrown together just for the event, its not representative of the full game so chill out for goodness sake.

Not for me. I don't nitpick, and OMG if the sounds aren't 100% correct the game is ruined! :rolleyes:

it's not about this video,it's about a lot of video that we had seen in the last couple weeks(Nurb' demo)!every aspect of the game was improved ,graphic,AI,textures....but sadly the engine sound is the same off GT4,flat....and that makes me very pessimist!
 
Guys, there is a video on the comment section ( home page). Check it out. It shows the cockpit view.
 
We have seen people try to flip WRC cars in demos before, just because it wasn't enabled doesn't mean it won't be there in the final game.
 
Boy, some of you are going to be very disapointed when the game releases.

There is far too much hope in here.
 
Wow, there's gameplay footage from onboard. Isn't Sony restricting them from showing that? Maybe it was only temporary.

Or in my case, it's me who made the best time of the weekend of the 24h of Le Mans with the 908 at the Circuit de la Sarthe.
My best time is 3.13.907 which will remain the final lap of the weekend general. (You can do better)
It's me who has won the trip to Alsace Rally with Sebastien Loeb

(I also finished first on the competition TOTAL booth, and I got a PSP with Gran Turismo and NFS Undercover)

Was your time the same settings as Loeb's and Jordan Tresson's times?
 
Great Video gtone339. I really like the cockpit. Its better than the F2007 cockpit in GT5P and the track makes it look it better. I also noticed that most if not all of the instruments and gauges are working which is really cool especially in such a high-tech car.
Great job PD!!!
 
Wow the sense of speed from that cockpit view is pretty crazy!

Also, it looks to me like the cockpit view may only be available in the Time Trial option, rather than the race.

As much as I love that cockpit view, it's going to be a struggle to use it. You really can't see much.
