Brilliant but with usual GT Achille's heel, a re-used GT4 engine sound.

The Minolta, the Bentley speed 8, Audi R8, and many other cars once tuned (racing exhaust) sound very close to this too.
It may be the same base sound found in gt4 but higher quality.

A few other GT5 videos had GT4 based sounds as well.

Like I said in another thread, its more then likely just a place holder just for this demo. Not necessarily indicating whats in the final game.

It's great to see the AI, tyre smoke and grass particles taking a step forward, thanks again for posting nanaki.

Here it is, enjoy it. Quality will increased during the next hour.

FLAWED!

Sorry, I mean't FLOORED!

Thank you Nanaki.

Will GT5 have real-time pits...the camera stays in cockpit view and you have to slow down to regulation speed, stop on your markers, engage neutral for a few seconds, get jacked up a bit, wait for tyres to be changed, jack back down, watch the hand signals of your pit crew and stomp on the accelerator when he signals to go?

That would be AMAZING!

Wow, superb video's its refreshing to see the new tweaks to the game keep coming, very excited about the final product now. :)

I remember somewhere Kaz saying (or someone else) that the NASCAR pit stops would be fully animated. I wouldn't see why they wouldn't do the rest of them.

Looks pretty sweet, but...although smoke(and debris) look and behave better, I think it disappears waaay too fast...I like the bumpiness of the track, but cars sometimes look comically stiff going over it...cockpit-nice!...sound is reused I think...
p.s. Thanks for the vid man!👍

I couldn't agree more! 👍

I like the new and realistic slipstream,in gt4 it was so unreal and accentuate, look 4:00-4:00,i realy like it!!

Currently watching the video on my PS3 and I'm still just dumbfounded by it.

Would be impossibly hard while using 900 degree turning. Just imagine pulling out the way they do while having to turn the wheel more than 1 time lol.

Hope so because the immersion it that adds to an online endurance race would be freaking unreal. Concentrate for so long getting the flow of the track and then, whenever you need to, concentrate on getting a clinical pit-stop would be an insane gameplay addition to the series.

I agree the smoke disappears a little too quickly as well.

Also take a look between 5:20 and 5:25. Look at the pack of cars coming towards the screen on the left hand side. Wonder what you'll see? Of course, I'm nitpicking now!

Finally got to listen with headphones and the sound isn't that different to the Pugs in real life, maybe revving a little higher than in the race though but thats to be expected.

Cockpit view of Peugeot 908 HDI FAP in GT5. :)

If this is posted already, oh well.

Not the best screenshot quailty really.

I got it from the latest vid that Jorden posted up:

"Just" 2500 rpm higher, which for an already high-revving diesel engine is near impossible to achieve (The 908 HDIs during the Le Mans 24h were shifting gears at about 4500 rpms. In the video they go over 7000 rpm). I think they put a different engine in the Peugeot just for this demo. I don't know why they would do that.

Wow, even though it was only for a few seconds, when those 3 AI are side by side, that was AMAZING!

I have no idea how many times I'm going to watch the video today. I still have to show it to my dad and brother. Just imagine the online races.................the endurance races...........the online endurance races.............I'm so excited!!!!!!!!
