LMU recently hit it's peak concurrent Steam numbers, a month since the last update and strong gains in average players. It's rapidly going from strength to strength and the player base is buying into massively now.

I purchased it in the winter Steam sale, haven't had a proper play yet as I was waiting for my RAM upgrade which just came in this morning, going from 8gb to 32gb so should get much improved performance to properly try this out.
Same. Went all out & purchased all the 2024 packs.
I ended up being pleasantly surprised by it. I was bit miffed there's no championship-type mode (reading above that a Career mode is coming is a relief), but I ended up doing a full weekend at Sebring with the 499P. I like the amount of camera angles the game provides including even stationary ones if you don't mind watching the AI do its thing. Also think the sounds are well done, hearing them backfire through upshifts, gurgle off the gas, and fade off into the distance if you're watching a "TV cam". Graphically, it could use a little more polish (quite a bit evident when viewing the high altitude cams, Sebring feels
serviceable compared to running at COTA), but at the same time, it also runs pretty smoothly & I can see a noticeable climb in FPS at times, esp. at dusk or when away from opponents.
I still need to buy a wheel, so I was mostly hesitant at how it'd run on a controller. And, it plays great, thankfully. All the Hypercars need are a couple assists turned on since they can be really touchy with the analog, but I ended getting along fine with the Ferrari. The only things I need to find is a good controller setup & dig into the tuning window; when breaking at designated points by the game, I found the Ferrari still barely coming to a stop. So, at the moment, I assume I need to adjust the balance or see if maybe I have a controller dead zone or something to change.
I didn't have the AI cranked up, so I can't judge them at their peak. Lower levels though, they seem to navigate each other fairly well & be wary of the player. It's only in a couple slow turns do they bunch into a line a little.
Overall, I ended up well past the 2 hour return window & will likely try Le Mans or Sao Paulo next. Possibly attempt at running the '25 season in track order, but the Career Mode seems to be coming very soon, so I may wait a bit. Maybe even pick up the ELMS Season Pass after a few more days of playing. Other than that, my only other really small gripes are that RaceControl seems to have some really nice liveries, but a subscription price is needed (I could be inclined if I can pay for a month & keep the liveries I want to add to "my team", but I suspect not). And the track list is pretty bare bones if you don't spring for the DLC, but at least it's growing it quickly. Around 6 months old & already 6 out + 1 more coming to double the amount it shipped with. Their decision to already add another series in ELMS & maybe others based on feedback makes me curious what else they may add (IMSA??).
But yeah, surprised & pretty happy so far with the game and pleased to read they are improving & expanding it frequently.
