Making seven geared cars in Gran Turismo 2

Can anyone tell me how to make fully working cars with seven gears in Gran Turismo 2, please? I've tried every thing and method, but never have worked... Thanks

There the easy way, giving the car a 7-speed transmission from the Pleo RS/RM through hybriding. And then set it up with codes because you won't be able to set the 7th gear in the setings menu.
OR, you can use a Name Modifier code to rename your car into the Pleo's, then go into the setings menu and apply the full race transmission. you'll be able to set the 7 gears then. However, do not touch anything else, because the game thinks you have a Pleo at this point, so any part you replace will be replaced by the Pleo's. And once you're don setting it up, you rename your car into what it is and you can go on wih your day. However once renamed, do not touch the gear again otherwise you'll lose your 7-gears.
I don't have the value for 7 gears because I almost never use them, but here are the PAL codes for what I mentioned.
As for the Car name code, it's the same as the body modifier code. (find the list attached to the post it's my personal list so you'll see stuff that's for GT1 and such as well, but you'll need the GT2 body codes, this site will help you get started on hybrids if needed and explain a few things as well as provide codes for the various regions of the game)
Example RX-7 GT-C's code is 0B0D 1358
The car name code for it is second part of the body code as code 1, then 1st part as code 2.
