no bikes!

the term "real driving simulator" does not technically exclude bikes - so why not?

If you don't like them don't use them.

A lot of work has been done already on them with Tourist Trophy so unless they are preparing TT2 they are MOST DEFINITELY welcome if not necessary for some of us who like them...

Well, technically you don't drive a bike, you ride it.

With that said, I thought it would be cool to be able to ride bikes on some of those tracks.

I would prefer a GT without motorbikes, keeping the two worlds aside... but i have to admit that a special event with a challenge between some motorbike and car models (maybe in Nurburgring) could be awesome!

As many bikists will attest you don't drive a bike, you cling on for dear life and make your peace with God (ride it).

👎

because i don't want to get on a crappy bike to get 100% in a GT game.

Cars only, TT is for the bikes.

Oh and Tourist Trophy was a dreadfull game, my god,

Not to worry it will never happen. We will probably see golf cart and lawnmower races before we ever see bikes.

Just re-release Tourist Trophy with better graphics and the Isle of Man TT course. Job done.

TT is still the best motorbike game ever made and the graphics are still very good even to this day. With a few little tweaks I would definitely buy a repackaged TT for the PS3 while we are waiting for TT2.

I liked it so much as well.

But can we actually hope for a TT2??
Has anyone heard any solid info about it recently??

The only thing we heard by KAZ himself is that bikes are a possibility in the future for GT5 - he did not mention TT2 though

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Tourist Trophy to this day is the best bike game ever - the handling / physics were soooo good... so yes, please - lets see some bikes in GT5. Would make me a very happy man.

And to people who are saying no - why not!?!?!? Would just add to the experience!!

I think bikes in GT5 would be better than TT2. Just think of the epic bike vs car battles you could have online. And what about bikes in Kart Space! :sly:

Yes, I would definitely pay for bikes in GT5, but on the otherhand, it would probably cost way too much time to properly implement them. That time could be better used for other things, like some new tracks... or .... GT6!

I said yes for GT6, however, I wouldn't mind them being in GT5. When you watch videos of people on the 'ring, there is always bikes along with cars. I think being able to re-create that in GT5 would be pretty cool. Imagine a track day at the 'ring with cars and bikes.

Guys... just imagine a trackday in the Nordschleife... cars + bikes.

Just like the real thing.

Cmon! :) thats supa-awesome.

As a keen motorcycle fan and lover of TT, I say no. As others have mentioned I'd rather have a dedicated TT2..BUT if PD say they'll never do a TT2 then I'd say yes to DLC with Bikes in GT5.

For me the main problem is that it would wreck the in game economy. For the price of a economy turdbox you get a road bike that does 0-60 in 3 seconds and 160 and will annihilate a LOT of the road cars in GT5. Your talking spending 40-50k credit before you get a car close to that sort of bikes performance. For a bit more money than an econo turdbox you get a bike that'll do 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and 180 mph.....that's 100k plus car territory.

Control is an issue, like many other bikers here I'm often so disapointed with bike controls in games. TT had a VERY good system because I could use the pressure sensitive dpad and that made more sense to me than a thumbstick. But I wish developers of bike games would realise that what the controller should move is the rider and the rider ONLY. At low speeds the handlebars should move, but at anything above 20 mph the controller should control the rider moving about on the bike.

Only if it doesn't touch the car side of the game, like a "C-Spec" or whatever for bikes.

I would like more features, cars and tracks before we start adding other vehicles.

It won't turn like a car.

Also, the current state of GT5:

-Start game
-Buy garbage K car
-K car seasonal
-Buy LMP car

Bikes in GT are fine.

Granted about turning, but it's only the extreme cars that can corner better than a bike enough to offset the sheer acceleration a bike has.

good point, I forgot about seasonals at the start as I had GT5 before seasonals. Nothing blows away the economy of the game like a seasonal!

As I said bikes in GT would be fine IF no TT2. But I'd rather have a dedicated game devoted to bikes.

If you want to race motorbikes, buy any of the Moto GP series.

really...is there a Yamaha R1 in Moto gp...or a Kawasaki ZX10R?? I think you'll find the answer is no.

That's like someone wanting to drive an Impreza and you saying "want to race cars buy any of the F1 games".

The GTs and TT are as much about ROAD vehicles as they are about race vehicles.
