Ok for the people who like american muscle here is the 1963 Sting Ray @ nurburgring i ran a 7:10 lap with it and its not a bad lap time for the car it has tons of hp and the rear end is like its on ice trying to spin out in the turns.

I have the impression that there's no crowd noise on the Ring! Is that right? That would be a recomforting surprise!

PD suggested that the PS2 + GT4 would be a good training tool for r/l Ring racers. They probably understood that this group of users would not be pleased by cheap sound effects for kiddies :)

Someone please explain to me why they put the stupid plain jane Ram Laramie in the game instead of the Ram Sport or (preferably) the RamBee or the Ram SRT-10? After all, they put the F-150 Lightning in...

i would also like to know why they did that, if they really wanted a quad cab they could have used the new SRT-10 QUAD CAB 👍

I'm wondering if they wanted to expand the rallying aspect of the game into something like the Dakar Rally, with big Baja trucks and stuff. The regular Ram and the "mistake" 4x4 Lightning would be perfect for that purpose, especially the Ram.

Is offroading a possible venture in the future for GT? Maybe? :odd:

Nice video, thanks for your work. 👍

On the flip side, I am completely stunned by the sounds in this game. All the hype about mic recordings and multiple angled research. The sounds in the game are without a doubt the most pitiful excuse I've ever heard. I've held my tongue about it for as long as I could, hoping the problem was just in demo's or poor quality video, but apparently I can no longer lie to myself. The sound of a vehicle is a large part of what automotive enthusiasm is all about. This is rediculously unacceptable.

Sadly, I have to agree... :indiff: It sounds like an old karting game from Super Nintendo

Wow! :O  Nice run! :O I really like how you drive that Stingray around and be all aggressive in the beginning with "Booty" ramming. :O Just watching your video makes my hunger for GT4 BIGGER!

WOW I can't belive I didn't look at this thread until today! It took a while to go through the glorious pages but it was worth it.

Nice video man

About that addition to the pal version--> here is a link where you can see which car's they already added:
http://www.totalvideogames.com/pages/articles/index.php?article_id=7088

That link states 10 "additional" cars, not "substituted cars", so it looks like they will still have all the Japanese vehicles included as well. This is the best news I've heard in awhlie, and I'm hoping the US version will get the same treatment, although with cars different from the European version as well. 👍

from the link:

these include the stunning new Alfa Romeo GT, the Audi Nuvolari Quattro, the award-winning modified HPA Motorsports Golf IV R32, the Auto Union V16 Type C Streamline Race Car, the controversial Chaparral 2J Race Car and the 1993 Le Mans winning Peugeot 905.

awesome!

I see only 6 there though. I wonder what the other 4 are..

the link also says that there are 52 tracks. Does that include reverse?

lol im not sure, it looks like its on 2 wheels DUKES OF HAZZARD style 👍

Some of these pictures are kind of bogus (that's not a stab at the picture providers, that's directed towards the makers of the game), like on Seattle (that's what it looks like anyways) it has a car about 50 feet from the track!!! And then here's a "bird" that's actually flying! haha

Mmmmm Chaparral 2J hahaha :dopey:
looks like one of those wooden wedge-shaped blocks people use as door-stoppers 👍

Hahahaha....I'm guessing he just smoked all the other racers so bad he decided to take a break and watch the others for a while?
