I have a question are these features gonna be in the game. Mods can you shut this down after I get the answer?

You didn't need to create a new thread about that . You could have messaged any gt planet member and i am sure he would be delighted to answer your questions

I've asked the question in many threads no answer. Also another question how do they choose cars for manufacturers?

Nobody knows yet, I deem engine swaps highly unlikely though.
N20 injection could be possible, it was in GT4 too

I only used NOS to reach Max speeds and get a faster 1/4 mile time. That's it. Even stopped buying it when upgrading cars for races.

Really? I bet all that you did was stick the nitrous in it and go out to do the quarter-mile. I never once set a faster time with nitrous on-board - if you tune your car correctly (and quarter-miles were he only time I ever did it), you can get to the point where the nitrous has no effect.

Also, stop watching THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS.

So what did you do to the car that, say, in 3rd gear, NOS would not have increased the acceleration of it?

Nos in Gt4 acts as a simple power increaser under every circumstance it improves vehicle speed, unless you forgot to hit the button.

It also acts as a wheelspin "increaser".

God I hope NOS doesn't get implemented again... it's so stupid and only scrubs need it

uhhhhhhhhh, ok.

+1 to Dave. Whatever you reckon bakemono, just remember that I have NOS fitted when I'm smashing you down the 1/4 mile.

Believe it or not, I've joined that boat long ago. The only time I will fit NOS when circuit racing is for going for 200 A-spec pts.!

My GT4 1/4 mile leaderboard says otherwise. Look at mcsqueegy & MadMax86's times in the Escudo, nearly 0.5sec difference on the 1/4 mile between the NOS and No NOS versions of each car!! That difference is even wider with the R35 Proto which is the fastest road car. We've gotten 7.31's out of the car with NOS and the record without NOS is an 8.22.

He geared it out to 0.400 with a 2.500 final ratio!! :D

Yeah, but those are 4WD cars mafs. I'm sure you can go faster with NOS with 2WD cars (FFs, FRs, MRs) but only with proper control.

Personally I'd prefer to see KERS rather than nitrous, at least you can recharge KERS.

WTH is "KERS"?

Ooh! Ooh! We should get aftermarket hybrid kits, too!

Engine swaps would be fun, but it would be an insane amount of work to map out all the different possible "valid" swaps.

And there are zillions of them. As long as it fits, technically, you can swap anything into anything. Many times, it won't be pretty and won't work well, but anything will fit in most modern cars.

Take the Chevrolet LS V8s. They fit in a Miata. They fit in an S2000. They fit in a 240Z or a 240SX. Hell, they even fit in Civics (and thus, should fit in every single econobox on the market that isn't a penalty box)... Ford's 5.0 Cammer has a Focus application, also.

If you allow all the possible swaps, everybody will simply swap Chevrolet LS's (along with the rear-wheel drive drivetrain) into every single car they buy, at which point, we could simply drop the title "Gran Turismo" and call the game "NASCAR".

KERS is an F1 gimmick no other car or series has ever featured. No realism in that.

Unless I have horribly misjudged F1 isnt it real? Therefore anything in it is realistic by virtue of being real. Also get ready for it to filter into many forms of motorsport within the next ten years.

Once again, the RWD cars are much faster on the juice. For example, the RX7 Spirit R can do 8.1's on the 1/4, but without nitrous, you will struggle to get under a 9.5. The Viper has a best of 8.0, but without nitrous the record is 8.8. The Zonda has a best of 8.0 on the 1/4 on NOS, and an 8.57 off the bottle.

FF cars are a little bit more closer with their times, but not by that much either. You will still look at 11's with the Spoon on the juice and struggle to get 11's off the bottle. Same with the SRT-4.

I don't think many other forms of motorsport will use it. F1 didn't like it and has stopped using it already. The fact it has only been included in ten vehicles makes it very unreal to make it an upgrade to your car in GT5. I know Williams is trying to sell their system to others but that's far from close yet. And the fact it's not going to make your car faster at all makes it just useless as an upgrade.

KERS is still actually in the F1 rule book and is only not being used due to a gentleman's agreement between the teams to cut budgets for this year, its being reintroduced in coming years along with the engine size decrease.

Williams were going to run their flywheel based system this year as they weren't part of FOTA but eventually joined up.

There is also constant rumours that various car makers are looking at the system for high performance road cars while its doubtful that we will say any for a good few years its no secret that it has caught the imaginations of the tuning communities a bit, an extra self-recharging 100bhp at the push of a button is very interesting.

But we're talking about cars in general. The closest you can get to KERS as an aftermarket item in a road cars is an aftermarket hybrid kit... which doesn't actually increase car performance and is unlikely to make it into Turismo.
