There are glitches in that game as well. Every game has something that can be glitched sadly. In some instances though, the glitch can be viewed as an Easter egg or a comedy. In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, there is a glitch that if you stand in a certain building while you have a wanted level, the police will appear on top of that building and will just jump down from the roof to get you (as opposed to climbing down all of the levels like a sane person) and die.

I digressed there, but the point is that all games (even the most popular ones ever) have glitches and it is remarkable that PD has attempted to respond to these glitches as fast as they can.

:dunce:

I'm sure you're joking, but if you are not, please tell me how to find a friend who has a specific car, and will bother with sharing it to me whenever I feel like driving it? This is a game, and people surely have better things to do than administering a large friend list, where each has 6 interesting cars shared? And even if I have these friends in my list, there is no way of searching available shared cars, so I'll have to browse each friend, and then recognize the car by its thumbnail.

Surely you must agree it is easier to keep the cars in your own garage, even if we have to swallow broken glass (or run circles under the track) to do so.

When people do these glitches as a means to play the game in a way they want, it is a sign that the game mechanics are not working properly. The entire credit and XP system is flawed, and the current rewards are not rewarding.

Bring back unlimited gifting and remove the 1 car per day limit, and people will stop glitching.
People do it on this site all the time -- the exact same way they find people to do the 'Ring glitch. They post, people respond. It's not hard.

What I'm saying is that Turkey used as his excuse for glitching that he just wants to try the cars. He can try every single one, and it's built into the system to do so. And he can try every car much faster than glitching will allow.

I'm contending that he should just admit that he wants to own all the cars -- it's nothing about wanting to try all of them, and that's obviously a bogus excuse.

Fact is, people glitch because they want to, not because they are forced to, like they contend.

If PD multiplied all rewards in the game tomorrow, people would still glitch -- because they can get money 5 times faster that way, no matter what the reward is through regular play.

You're pissing into the wind with this one. I've been saying the same thing too, and none of the glitchers ever listen.

+1 👍

I really don't care if people use the glitch to make money. I've been guilty over the last 30-odd years of using cheats, etc to complete games where I've had to. But some of you must have very limited gaming experience if you think that PD have created a badly made game. Glitches and dodgy code have been around as long as video games have existed and will continue to be. At least this is a glitch you can ignore if you want to.

Finally.... A comment that makes sense... Now i'm not going to get into the whole "Purist Vs Dark Side" epic battle that has been happening arround here(personally i find it a bit funny :sly: ) But from what i have observed "The Nürb Glitch" is a bit special... Because for this to work effectively, it forces all players to work as teams... I myself have observed players of all nationalities regardless of the language barrier, cooperate and effectively help each other out towards the common goal... Tho it is clear that someone had to be "The Pusher", players are using this, implmenting an unspoken "Pole Rotation" system in each race where by each player gets his/her fair share, so no one is left out.. i.e "The Pusher" position is rotated in each race... I'm sure other players have noticed this unity by now and at some point enjoyed using Google to translate what is being said in the room...:sly:

Yes, you are silly, or more accurately, dumb. To quote Tommy_861 ....

It's funny your calling me dumb without even understanding what I meant and also quoting something that didn't even contradict my statement

In order for you to understand let me break it down for you. What I said was that it is wrong to blame the people the use this glitch as to why we're not getting any new patches. Also if you look at it this way, the people that use these exploits are actually showing a bugs to PD so that they can fix it. So PD should thank them for exposing this bug as you so correctly misquoted, it would not be realistically possible for them to have foreseen this bug.

Next time before you jump up to insult any other member here, please try to understand what they have posted.

Can you slappies quit arguing like little girls and invest sometime to figuring out a way to get in the wall solo?

Silly me, I thought the glitch was there due to shoddy game designing on PD's part.

I was responding to your claim that "the glitch was there due to shoddy game designing on PD's part"

You are trashing PD for having bugs when all games have bugs. You missed my point :dunce:

Is the piece of barrier you squeeze through the same as the one on SSR7? Maybe there's a glitch with that perticular piece on all tracks it contains.

You can't really squeeze through any barrier on the nurburgring, the closest you can get is getting a bit of your car through the wall, but the solid wall stops you going through.

This is why you need to get pushed through the wall.

It's funny, just trying to get glitchers to call it what it is. Just admit it -- you glitch to get money faster than the game will give it to you. If the in-game rewards were five times higher (and equal to what glitching would give you), you would STILL glitch in order to get money even faster. lol

That's ok, I don't care if you do. Just be honest with yourselves that you're cheating, and that you're choosing to cheat. Don't try to make up some lame excuse about wanting to try all the cars and that's why you do it, just call it what it is. I'm not judging you for doing it, but I'm laughing my butt off that you can't admit it to yourself. *grin*

If my greedy ex-wife got caught breaking into a jewelry store to get all the diamonds, it would go like this:
Ex-wife: "But officer, I just wanted to try on all the necklaces."
Cop: "But you could just walk into the jewelry store tomorrow, and try them all on -- every single one."
Ex-wife: "But....but...but...."
Cop: "Tell it to the judge, lady."

Call it for what it is, and quit making weak excuses. lol

Actually, you know what's REALLY funny? The glitchers really don't care. Not a bit. But apparently all the NON-glitchers who constantly whine and claim that they don't care, obviously DO care.

Like I said, it makes no difference to me. It's just hilarious watching them twist in the wind, looking for a valid explanation why they do it that doesn't make them look like a cheat.

It is what it is -- no more, no less.

If a player doesn't like the way it looks to other people, they can choose to stop, or not. But there's no point lying about it, or making up bogus excuses. Please, if you glitch, do it all you want. For me, it's interesting to see where the programming falls down, and what doors are left open. Glitchers DO show programmers the holes in their code, and I've certainly spent my time finding bugs and exploits in games.

But "I just want to try all the cars in the game"? That's hilarious. lol

Dont forget the bit where your ex-wife first must ask each of her 100 friends whether or not they both have a particular peice she's interested in and whether or not their willing to part with it.

Hey, there's a sign here! It says, "press button, collect 5 million credits". Whee, look at me, I'm playing a game! And I'm winning! *press button* *press button*

Hey, there's a sign here! It says, "press button, collect 5 million credits".
I would use a button like this in GT5.

The GT5 credits have no intrinsic value, the races pay out too little (actually they pay less the further you progress in game), the price cars mostly suck (example: Caterham for finishing FGT, 2002 turbo for finishing DTM) and many of the cars have arbitrary and very high prices, like the 2J at 14.5M or the Stratos Rally which has a base price of 5 million Cr.

Rubber banding, SS7 donuts and Nur glitching are symptoms, they are not the root problem. PD made a level system that goes to 40 but forgot to add content for the last 10 levels. They priced the cars at what, 500 million credits, but created a 20 million wallet cap and no interesting way of making the last few hundred millions.

So yeah, give me that 5M button and I'll use it. It beats rubber banding and donuts, and it would let me buy and tune more cars I could bring to my Nur change time @20:30 lobby. And when I win the race I make enough credits to buy what.. an EXA Canopy?

Making GT5 money is no fun, but racing is. I'm sure if PD put their clever heads to it they could find a way of combining the two.

The exploitation, and the resulting use, of the glitch, is a manifestation of impatience, a new trend among teenagers and children of the 21st century. Why can you not wait? Why can you not just enjoy it? What good is there for getting to level 40? Or having all the cars in the game? Shouldn't videogames be GAMES? They're not contracts to success in life, except for GT5 and GTAcademy, but still. People, get my point?

I actually agree with much of what you say here. I'll contend, though, that regardless of payout, even if it's 10 times what it is today, the glitchers will still glitch -- because glitching makes money faster. Not because they'd need to with 10x payouts, but because it's faster than what exists in the game.

Fact is, even with 10x payouts, a glitcher will make much more money in 18 minutes doing the 'Ring glitch than somebody playing the game would make in 18 minutes. They'd actually make money in the same proportion more than the game player, no different from today's situation. The incentive to glitch remains, regardless of payout.

If that's how they enjoy the game, they should glitch. Cool by me! But watching the 'glitch-dance' is just too comical, as they try to justify their reasons for not playing the game, and exploiting a hiccup in the programming. :)

OK, I gotta go. Racing tonight (1:32 scale slot cars, not GT5). Adios!

Jjaisli and ScariestGariest, I have nothing against you, nothing at all. It's just the interwebz, don't let goofy discussions get us all out of whack. See ya on the board. :)

Best post of the thread.

Let us have our fun.

Today i finally saw the Chaparral 2J on the UCD, and i had only 2 million.

What´s the solution?

Made 15 million on the glitch, came back and bought the car before it cycled out of the UCD. God know when would i find if i missed.

What happens to the guy that's left with no one to push him??

This glitch is much much better than the SS7. Here glitchers are disciplined enough to line up and wait for their turn to get pushed in. Usually the glitcher that came in first the previous race becomes the pusher. Its all worth it. Payout is huge not to mention XP gained. He just needs to wait for 18mins or so for the race to end. Then next race he gets pushed in first.... and so on.

I have no problem with being patient but some of the car prices are ridiculous. I'm not trying to collect every car, just all of the premiums. I want the Miura and Mark IV but I'm done with A-spec. I race online every night for about 2 hours in various cars and with the credits I'm making it would take me approximately 4 months to get those 2 cars and that's IF I don't buy anything else during that time.
