Thats the one I posted a long time ago. Its the one that been in my sig for a very long time. I expect the game in April. Any sooner and I will be happy. When it comes out, it comes out. Just that simple.
 
The release date is officially 25th February 2005 according to Eurogamer.net:

Sony's first party PSP software line-up for Europe has been confirmed today, with nine games scheduled for a spring release.

Although no formal announcement has been released from Sony's London HQ, the company today updated the release schedule on its press extranet which lists nine titles for a spring release on its forthcoming handheld: Ape Escape, Everybody's Golf, Fired Up, Football (working title), Formula One, MediEvil, Ridge Racer, WipEout Pure and World Rally Championship.

AdvertisementCurrent third party titles have yet to be confirmed, but Metal Gear Acid, Puzzle Bobble, Dark Stalker Chronicles: The Chaos Tower, FIFA 2005, Tiger Woods, Need For Speed Underground Rivals, Spider-Man 2, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Dynasty Warriors, Armoured Core Formula Front and Archer Maclean's Mercury are almost certain to figure among the early releases for the format.

The expected release date for the unit is thought to be March 25th, although Sony has yet to set that in stone. Pricing details are also unconfirmed at present, but the smart money is on the unit costing around £129.99 - the same expected SRP as the Nintendo DS, which is set to launch at the same time.

Meanwhile, on the PS2 front, Sony has confirmed EyeToy: Chat for February 11th, Ace Combat 5 for February 18th, Gran Turismo 4 for February 25th, Death By Degrees for March 11th, Eye Toy: Monkey Mania for 18th March, Moto GP 4 for 'spring', Tekken 5 for 'summer' and Eye Toy: Kinetic for 'autumn'.

I've heard rumors of the American version of GT4 will be released sometime in March. I just left bestbuy, and their pre-order forms stated that it would be released on March 16th (they change it accordingly)... So I'm assuming that America's release date has been pushed back yet again...
 
I'll believe Gamestop before Best Buy. I spoke to a manager at Gamestop. He said Feb 2 is the date that Sony gave them, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed :nervous: . Somehow I think if Sony really did give them that date it was just to shut them up though. I swear I am going to play this game til it hurts when get it.
 
I would figure that Gamestop would get a realease date before Best Buy, But we wont Officially know anything until Sony makes an announcment. My prayers are on Feb 2nd

My point was why would Bestbuy change the date? They have had to have heard something... Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather it on feb 2nd then march 16th. And if they told Gamestop that it was going to be feb 2nd for sure, then why wouldn't they put out an "Official release date"?
 
I dunno, My thing is if the game was going to be delayed, we should've been notified by now, Right now they are either "tweaking" or printing copies, one or the other, so they should be able to give us a release date I just dont know why they havent..

Very true... I don't see why it'd take that long to translate it for the American version. But then again I don't see them changing anything in it because in a way it would make the Japan version a "beta" version...

Guess we'll see when its released and we actually play it.

if it's not being released with online play my bets are on that they'll come out with an online disc sometime down the road.

i keep hearing yes/no/yes/no about the online capability. 4 different gamestops tell me it's being delayed BECAUSE they're still working on the online, but everyone on here seems to think different :grumpy: :grumpy:
 
As far as im concerned they sorted their story out on friday and i posted the correct release dates. Are you sure this articals not just an old one

"Gran Turismo 4 Dated For Europe


Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed that their highly anticipated racer Gran Turismo 4 will be released in Europe on March 11th.

Hopefully, Sony sticks to this date since we've seen repeated delays in the past few months. Also this could give us an idea on when the game may be released stateside.

We'll keep you posted as Sony confirms more information on the game and potentially a North American release.

It says is was posted January 10th, 2005. Unless this is a typo but I never saw the article until today. I used a Google search on "Gran Turismo 4" and then clicked news to find the article.

Anyways... If you'd dig a little into the uk.ps2 website, you'd see that its updated on weekdays (mon-fri). Today is a monday, which is a weekday. So if there were any updates, don't you think that would have put it up on their website?

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic, but sorry if it sounded like I was. :guilty:

Websites, especially large ones like uk.ps2 may update on weekdays, but it does not necessarily mean that they update every single page. It may be certain pages that are updated daily.

When I was asking the question I meant, when was the last time that specific page was updated, not when the website itself is updated. 👍
I already looked and there is no date on that particular page. However on the page that I found, there is date that confirms that it was written today.
 
I'm confused...

Its out in Japan, so they have a few minor adjustments to make (Japanese--->English) before they can release it in America. I would think that after two weeks of it being out in Japan (as well as other parts of Asia) that we would atleast have a solid release date by now... What are they delaying? Are they trying to add more to the game before they release it in America? If so that kinds rips off people who already have it.
