Snake hits the UK on 4 March, kicking off one of the biggest gaming months ever
Konami have confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater will finally hit UK shelves on 4 March, rounding out what will be one of the biggest months ever for both software and hardware releases.
As previously announced, the PAL version of MGS3 will feature extra content in addition to what was included in the US and Japanese versions of the game, although Konami have yet to reveal exactly what these extras will entail.
Meanwhile, the endlessly-delayed Gran Turismo 4 will finally see a UK release five days later on 9 March and, like Metal Gear, the PAL incarnation features additional content, this time in the form of 10 bonus cars.
In addition to these two massive PS2 titles, after the traditional dearth of new games at the start the year, March also sees the release of Oddworld Stranger's Wrath, Star Wars Republic Commando, FIFA Street, The Sims 2 University, Brothers in Arms, Medal of Honor: Dogs of War, Resident Evil 4, TimeSplitters Future Perfect, Devil May Cry 3, WrestleMania 21 and a pair of new EyeToy games.
Of course, March also marks the European release of both Sony's PSP and Nintendo's DS handhelds - Nintendo have just confirmed that DS will launch on 11 March, while Sony are expected to finalise a PSP on-sale date in the near future. Our advice? Start saving now.
