Special thank you to Zii and Alex for a very fun season of old school racing. Hopefully I was able to push you guys once in a while, but more important earn a bit of trust in the corners. Clean racing is so fun, even if you're getting passed .

Hopefully my teammate and I can reunite in the future, and our #1 driver can get a full 4 nights in. I feel kinda like the Kimi this month; I was supposed to add points to Flip's, not bring home the majority. It's been a pleasure to be on a team with you Flip. I enjoyed getting to know you a little better and look forward to doing it again.

Thanks to all racers that participated, and special acknowledgment to Jaxon for hosting the one night. You're all excellent racers as well as men. I thoroughly enjoyed the season.

Hey, there are worst drivers to feel like than Kimi... You could feel like Satoro Nakajima or de Cesaris.

And yeah, I was hoping for a full season of racing, but sometimes life gets in the way. Next time we team up, I'll make sure to get all 4 nights in. I feel the same way you do, the teammate part of the league was really cool to get to know you better and I hope this makes the group become closer.

This series has been tons of fun and Alex, Zii and Jaxon all have my thanks and my applause for steering the ship very well and enabling us to have a great time.

Now off to the Norsdchleife for a last hoorah with the Lotus and then off to next season and new adventures (and hopefully better brakes).

Yay!! Finally another Canadian back in F1, (born in Montreal), and with my favorite team! Would be interesting to know though, if, or how much, his father is contributing to the team. Regardless, the kid is talented.

Williams have announced that Canadian teenager Lance Stroll will partner Valtteri Bottas in their 2017 driver line-up.
Stroll, 18, has spent 2016 as one of the Grove-based team’s development drivers, combining the role with a title-winning campaign in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship. He replaces Felipe Massa, who is retiring at the end of the current campaign.

Last night was my last race in PITS for awhile. It was a fantastic season and a half racing with everyone. The Lotus 40 Ford really fit my driving style so it paid off. I tend to be aggressive ( bumped a few guys by accident but nothing more this season ) but its cause I feel comfortable with the car and racing with you guys. @Gr8_Lakes mentioned after the race how I made a move on the outside of a corner. I wouldn`t be able to do that if the guys I`m racing aren`t clean fast racers. I apologize if I got into anyone or ran someone too hard. It was an enjoyable season and I`m looking forward to racing again with you guys in the future.

In honour of us taking Lady Lotus to the Nordschleife, there will be a special treat for those that join Flip's Face Famp (that doesn't work, does it? Crap, it doesn't... Back to the drawing board), so whoever is going to join please let me know in advance, so I can get the treat out to you.
We'll convene at the same time (daylight savings be dammed).

Sooooo, after wiping out my tune before the second race, I quickly tried to tune from memory. Meds aside, I think I did ok, I stiffened everything up a bit and put proper air pressure in, (thanks for the tip Steve). No ffb tune either.
The more I drive this car, the more I like it. It just needs to be treated with kid gloves.
The bus stop and the esses after are by far my favorite combo of curves in all of racing. The Lotus was hard to take through there fast, but what a rush to hit it right. I gained a lot of time there.
I for one can't wait for the Nordsclieffe next week, track knowledge is essential How is qualy going to work there? Will anybody be lapped?

You're in luck, because that's exactly what I'm going to try to provide. With nome patience, we can at least not destroy our cars every lap around the Green Hell.

I agree with you. This year has been an absolute cluster in terms of everything that is taking place. I would love to see some normalcy return sooner rather than later.

No, I'm not talking about politics only. It's overall. From the stupidity in Europe, to Africa doing what is considered normal there, to the insanity in the Middle East, to the dumb ass people here in South America still defending dictators and communist governments while there's no toilet paper, to the cruelty and barbarity of the drug trade in Central America, to the absurdity of this election cycle in the US and the death of intelligent discussion and debate all around the world. It's been horrible. Only bright spot, as usual, is Australia and New Zealand. They just keep plugging along, doing their thing, having fun, being eaten by gigantic poisonous animals...

About 6-8 months ago, I created a multireddit (where you choose a bunch of subreddits to appear together, as if it was one source of content) that I dubbed "Cleasing". It's all good news, nice stories, pictures of cute animals, funny animations, etc. Whenever I read too much about politics (here, where I work with it, or in other countries, where I follow it), about violence and murder and torture and rape and other absurdities, I spend 30 minutes there, reading stories about people helping strangers, about kids being awesome, watching pandas fall face down in the snow, etc.

I had been following that build, but kinda forgot about it the past couple months. I came across it searching LS motor conversions for a GT86. Cool that its done. Did you get to see the build in a shop Alex?

Problem is, I do like stupid things. Lol. I like Aero.... I figure the world is going to implode socially soon anyway, within the next twenty years or so. Flip nailed it, stupid people are becoming the majority all over the world. No offence to my 'Merican friends, but you guys are f..... C'mom, 200+ million people and those two bozos are the cream of the crop? I hate politics but find them very entertaining, especially when social media has made such a parody of the election. SNL was the best yet.
I am in no way prejudiced to any particular race or religion, I hate everyone equally, is that so bad? But, Canada will collapse under the weight of refugees and immigrants who are sucking our social systems dry and they are spitting out kids so fast that true born Canadians can't keep up. We have produced a welfare society paid for by me the taxpayer. Why work when the Government will take care of you? Meanwhile, our mentally disabled Veterans are living on the streets begging. Unacceptable. Don't get me started.

Oh yeah....... Lotus at the Nordschlife. I got shivers in my timbers.

That's true in most countries these days. The math just doesn't add up. Here in Brazil, since about 2 years ago, more than 50% of the population receives, in one way or another, some form of monetary help from the government. How the hell can the rest (which should be about 35%, since there's kids, people that don't work but also don't get govt money, etc.) pay for that mass of people?
It simply can't work and one day that whole thing will collapse.
But what really gets me down is that intelligence, wisdom and temperance are under attacked. It's almost impossible to hold a decent conversation with someone that has a different opinion than you nowadays, because anything is an attack and needs to be repelled with violence. That, I think, is the worst development of the year.

But, the Nordschleife won't collapse before next Monday, so let's see what we can do to prepare for Monday and hopefully we can all enjoy the night, instead of spending it cursing and bitching.

It's interesting Mike. Your complaints about the Canadian system are the same the American conservatives warn/complain of. The real issues are the same no matter where we live. People get lazier and assume less responsibility for themselves. As a society we love to hate and gravitate swiftly to leaders that do the same. They'll complain about having to decide between the better of two evils even though there are more than two on the ballot. The options don't even get a fair shake because they're not invited to debate. I can't even blame the system really. We do it to ourselves.

I only have one more point to add. As a very involved parent of an eight year old/third-grader, I see an enormous amount of missed parenting opportunities. Some of my son's classmates lack discipline, focus, manners, and basic intelligence. Then I meet the parents... And it all makes sense. The parents are selfish, self involved, oblivious to how their actions may affect others, and worst of all, they don't follow rules! The examples set for their children are awful, and teaching one on one is not even considered. When you can't pull your face out of your cell phone long enough to see you child misbehaving, there's no hope you'll eventually correct it.

I've made tons of sacrifices to be a constant influence in my boy's life. Not helicopter parenting, but I'm always accessible; and I'm always paying attention. So much could be improved if parents just taught their kids accountability. Rant over.
