So this car is pretty nice. I voted for the Audi but this thing seems more stable.

Seems I could probably get 1:23-1:24s. Hopefully that's mid pack.

I have a pit question. Looks like this car holds a ton of fuel. If I chose to load up on fuel and only change tires at the pit stop, would my pit stop time be any shorter than if I took on fuel?

Never tried just filling it up and not adding fuel. Just wondering if the stop time would be different than if I started with half fuel and took on the other half at the pit stop.

Your pit would be much faster, I've done that a few races and it works well.

@FlipJ Do you have Steam? I got a new PC too.

Is there still any room for the Wednesday races in the McLaren? I'm ok with being an extra if the grid is full, in case someone can't make it. What's the track? And are there assists for this car?

Just read the OP for the car, track and settings. Pretty much anyone can race as long as they can qualify for the main event. If there isn't enough people racing to require a qualifying session then you're in automatically.

Second, for those here that don't know him, I'd like to introduce @TomMang_68
Tom comes from SNAIL GT6 and is a very clean and fast driver, as those of us here that have raced against him can attest too. He is also my teammate for season 5.

Since there are only a few liveries available each team will run the same #. I have you both down for the Hexis #1. This way another team can use the #2.
 
What livery should i use since im an independent and this will probably be my only race of this season?

Pick one of the available liveries. We are probably going to have duplicates with such few available but for now let's keep the duplicates to the teams.
 
Anyone else working on putting teams together for this new season? Should be a great one!

I hope you guys are faster on track than your name picking, didn't you start that process like two weeks ago! Lol.
 
I thought soft tires were going to be ok until I hit about 11-12mins. They were completely gone at 16-17mins. Could still drive on them until 22-23mins but losing 3-4 secs per lap at that point.

Decisions...

You will be fine, a couple have flirted with 23's. I only did one lap in the 24's but mostly mid 25's so will rely on consistency and no crashing, my only hope at this track, one of my least favorites!
My rears were 52% after 23 min's but I'm easy on them. Me and Lobban tried mediums with not much success.

52% on Softs at 4x tire wear? Oh my goodness. I am doing something wrong.

I believe Z and SGETI were a lot lower than that at the same point.

I also thought I was doing something wrong, not able to get anywhere near 20- 23 min from softs. Tend to believe the room settings were for cloudy. ??? That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Also don't forget the tire wear bug for your second set of tires. They tend to wear faster. This happened to me with the Mitshu. at Sakito. Will it happen here? If so the leaders will be pitting with only a few lap remaining.
 
I'll be racing with the SRM guys tonight.

YEEEEEE HAAAW, gonna fire up the Caper stock car and do sum rubbin with all the other rednecks. Gonna be a blast.
 
Oh how I want to be there. But I am not paying for online access when i don't have a handle on the FFB settings. Every place i read i see something different about FFB. I have my own ideas, just not tested enough. PCars is very time consuming.

Who is using a G29 wheel? Are the default FFB and configurations OK? What needs to be changed in general?
