They are so slow its not even funny, guess thats what you get for having a free online service such as the PSN.

I agree with you completely. Especially after reading Kaz's tweet about cheaters being vampires.

Kaz is only in a position to criticize people because he is the lead developer behind GT, not because he is right.

This is why me and my friends used to do this in privite lounges haha, so everyone wouldnt find out and PD wouldnt

I'm sorry to say, but just because of these "conspiracy theroies", I have joined the non-existent of GT5 Face-palmers. I think a mimesis is happening over this glitch...

Where did this get so popular, anyway? Was it the previous thread asking about the glitch? Just wondering, because it seemed to get popular overnight.

The japanese players were doing this like a week ago, I was in a random room with a few other british people and a japanese guy who spoke english came in and told us about it then it just spread from there

I don't know for certain, but I don't think that there's any specific grounds that exist on which people could get banned solely for exploiting it.

Even if it was something left in by part of the development team (intentionally or unintentionally), I believe it will get modified in an upcoming patch.

If it is patched, I believe that it will be a result of its rampant exploitation and the bravado displayed by some associated with advertising it. Maybe we'll start hearing less and less from these folks.

Yeah, GT5 has more flaws then it should - especially after the wait for its release.
Yeah, the existing credit/XP system in place is pretty 🤬 laughable - especially if you're not interested in taking the long journey designed to get to the destination.
Yeah, we all bought GT5 with the aspiration of playing it for our enjoyment, but haven't we all bought games that simply didn't meet our gaming needs and aspirations?

As I see it, if you need glitches and loopholes to play a game, while it's not my place to tell you that you might be best served playing something else, and I could care less whether you do or don't - as long as how you play the game doesn't get in the way of my gameplay experience - it's what I think.

Peace...

Interesting that some are concerned about getting banned. lol. Anyways it will not happen.

What would be awesome is if PD rewarded those who didn't exploit the glitch: gave stealth cars to those who didn't play SSR7 200 laps with a GTR-07. That would get some blood boiling. Those would be the rarest cars in the game.

I honestly hope they slam the banhammer on this retarded exploit as soon as possible. People at like Level 35 don't deserve those experience points earned within two days to say the least...

People can sink so low it's oh so sad... :(

Does he live in communist China? Wow, I thought people in Japan had the same rights as the rest of the free world. I didn't think know he wasn't allowed an opinion.

In all bit of seriousness, what makes you right and him wrong?

I hope they will not come up with a patch for this anytime soon. I wanna buy those ferrari and toyota cars worth 20 million credits. Grinding/glitching all the way!

Yup same here just got the jag race car up next will be a f10 unless something better pops up in the ucd

This.

If people are prepared to drive in circles for 20mins to buy cars rather than racing for them then this CLEARLY says that GT5's credits/prize money system is broken.

I know I'd prefer to do the glitch 10 times than racing the same race 200 times to get 20 million. Some people have lives... we can't race that much.

I bought the game so it's kinda my right to be able to buy all the cars in the game with a moderate amount of effort.
I don't want to become a nocturnal, overweight basement dweller just so I can get some of the expensive cars.

Other console devs have banned accounts due to similar glitches. You could/can get banned in Forza for credit exploits.

Reminds me of that kid that had autism that got banned from his Xbox Live because he found a glitch or similar. Wrongfully banned I'd say.

We use glitches because it makes the game more satisfying in the short run but also makes it easier for the devs to even realize it's there so they can fix it in later updates.

You're drawing a very long bow there. If the credit/XP system was perfect (in your eyes), there would still be people "prepared to drive in circles for 20mins" if it gained them more credit/XP per minute.

Since when did buying a game give you any rights beyond a licence to use said software? Most EULAs specifically state the software is provided as-is, without any warranty (express or implied), including fitness for purpose.

Kaz and PD owe you nothing. Those who are unhappy with that simply need to vote with their wallets "next time".

cbf to read all posts, but, basic answer = no. If so they'd ban 90% of the population and that's bad for business ^^.

This also. A properly designed progression system would negate the "need" for doing this. The xp and credit system is set as it is right now to artificially extend the life of the game, at the expense of the player's enjoyment. There are games that offer an easily obtainable code that give the player every item/car/whatever in the game and opens up all areas, while at the same time disabling online play and achievements/trophies until reset once it is input. Maybe that's what this game needs. Seems a lot of people just want to try all the cars and events but just don't have the time to invest to get to level 40 or 20M credits x 1000. Let the people earn the cars they really want to use online, but don't lock them out of them for personal enjoyment. Just my .02c.

I looked at money glitch and it seems pointless I came in 5th on the glitch race and got 10k took just less than 20 mins for the winner while I observed it doesnt seem to be much of a threat to other players Just means your likely to get all cars before you max levels.

This is true, but the only reason I would personally do it is because of the current problem with grinding. If there were races that gave out decent amounts of credits then I'd race in those.

I didn't say that, but a game that forces you to either addictively play it or miss out on a lot of the content is wrong.
That's nothing to do with the license, terms of use or wether you own the game or it's owned by sony.

I have all the 10mil+ cars and most of the cars above 1mil... I'm speaking for the people who don't who now cannot trade for them or even buy them without playing for days at a time.

Just to add, this isn't world of warcraft where they need people to be addicted for profit, we have already bought this game... I don't get why they designed the game mechanics to promote excessive play and not casual play.

I didn't censor his comment, nor would I if I had the power to. I just said he is not right, that's far different from saying he is wrong, or that I am right.

I just see his position as that of George Lucas refusing to release the Star Wars films in the original theatrical versions on blu-ray. He is dead set only in seeing his vision his way and totally forbids anyone else within the fan community from having any input. If anything, Kaz is the censor.

Fail unless he digitally adds even more Ewoks. Star Wars, too.

They should just add a new set of races which you unlock at level 30 or something (as a reward type thing like getting the X1 at B-Spec level 35) which have very high rewards so by lvl 30 you will have most likely done all events (apart from endurances obviously) you have high reward ones you can race, or just add a random event generator where you choose how hard the event (basically how good the AI cars are) and the better the AI cars the higher the payout (and make it higher than the current payouts on other races)

if they will patch it soon they wont ban you.
its not that bad, i mean its not going to affect you is it? what is other people getting a 20mil car going to do to you?

I think we can't/won't get banned. If that was true, all of the people who duped would be banned too, because thats also cheating.
And, like many people saying here, it has nothing to do with anyone else that you are glitching through walls and drive 200 laps in 20 minutes. Just do what you want to do.

Forza did ban people for glitching in Forza 3. PD certainly can too. It's all tied into the Terms of Service that you agreed to when you signed up for PSN.

The "economy" is also a lot more sensitive in Forza because people can trade as many cars as they'd like per day. So, when a glitcher figures out how to get $$ and cars, they can do a lot of damage really fast. That isn't quite the case with GT5 though. I don't know, it's their first online game, who knows how they'll react to it.

Surely now that people are aware that this map has issues, do you think other people will be trying to do this on other maps when this is patched ?

But I dont think its a bad thing tbh, i know there are alot of legit players who play and grind for all the cars and take the time, but then there are people who just wanna drive the nice f2010 and the LM cars mess around in them, this is why i have done this glitch cause i wanna experience these cars as i dont have the time to do 100's of laps, i mean im all up for a challenge, but i dont want to do 24 hours just to get a couple of 100 thousand.

Whats the point of a money glitch since we remote racing? I easily cash in 1 million credits a day WITHOUT cheating.
