They would never ban you! OMG its just a game guys do what you want, your only cheating yourself. If your level 40 with all the cars and 20 million so what. Just race and have fun.

And that's exactly what I want, the exp I don't care about but I just want to have cash to buy any car I like and have fun with it. I'm not going to grind indy for 80mil cr. (Approx. What I made of this glitch so far) and to the haters who rather grind indy all I have to say is you have no lifes. Maby if a spec didn't suck as much there wouldn't be a need for this.

I hope they will not come up with a patch for this anytime soon. I wanna buy those ferrari and toyota cars worth 20 million credits. Grinding/glitching all the way!

It's PD's problem not ours. They created a buggy game & they have to fix it asap.

Banning players for using the advantage of a bug would be the wrong way.

Maybe they will finally complete SSR7.
It never looked like a finished track to me. It turns out it's been untested too.

It's possible, but I don't think they'll ban everyone for doing it, just send out a mass-warning for those who are currently doing it and ban the most severe offenders.

I'm pretty sure PD will just fix it and move on. Banning the people who abuse the glitch is taking it a bit too far, in my opinion. Taking away their ability to glitch and obtain money quickly is good enough. They'll probably complain and end up quitting anyways.

In my opinion this glitch started from inside PD for whatever reasons.Do you really believe that somebody accidentally went inside that wall, knowing beforehand it can only be done with a GT-R and then as he found his way bellow the track(???!!!) figured out the go around lap thing on his own??Come on......

As into the GT zeitgeist as I am, I checked out one of the glitch rooms. Very quickly I found myself in the darkest, most hedonistic place I've even been inside a GT game (any game for that matter). UNREAL -- It was like an episode of True Blood, Season 2 (check it out if don't know what I'm talking about). Between the strobing street lights spinning above you as you run in the tightest circle you can under the bridge 200 times, on the dark and dreary SSR7/Weather Change; and the 10-15 other zombie cars mindlessly spinning about, all waiting for that ponzi-payout, I concluded that this is just ridiculous! Playing a game shouldn't feel this wrong, especially when "cheating". I have nothing against anyone who uses this trick to earn money, but it's certainly not for me.

Anyone else get this impression?

I believe that you are right. I don't think anyone would of accidentally went inside the wall and down below the bridge and keep doing those "laps". In saying this though I think PD will fix it anyway as it was probably only one or two people in the company that secretly made this glitch.

@jeep, that´s just about quite interesting, but your theory really doesn´t sound that far away from relity :) Finding a glitch with THOSE particular ingredients is a bit too elaborated.

3. I like to race legitimately too, and it's a bit annoying looking at the list of active races and seeing that 70% of them are labelled something like GTR GLITCH GET CA$H NOW.

Me too. It is so annoying. The filters online are good for chooisng races to go to, but recently i want to be able to set /NOT/ SSR7. But then i would also set it to not the ring coz i hate it :p

On topic: No but i wish you did, along with duping. I am proud thst ive never duped or done the glitch, and i plan to play properly til GT6 or the day i die. Whichever is first :p

Fully agree

What I want to know is who the heck is the guy that found this and how did he find it. Did he run 23 km of truck rubbing his car against the wall looking for a breach of some kind?...lol.

We were talking about this last night, getting banned that is. I've been a fan of this game since the beginning, like a lot of folks, but if I got banned for taking advantage of a game glitch that POLY put in themselves, I'd never buy or use this game again and most of the other guys felt the same way. I think it would be a PR disaster if that happened for POLY. I think they'll just patch it, maybe hand out a stern warning about future glitches, and move on, unless somehow they can find a way to eliminate all the gains made the last few days or even isolate it to SSR7 gains and delete them from individual accounts but that's highly unlikely.

There's not much right about having to grind through stupid amounts of A-spec against bad AI and a one fits all difficulty nature of the game. Funny thing is find the wikipedia article on Gran Turismo 4 and read the criticism section, it lists all the exact things people whine about GT5 for day in and day out, which means Kaz knew all the short comings and just doesn't give a crap; maybe he can stop caring about this as well so I can do what I enjoy most and that is get a car and the parts I want and spend all day in practice mode tuning for the fastest possible lap time. That's about the only fun aspect in this game for me.

God knows how much crying some people would be doing if Action Replay/Gamesharks still existed for the PS3.

Well so ive just learnt a friend of mine has been banned online, he assumes for using this glitch.

I'm curious as to how PD would even be able to ban people for doing it. How would they know that people did it?

Fairly simple to find out who, given the stats that PD can presumably pull off everyones account - speed of monetary gain/XP gain would be one big clue as to who has been using this glitch - I don't believe there is a legitamate way to bump your XP up so quickly by so much unless you are using this technical glitch.

Are PD likely to ban anyone for doing this? I would be surprised if they took such drastic action, I'd guess at the track being patched fairly quickly would be the expected response, unless using the glitch some how breaks the t&c's (having not spent the time reading through them, I don't know if it outlines the likely action to be taken should you be caught knowingly taking advantage of a bug in the software.)

They aren't going to ban anyone, at least without some serious warning first.

This is already the most criticised GT in the series and most of the 'problems' like duping and glitching stem from a lack of play testing or quality control on PD's side. What we have is what PD sold us.

To me this isn't a GT game, it's more of a cheating, duping and exploiting game. It doesn't seem to be about the driving anymore. It's more about the greed now.

GT4 was better, as it didn't have online.

I think about 75% of the available game rooms online right now are running this glitch right now; they are banning no one yet, unless your friend installed that hacked firmware then he has other problems.

they arent going to BAN anyone for this..lol..specialyy now that ps3 cant sell in europe & us anymore [ thats what i heard the last time .. i dont know maybe sony can sell now]
maybe a warning .. but not banning

Your best lap time is remembered across races for a track, so it's locked into your save file. 1.5 second best lap time? Yeah they could easily check for that and phone home with the next patch if they really wanted to.

lol get banned for glitching, are you for real? what about bannning all them blackops users, GTA under map users, and many many more games. it just wont happen. if glitches are found then take advantage. there will always be bugs in the game tht folk will exploit.. if you dont like it then dont do it. simples

Personnelly i dont know why or how hes been banned but he states he has, cant even send messages or FR's. i dont see it as a hard thing for PSN to track what we are doing as it all goes thriugh there servers so if they have the manpower [i doupt it] they can track anyone.
