The Gran Turismo one. Basically a FIA GT replica with some gran turismo crap on it. But instead you have a fake Citroen concept race car. :irked:

because 2014... we have 3 fake LMP1 cars too.... :indiff:

I like the Lamborghini Diablo GT-1. We don't have Porsche in this game, but they are a good substitute.

Yeah, the Ford was just kind of left behind, 6 is definitely a sweet spot in terms of number of cars considering the team points structure. And the Citroën's a great car, fits well within our story as well.

Specifications says to add 50kg to audi r10 and the other page with the teams link has it at default 925kg? which one is do I use? I noticed (WIP), may I ask what that stands for.

Got it, well I'm registered and signed up, like to run the Audi LMP car if it's not too late for sign ups.

Been picking up a few missing cars over the past week, still looking for an FTO Super T.

I've got a couple of them...

I was planning on holding a 20 lap race around Le Mans (2009 with Chicanes) on Saturday 19th May. No one's signed up yet so I could change the rules so that we race LMP and GTE cars. It could be held in one of the PURE lounges or my own lounge.

Why not just join us instead of trying to run your own thing?

Has anyone tried the Subaru Super Touring car? It's a DTM spec Impreza IIRC.

Ohhhhh me want Subaru. :dopey:

Nice to see you again stranger 👍
I'm running the LMP class as well, looking forward to chasing you again ;)

No doubt, has been way too long. Been running my other league and with personal stuff lately just haven't had the time to get on other GTP series. This one definetly works out with the 2 weeks in between races, and couldn't pass up dual series endurance races brought together by the best. And I saw you and WRP joined so i just had too

All the other cars have been a race car at some point, or replicate a real life race car. The Citroen is fake in the sense that it's a gran turismo concept, then turned into a race car. You also act as if 2014 is decades away. It would be what, a year and a half away until they started testing for 2014? Just doesn't look right.

I'm sure if you asked people if they would rather drive the Ford GT or Citroen they would prefer the Ford. But maybe I'm wrong.

The Ford GT isn't in WEC now let alone in 2 years, the point is it's too antiquated. The other "old cars" being the viper which is a stand-in for the new one which will be in WEC and the BMW which is a stand-in for a current M3. The R10 is a stand-in for the future R21 and the gt-one is the TSO30.

Citroen owns Peugeot, it was their decision to pull out of LMP1 due to the economic down turn. So what's wrong with saying that Citroen decided that if they were going to go back to Le Mans with Peugeot in LMP1 they'd bring along a GT team for the first time since 1932?

It's not like Citroen doesn't have a championship WRC franchise to build off... and the car is awesome and never gets used for anything. So I'm not sure I understand all the hate; you're not even planning on entering.

In my imaging of the Citroën's GT entry it's using a lot of pioneering technologies so it's going in much like the Deltawing is going into Le Man's this year.

We could say that Citroën's racing concept went in as an experimental entry but then gained full fledged GTE status once regulation changes come into effect in 2014. Which really is when the ACO is planning on putting forward the first set of major propietary rule changes for WEC. So it does for, just hardly though, in a world we need not deserve :)

Thanks for your reasoning.

And I am planning on entering, in LMP. I wasn't initially but I don't want to miss out. Eddie has said to some people it's alright to sign up even if you can only make a few races so with that in mind I'm all for it.

Awesome! Go ahead and sign up, gonna make le mans?

PS3 is on the way to recovery. Just need to get my PSN password reset & I think I'll be there. Problem I think which wasn't helping was a background download of GT Academy which was totally messing the job up. Soon as I removed it, noticeable improvement in performance.

Almost there...

Edit: Now that's timing. They must be stalking my laptop. Perverts. Password now reset, PS3 logged in. This is a good leap!

Two questions: Will there be a WRS-enduro-style driver swap during the race, and when do the qualifying windows start?

This field gets faster every time I check the thread. :scared:

My new goal is to make race A at least once this season. Next thing I know T-L and/or Twissy are going to sign up. At that point I may as well join the feeder series.

Qualifying's open now till 12 hours before the green start time of the first race in Spa (Midnight Saturday PDT/ 07.00 GMT regularly or Midnight Friday PDT/ 07.00 GMT for Le Mans). Qualifying opens up the day after each race and goes for the two weeks leading up to the next race up to the 12th hour before the race again, which is the deadline.

No breaks during the races are mandatory. No one's expecting anyone to stop.

So does that mean that the current specs for all cars are final?

Guess I better not load up on red bull and/or coffee before the Le Mans 3 hour race! That could get painful.

Great news! Hope you didn't pull all your hair out in the process of saving it. My first PS3 meltdown cost me a controller (you know, gravity broke it when I treid to prevent it from floating into the sky by slamming it into a table) :(

You callin' me a feeder? See you there!

Yes, spec's are good to go although they are still subject to change.

Qualifying will always be done on the dry standard versions of the tracks.

All of this will be updated once all the track specific links on the site are up and the qualifying page, which will have guides. Sorry about the slopiness, on my way back from Califas right now, ahem - California.

I haven't kept up or helped with the testing for this the way I wanted to, but could somebody tell me the Audi's(R10) problem in a nutshell?

The 908 and GT1 are very similar. Similar straight line speeds, similar handling. The 908 if anything has the edge on the handling, but the GT1 is still very stable. The R10 is the fastest of the 3 in a straight line and even at around 200 kg lighter than the other 2, its handling is just poor. Think NSX v GTR PURE spec Super GT. The R10 isn't exactly as edgy as the NSX compared to the GTR, it just can't go round corners as fast. And if you try too hard to make it go round the corners fast, you'll only be worsening it's rear tyre wear.

A good, solid base tune for the R10 should help everyone out.

The problem I'm having with it is it feels very stiff and lifeless. It's very understeery from the mid point of a corner through exit. I've been using a Praiano tune and that could be part of the problem. I am considering using the R10 though.

Try rear toe angle at -25, and leave the front toe angle at 0. I think it lessens the oversteer somewhat. And don't be shy of using TC, as they do in real life on these cars anyway!
