Yeah I'm still trying for my life for a tune, there has to be something. There'll be a link for tunes on the site soon as well.

Seems unanimous that a solid base tune is needed for the R10, so I'll be in my lounge for about half an hour and report back. Only drove this car online once before.:scared:

Spa is the opening track, right?
I'm assuming 524HP @ stock weight.

Got it right Dom, thanks.

Everything is looking great guys I am really looking forward to this. Signed up for the R10. Anyone run any laps for the protos? I did some preliminary runs last night and got down to a 2.11.3xx without much tuning but feel like there is still a good amount of time left out there.

The problem I'm having with it is it feels very stiff and lifeless. It's very understeery from the mid point of a corner through exit. I've been using a Praiano tune and that could be part of the problem. I am considering using the R10 though.

I agree, I don't use his tunes but I get the same feeling.

Just asking would any of the other LMPs be suitable to get on par with the 908 and GT-ONE?

Aderrrm
The 908 and GT1 are very similar. Similar straight line speeds, similar handling. The 908 if anything has the edge on the handling, but the GT1 is still very stable. The R10 is the fastest of the 3 in a straight line and even at around 200 kg lighter than the other 2, its handling is just poor. Think NSX v GTR PURE spec Super GT. The R10 isn't exactly as edgy as the NSX compared to the GTR, it just can't go round corners as fast. And if you try too hard to make it go round the corners fast, you'll only be worsening it's rear tyre wear.

A good, solid base tune for the R10 should help everyone out.

So it's like the Mustang of GT4 season 1, then?

Well, I think what Adam said pretty much nails it. It seems to handle fine, I didn't have to do a lot of tinkering, it just apparently doesn't corner fast.
I'm trying the Pug now.

I will try this when I get home, I'm actually pretty close to this. 👍

Other commitments means I have to withdraw sadly, but I will watch this thread, as it is the most professional-looking series I have ever seen on GTP, no joke.

Good luck, Furi 👍

Not that much, i'm on a little hiatus from full-time online racing 3 days a week at moment.

No idea what times to look for, quick laps netted 2:10.1 at Spa and 1:41.1 at Monza.

Thanks for help with the tune:tup:, I will check this out tonight and let you know how it goes.

Thanks for posting that Dominic 👍
I'm in for the Peugeot, but I've always wanted to tune the Audi up and see how it can really be driven. I was just never able to get a good tune going :(

Wow the R8 just eats through rear tires.

@ Tim - Went to 0 rear Toe on your tune, way too much rotation for me.

It's more of a full-race tune than it is a qualifying tune, by the way. At least for me.
It gave me fairly even tire wear.

I'd say the rears were wearing twice as fast as the fronts for me.

Not a huge deal for me, I can stretch them at the cost of outright speed.

Yeah, it really depends how the drive goes too, one big slide or burnout ruins the set of tires.

After much repetition, I finally got the M3. Going to try out that & the Viper - would highly appreciate if someone could hook me up with a tune for each if possible. My tuning skills leave a lot to be desired in a competitive series!

Thanking you :).

just go back a few posts.

Yeah, let's make a section for tunes on the site?

I can post my R10 tune. It has a lot of toe in it though, but still gets better tire wear then my GT-One. Turn in is weak, mid corner grip is ok, and very controllable corner exits.

Yeah man, for sure. We know you're one of the best when it comes to Prototypes. Oh and btw if you know of any friends from Bermuda's LMP series that are still around shoot them an invite. I'm most interested in seeing SebVettelFan show up to see how he can stack up.

The R10 is faster than the other cars (at these regs). The tire wear and consistency is the difference maker IMO. With the 908 I was hitting 2:11's and 2:10's on full tanks (at Spa). With just some basic tune I put together. The Toyota was about a half second slower. But with the newer regs with a lighter Toyota I'd say it'll be faster.

Actually... yes!

Thanks for the tune Dom, I'll try it out in a bit. My tune had a much higher brake deceleration value to help turn in, but I guess your lower rear ride height sorts that out, amongst other things, which is where I might have been going wrong. 👍

Edit: Awesome tune! Was a bit faster than before and it was definitely more stable.
