I'll be looking to get some practice in so anyone feel free to add me on PSN. Just tell me it's calm racing :).

Hey, every one feel free to add my PSN btw, Wardez, so you can all find me easily as I'll be hosting rooms (whether I'm in the division 1 or 2 room xD)

@KingBestjr

A good lap around spa is 2:11 or under sir 👍

Also, final tweaks to the spec's coming soon, stay tuned!

For GTE, 2:17 or under 👍

Well i didnt do that time myself, so i mightve read it wrong. Double checking

Yeah, anything under 2:18 really, and you're on it. Saw the time in gate19.

2:17, on an alienesque qualy lap, I might be able to see. I was able to pull mid-2:20 laps with no practice in a Citroen, for comparison.

Signed up for the BMW GTE team, time to start getting some more practice in.

R8. Had Tim's tune on he posted a few pages back. Tire's are literally dead after 8-10 laps though.

Yup. That was even after taking the positive rear toe out as I felt it rotated too much, especially off-throttle in low speed corners. The last couple corners were all over the place.

Updated the OP a bit, new news... coming soon! xD

And check out the teams page, it has names and PSN tags so we actually know who's who 👍

Wowzers.

Do you mean positive in the game, or in real life?
+ rear toe in the game will keep a car more stable, - rear toe will make it turn in sharper, and be generally more unstable altogether, even in a straight line.

IIRC, + in the game is actually negative toe, and - is actually positive.
Doc?

Weird, I can run 2:18's and 2:19's for a solid 8-10 laps with the R8. But it's not very 'fast' on a single lap. During endurance races, single lap pace is worthless if it chews tires IMO. The feel of the R8LMS is definitely much different than other GT cars. The Citroen is unique as well.

The feel of the R8 LMS is phenomenal.
Shame it's so damn heavy.:irked:

Rear toe seems to be right, but front toe is almost definitely backwards.

With the R8 I think i use 0 toe for the front and -15 for the rear. I think I used a setup from the NSX in SuperGT.

I thought PD gave all cars 0.20 toe in the rear to help them turn better for noobs?

Edit: How exactly does the GT Academy team thing work, since we don't have the Signatech Nissan?

If I remember it right, the in-game description does accurately say what effects each will cause.

I know RT said
That was even after taking the positive rear toe out as I felt it rotated too much
Which is the opposite of how the toe works in the game.

I believe in the real world, positive toe points in though, in which case removing positive toe would make a car more stable.

The +0.20 makes the car more stable than 0.00 in GT5.

In real life:

You are correct.

I'll assume you're talking about the news article I posted?

Just an article for a little fun background, there'll be more "ambient informational" articles like that in the future, that don't necessarily have anything to do with the racing in the series, just for entertainment and a bit of that old immersion quality.
