I'm leaning towards the 908 but going to hold off a bit before making the decision. I need to get a little more time in the three still.

Understood, but remember, every one has till the 26th to decide, so you can opt for a team right now then change it as much as you want up to then, it's only after the first race is complete that you'll only be restricted to one switch.

I'm on team Pug for now. Are we limited to Team Peugeot Total livery or are both in play?

Oreca Matmut's concentrating on GTE Pro in 2014, so no yellow Pug's :)

Just a quick question, my best guess is that the black colour scheme is needed? I only have the silver :scared:

For the Audi?

Any color is fine, we're allowing it in GTE since there are teams that rock different liveries on the same exact car.

I was still in a doubt for my choice, as there where already 3 people in the Oreca, i have chosen the Beamer to go along with the season.

Yeah, for some reason, every one loves the Vipers.

Can I enter only the Le Mans race? The other race times don't suit me. Also, I'm not the fastest (we're talking top 30000 in time trials normally) so I'll try and stay out of the way of faster people.

If I can enter only the Le Mans race then I'll be racing the Corvette ZO6 in the GTE Pro class. It might change after some more testing.

Yeah no problem, as I've said, anyone can enter at any time for as many races as they'd like. Le Mans is almost going to be treated like a spot race anyway.

Of course man, all welcome :)

To be completely transparent shouldn't it be stated that anyone can attempt to qualify, but there are no guarantees of making any individual race? It's based on qualifying time (100% fair). I assume there is a two lounge limit which would mean only the top 16 LMP and top 16 GT (at the absolute max assuming we can race 16 per lounge). Or are you going to run three rooms if necessary regardless how small that third room may be? I saw your point system goes through position 32 so I made the assumption of the two lounge limit.

Looking at the sign up list there are currently 16 signed up for LMP and 17 signed up for GT. I'm sure a few more to come so some people are not going to make a race. That's making a big assumption that everyone who signed up actually follows through and shows up to qualify.

Because I have to deal with these issues when I admin the WRS races I'm curious how you handle the hosting of room B. Sometimes we have to assign an official steward/admin to the room even if they qualified for A (which is not ideal for them obviously). If for some reason all PURE stewards were to qualify in room A who would be in charge of room B? Looking at the long list of stewards for PURE that might not be an issue. There are definitely intrinsic benefits to large numbers.

Oh boy, knowing how things usually go, you'll find later on that we're exactly within the parameters set out so far.

We're going to be lucky to get two full rooms. If by some crazy miracle there's actually enough for a third room, it would need more than 7 people to race, otherwise they're just going to be informed they didn't qualify.

I really don't expect there to be problems in those regards. If it comes down to it, there won't be a hassle in figuring out contingencies even the day before in need be. Thanks for saging out into the future with that outlook though, definitely important to keep in mind.

And also, if it goes to three rooms, half points (.5) will only be awarded to those in "D3."

As far as who would host such a room, in the event that there's no qualified stewards in either auxiliary race rooms then we'll either have to outsource to a friend or train up one of the drivers to man the ship so to speak, all things we've had to do in the past to success.

And yes, having a long list of stewards has really saved many races in our history, always good to add more trusted names as you go on for sure. That's why I was glad to see you guys picking up drivers like you did for the Laguna Enduro.

Thanks for saging out into the future with that outlook though, definitely important to keep in mind.

 That's definitely one of my roles in 3D3 / WRS-OE. Sage into the future and spend my time thinking up contingencies so we're prepared even if it never actually materializes. :dunce:

I know you guys have everything well thought out and I don't pretend to have the answers... in fact I plan on observing and learning from the way you guys run the show storm. 👍

I've learned a lot from Tim, through all his sage-ing. Can't decide which is better, his driving, or his organizing skills. 👍

Given you're OK with people signing up and only making 1 or 2 races, I think I'll sign up! :)

I think that's cool!

And yes, he's one of the best 👍

Also, note that you're more than welcome to opt to use whatever combination of initials, or otherwise eschewing your full name, for your sign up name you'd like.

Will do some testing on gte cars over the next week before i decide! Don't know if you are already aware but there is 2 Viper Oreca Race Cars, 1 being lvl 21 #51 and the other is a lvl 22 #91. Also i have converted the corvette to RM but there is no LSD as standard, i take it this upgrade is allowed?

Really looking forward to this never done endurance racing before and it looks very professional!👍

Hey Hancock, I remember you from Mule's series. Welcome.

Thanks for the questions, yes, either Viper's good to run 👍 and yes get the Diff. if you don't have it.

Now let's get the last of the 3D3 "spokes" (Hydro) in here and we'll have a party. You know we all have to be on the same team right? :sly:

Obviously you're NOT talking about my driving which is at most "above average"... in this group I'd be honored to be considered average which may be stretching the truth. If I make room A in 50% of the events I'll be psyched, but racing in room B will be fun given the depth here so either way I'm going to enjoy my first PURE series. I'll also enjoy NOT being an admin for a change and I can just concentrate on driving. 👍

Furi Oreca isn't in this Total only, sorry :p.

That cracks me up, it'll be a great change for you for sure. I'm used to helping run series myself, CALM's really my first baby, although I did break my self in with the Lexus RM spec series way back, then the Vette RM's for a bit, WSGTC admin'ing, JGTS co-directing, seeding things like FMSC, the Capp Cup, LoTS, Mule's RM spec series, lots of spot races... busy GT Life . But yeah, CALM's my first built from scratch.

And I know you're gonna wanna help out with tracking results and such anyway, so maybe you can still get that insatiable fix for directing through some light assisting in the future :D

It'd be great to have Hydro pop in ;) . A team with you three would be Wu-Tang xD

Yeah, sorry about that, I really need to clear that up in the new site mock ups that are coming on the weekend.

Only regular Peugeot Sport livery allowed thar Furi, thanks for joining!

Click on the flashing yellow butt-on.

Ok, i'll think. Maybe i'll go with Audi for kicks, either way I'll see how sign ups shape up - i'm in LMP anyhow.

Cool Furi, thanks.

Also to note:
The webmaster Buffalo Tim is putting together a new page that'll display all the drivers, their game and forum tags, as well as teams, sit tight :)

And, on top of that, specification's are subject to change in the LMP side of things sometime in the next few days as testing rolls on, so now's the time to really try out all three cars (if you're LMP of course, but help from the GTE guys would only help too) and report on any inconsistencies and such, posting times around Spa shall be of great service as well.

Cheers, I'm off for the day.
