Topic says it all. It was there in Prologue wasn't it? Is it maybe a licensing issue, or was it torn down in real life? Is it unlocked at Level 40? :sly:

They are missing stuff on real world course. The first that came to mind was the Daytona road course. It is missing the famous ferris wheel just past the kink between the second international horse shoe. I adressed the Daytona problems in this page if your interested:

But ya, things like the coaster make it cooler. You would think we could get time changes with the weather at tye big road courses like Suzuka, Daytona road course, etc.

You know, it's OK if some stuff is missing. But I wonder why they took it out after completely modeling it for Prologue. It's there in Prologue.

In addition to higher detail premium cars and more variations, combined with weather effects on the track, removing the coaster or other artifacts may have just been a way of bringing down the memory footprint to make the other things work.

That would make sense. Then again if you compare tracks like Madrid or Tokyo with Suzuka (or any other actual race course), it's hard to believe those rather sparesly detailed tracks would give the PS3 troubles. Look at the coaster on Nürburgring, it's just a few hundred polys.

If you check all the (real life) videos of Super GT races or F1 races at Suzuka apres 2008/2009, you'll find that the roller coaster's been removed. Only the ferris wheel remained.

Maybe it was a prediction. So is Kaz correct? Which will be with us longer? Auto racing or rollercoasters?

I don't know why it's not there. But I'm with the first reply-er. I won't lose much sleep over it. However, if the coaster is in Forza, then that must mean that Forza is clearly a better game.

Would it be possible with an X2010 to do a 360° loop like in a rollercoaster?

I think it's light and fast enough with sufficient downforce to create the required centrifugal force...

:)

I heard/read that even normal F1 (early to mid 2000s) could race upside down stuck to the ceiling given the massive amount of downforce they generated.

So it should be no problem for an X1 to do a 360º loop.

No idea why, but that is an awesome video to watch :). The little tv for the rear camera was sweet as well :)
