I had a look at those first and ruled them out based on the thickness but looking at them again, they should be easy to slide card in to increase it.

I've ordered some neoprene and glue off fleabay that I'll try first but I'll have to keep the grips in mind.👍

Apparently I've created 8 liveries so far, but you've been far more creative than I have. All 8 of mine are just matt black.:O:lol:

How long does it take to make a livery anyway? From the options, I imagine the more creative among you could lose a lot of hours in there.

I doubt I'll try creating anything more elaborate but there's a certain appeal seeing cars unfettered by liveries. I can see the lines of the car a lot better.

I've created a few liveries, but like yours they're very simple - plain colours, with a few decals on them. Don't want to waste racing time!

So you're both fans of a certain British Rockband ? ... because ... "I see a line of cars and they're all painted black." ?
There's nothing wrong with it btw, matte black is one of the sexiest colors for a car, a standard to start from for me too. Put a huge golden decal with your name on it onto the door ... there you go :bowdown:.

I've made 14 liveries so far, some based on another, and it actually takes a lot of time - about 10 hours each. Though not too sophisticated and artistical ( I don't have a clue about 'car / livery design speech' ), it's an endless row of single steps, changes, corrections etc.
The editor is great to have but it's not exactly a mighty tool, so you have to compensate with time.

Have to say though, I've always had fun in such things.
Job is quite stressful at the moment with Christmas and the end of the current semester approaching, so when I'm back home late with less time and energy for racing, I make liveries. And after having Adobe Illustrator on my computer ( at work :lol: ) for years without using it, there's a good reason now for learning a new piece of software :cheers:.

Found out how to save screenshots to USB yesterday night, so I'm ready to deliver.

My first post here on GTP dates back June 30th, surprisingly less than half a year, and it's been a great time. So I want to thank you guys ... and what else could I do but make a special livery. So, this one's for you - I'll share it soon, feel free to edit and use it ... or ignore it.

Nice work Joe! I like that a lot and will use it...just need to figure out how.

I've made a couple liveries also, just simple stuff. How do you apply them to different cars? My patience for non-racing activities in GT can be short, and it seemed simple but I couldn't make it happen.
 
I think you can only apply a livery to the car they're made for.

Once he shares it, add it to your collection, go into your garage to jump into the same car, go to the livery icon and drop library down to your collection. It will pop up in there if it's for the same car.

To save to USB you need another app on your PS4, somewhere besides the GTS app, but I don't know the English term. You can easily google that though ( like I did ).

You can't apply them to different cars like applying this one to a Corvette. Every livery applies to one certain car model which was quite disappointing for me as well. The editor simply isn't intelligent enough to adapt one design to different cars.
If you have saved a livery and want to apply it to one more car, you enter the editor and choose "Open existing". You then get linked into your garage where you select the car. The editor will show you every possible existing livery then and you pick the desired.

There's quite a couple of things I still have to find out, e.g. if you really can edit a download livery ( like I presume and hope ) :).

I will edit the one above as soon as possible, remove driver name, number and that D:IRT decals to make it 'neutral' and share it under "GTP Exiles GRMN" for the search function.

Thanks everyone. So I'm not an idiot (this time). I just wanted some of my commonly used cars to have similar livery, a 'team' of sorts. Creating each one individually is a bit silly/tedious, but typical GT/PD!

I was just on the verge of finally getting my DR to drop to C, and I had 2 top 3 finishes which pushed me back up the B ranking!

I had another of those classics at the Brands 10 lapper yesterday, where I started 10th and finished 3rd by passing others that were off in the gravel - only actually overtook one car on track :lol:

I'm fully occupied with preparing Christmas festivities which are nice mostly but :crazy: ... man I'm looking forward to "the day after" !

On a side note : Had a look at GT League. Felt out-dated to me so my call to PD will be not touching any of the races :rolleyes: ...

It gives me an excuse to use some of the new cars but essentially, it's underwhelming. I wasn't really the target audience though.

I guess my wife is the only person loving PD now ....i took the girls to see the snow for the 1st time ....it was amazing for them... boring for me ......until i get drunk cant get the holiday spirit without some spirits help

To me it's not what it used to be and it's always a bit sad leaving the boys to their mom afternoons and spending Christmas Eve and 12 25 alone.
Tomorrow it's my mom's birthday and we'll meet again :), but today is racing day 👍 ...

I miss the days when the kids were younger but at least they're more chilled nowadays. Makes for a nice and relaxing time. The annual Xmas argument hasn't happened yet at least.:lol:

Pretty good solace to be had from some hard racing though. Good luck with it.👍

Had some luck ! After a relaxed day at home working on my online race achievements, I'm up to 50 poles, 40 FLs ... alone Michael Schumachers amount of wins will take a couple of days more.
Running the old GT-R Godzilla on Yamagiwa isn't exactly thrilling, anyway I was quite proud of that : v

Also met our legendary @Famine for one race but we didn't get to actually race each other with the whole field between us ... on another day maybe 👍.

Wow, good going!

I think that after all my nearly 300 races, I've got 8 poles, 6 fastest laps, and only 13 wins :boggled:
