CSA will let you save the car from spinning out with DS4 ....the moderation not quite as fine as pedals and wheel for steering or throttle and brake - if you the man and never drive like a **** you probably wont need it

Are you in the right thread?:p

Maybe the race was so bloody they ( PD) had to censuret it ??

It's an informative video that shows everything you're not supposed to do.

Looked at the replays from yesterday this morning. Indeed, the Suzuka race was a mess. Not going to name names, but...
Everyone needs to CALM DOWN!

My Suzuka race was ruined because of the distraction of listening to the others in my chat group. It’s times like that when I question whether it’s a good idea to even be in a chat party.

I hope the chaos at Suzuka was a one-off deal. Sunday will be Gr.1 cars on Comfort Hards at BB Speedway for 150 laps. That should fix things!

I bpressed reply in response to one of your posts earlier in thread don't blame me ha ha I've had this before getting stick from mods for the same thing - sometimes the interface just doesnt work

Talking while driving not a good idea then!

I'll start practicing straight away then.....

Ah right. When I said it wasn't pretty me using a Gr1 with worn tires? Guess who very rarely picks a Gr1 to drive... They need precision and I'm woefully short of that in any virtual car.

I don't use CSA though. I don't like how it cuts some power when it kicks in but I really don't mind being slower than most because of it. Perhaps I'm a bit dumb?

Besides which, in two weeks, I'm getting a shiny new G29 to play with. Instead of having a heavy right index finger, I can get a heavy right foot instead.:D

I'm calm mate. I just have to avoid getting into races like that as I can't deal with them very well any more. I honestly tried to keep out of everyone's way but there was very little flow from everyone and that caught me out a lot. I'm going to review the race if RJ managed to get it shared and check how I did. I know I traded a bit of paint but I'm sure I didn't cause any accidents. If I did, they were entirely unintentional as I wasn't driving aggressively at all.

Suzuka aside, I had a great time and would love to get another chance?

@ROCKET JOE Can you tell me how I can see the replay please? I'm worried (the "not going to name name's" comment) I was the cause of some incidents now.

Get the racing excuses out of the way first...There was a plague of locusts in the kitchen, a tsunami in the toilet...Okay I just really sucked yesterday. Bloody awful I was, couldn't get it together at all.

Really need to warm up properly & I guess do a lot more online races, been neglecting that of late.

Had some internet issues at the beginning but sorted them but a new one on the last race at Monza made me screw up badly. Wireless headphones cut out at the start of the race then all of a sudden this really mad loud noise started, BRRRRRRRRRRRAAAGGGHHHHHHH. Nearly blasted my ears off & while throwing them off my lugs crashed into a bunch of peeps at high speed at the first chicane. Worst place possible for that to happen.

My apologies to those I bumped into & to those I ruined their race. Wasn't intentional.

I guess i m one if those names ... i try to keep it clean the 3 laps but i dont remember what happens next i was lock on someone behind that i even followed him into pit and i remember pushing someone off my way .... that my only unfair move .... i hope so

aiaiai MW admission of guilt! yellow card = 100 kg of ballast at the next race :D

10 commandments:
- go slow (so to speak) .
- do not dab hard.
- do not persuade anyone to fly off the track.
- do not take off in corners, only in straight line.
- do not sneak in the curve between the car that precedes you and the grass
- do not cross the trajectories if you are not sure to make it.
- not to brake with the bumper of the machine in front.
- do not cut the chicanes splitting who makes them.
- do not be shy in raising the foot from the accelerator.

sometimes I can respect someone ... :D

I think Nonno is responsible for that mess.
DONT LET THE BAD BOYS PLAY WITHOUT A REFEREE.
Why didn't he show up with his Firenze Carabinieri SWAT livery ? How thoughtless can a man be ?

Seriously :
I can't get this replay uploaded ( no connection to the server ). I will stop now and have another try tomorrow.
Any ideas why this is ?

I only saved the replay of Interlagos and that looked fairly civilised. Suzuka I was out on my own in P1 for most of the race wondering why nobody was catching me. I guess I know why now. I pitted early, had an uneventful out lap and then got P1 again when everybody else pitted I think. It was all going swimmingly until I had to pit again on the penultimate lap because I'd cocked up my fuel strategy (again). And I still finished P4. What the heck was going on back there?

I agree! We've got to slow the bugger down somehow.

It's probably better if you don't know so I'll put it this way, DR and SR/E would have looked like a professional race by comparison. I came out of it with a nose bleed and skinned knees.

Guys this is not just about winning, it is about having fun. It is no fun when someone slams it up the inside taking the grass to get by and pushes you off. Be patient, wait for an opening. If you are going into a corner with several cars in front, brake a bit earlier rather than wiping people out. You will not lose time. I lost the plot on Sunday because I was slammed by the same people that always do it. You are not more of a man if you win or come last. This is meant to be enjoyment for us all. We need to respect each other, we all have different skill levels. Race yes, and there will always be some door handle banging, but don't take silly moves where it could ruin someone else's race. It will be more enjoyable for all if we race hard but be respectful.

That is never going to happen in a race, unless you have racing stewards to determined who is at fault and not a computer that tells you.

I m sorry but i cant take that from you .... i know i was guilty of many poors choises i made in the sunday before but in the last one you got that flame .... in interlagos for a whole lap all you did is try to block and push me outside the track even in the straight
... in suzuka again blocking everyone and anyway possible, of course peoples will hit you in frustration if you block all the time ( you said you have to wait to get a chance .... with your driving there no way to pass you cleany at some point you have to push your way through ) and in nurbu you start in lead RJ second and i m third after you Miss the first corner you block RJ and me and the rest is clear if you re managing your fuel you dont block everyone behind for 3 laps, i manage a 10sec gap thunks to you
Anyway the replays can show if i m wrong or not
And last i want to present my deepest apology to @nordschleife51. I know he invited us all to join the group and having fun. I really try to be there for the fun but it seem my place isnt there ...

Of course it could, we just all need to be sensible and understand that we all do it to have fun!
Sensible and understanding that will never happen in online racing, If i was Sensible online racing I will be doing online racing but at the moment it is not and I will repeat this, it is not fun.

I am not getting into a row online Mwerte. My car is as wide as yours, if I try to keep my position it is up to you to find a way past, cleanly!
Trust me i m not looking for a row online or outline its my job indeed to find a way to pass but after 4 or 5 attempts there re no more clean pass i didnt try and i ll touch you if you testbrake in middle of the corner or make a mistake and leaving the track and getting back using the follower driver as a second chicane and believe me
What you re doing is typical racing style in a quick race

I'm totally and utterly gobsmacked you've just said that. How about showing a little respect and trust to the people who didn't interfere with your race? There was a hell of a lot of collateral damage in those races...

I'll gladly try racing you again (if you want me to) but please practise what you've just preached when we do. If I see the same antics again, I'll just roll over and let you have the pass. It obviously means way more to you than it does to me and I'm fine with that. There'll be very little chance of me sticking around for the next race though.

I'm not into washing dirty laundry in public so I'll bow out now.

Maybe you should have raced with the QM Exiles and many of the Geezers then. It will turn what you've just said on its head, and besides which, you've no idea what we're actually talking about. It was a private lobby race that just got out of hand and not a broad brush example of online racing in general.

Yes I do know it was a private lobby race, so there is nothing wrong to mention about online racing as well.
