He guys. I really never liked grinding for money by leaving the controller with a tape. But as some of you may have read I lost 48 straight hours of driving because of a backup mistake putting me down 3 months and millions of credits and 100.000XP. Anyone got a tip what is good grind (not driving myself) or has a topic with some tips ?

Got a link to share ?

Hi there. Think this might be the one but not sure. Do remember it was Sven Jurgens post that explained how to export the videos. I exported to a USB stick but on the Pro I have to use the rear USB port as it will not recognize it if inserted in the front ones. Hope this helps mate.

Isn't it a crazy Lamborghini Miura price tag  ?

Thank you very much @FPV MIC for your detailed description of how to use a rubberband 👍.
After dropping my no-grind-anymore-philosophy last week, this might be extremely useful when driving the car myself gets too boring .
I was wondering about your tilting the DS4 - didn't think of motion steering at all .

Yesterday I had a couple of races on Tsukuba with the Lancer ( believe it or not @kilesa4568  ).
Took some breaks between them to not meet the same field over and over again and there was one race that made my day somehow - extremely fair and friendly. The P2 driver was on my bumper for the whole seven laps pushing like mad without the least bit of contact ( kudos to the guy ) and that kind of battling seemed to happen throughout the entire grid 👍.
When the race was over, the chat went like " thanks for racing me that fair ... great race mate ... no way to overtake safely ... unbelievable ... ".
Good to know there's some more good guys out there :) !

I started doing Blue Moon again as I really want that Miura too. Too good a car to not have it. 3 or 4 races after each session and she'll be mine in no time.👍

Tsukuba is a good track...before you've done several hundred laps in a 9 hour endurance race there. It's turned into a Dali-esque nightmare after that.:yuck:

Has the driving etiquette improved overall or was that a one off race? Up to speed with the wheel now and looking for races with my main SRS account. Going to give the Gr3's a run later at Maggiore and hoping for some predictable racing.

Yeah, those 9h races. If I remember correctly, I did it with a completely overpowered Nissan R390 RC once, in the RedBull fan car twice ... a nightmare anyway .

That race yesterday was a one off sure. Just thought I celebrate it and share it with the Exiles.
I think most of the drivers want to race fair. Some are too unexperienced though even in higher classes, some are unprepared for the race ( something I can't understand ) and some of course are plain dirty.
I posted about a race with @Litchi in the Daily Race thread, where two and a half drivers basically were enough to spoil the whole race ... for everyone else involved.
Wish you luck, mate, on Maggiore 👍 !

I've seen some nice clean racing over the last couple of days, including at the C race at Brands today - and that's despite the fact that I kept starting in 19th or 20th place! Races were full of A+ drivers today, saw a couple of them pitting in just as I was leaving the pits, but didn't get lapped thankfully!

Morning guys. I will open a room at 8.00 US ET today for Geezers, QM'S and friends. Hopefully we can get a start 09.00, (14.00 UK)
Race mediums, no boost. We will start with the GR1 at Le Mans. The 2 last finishers (DNF won't count) to choose track and car after that. Tyres and other stuff open for discussion once room open.

You want to know what I've been doing lately ?

:D

( will add a bit later ... )

Daily mileage, some credits and good practise in LMPs around LeMans, which is beautifully modeled, in one big package :) - found some fun in that and I'm trying to improve consistency and laptimes.
Still 10 sec short of Kamui Kobayashi's Q lap, however, his TS050's been a fair bit quicker than my 919 .

Two days ago I spent 3 hours on La Sarthe. Did the 60 minute enduro in each of the three Gr C cars. That's a good time. The Geezer gang and I ran the TS030 yesterday. The TS050 is a step up from the 030. The 919 is great but used every bit of its 7 speed gearing so the draft doesn't work as well. The big surprise is the FWD Nissan through the Porsche curves. Almost foot to the floor through it all. I think I went fastest in it.

I have yet to try my Audi with the scuffed paint... :sly:

Thinking of the respect I have for these machines I'm quite pleased with how it went so far. Still, you won't find me in a sport race with them any time soon - to me Gr.1 sounds similar to Monza T1 or in other words c'Arnage :scared:. Hammering through the Porsche curves is sensational, gonna switch to the TS050 tonight see what I can do with it.

Not sure what's worse : Having you at the rear of my car or reading you've already got the one and only car I'm still waiting for :irked: ...

The Nissan is superfast in those curves but also in the straights it is good. It lacks a bit acceleration but I think that with a little training can be done very fast times.

:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

A great achievement, b_t ... respect, and good success for the next 1k :).

Did you find an answer regarding these very quick 0-stoppers ?

Hopefully I'll get a bit faster with a bit more practice

Haven't done so well tonight - too slow at Dragon Trail, finished every race 19th or 20th! Still, I started off stuck in races with a load of A+ racers again. Saw your, very impressive, qualifying time.....

No, no response re that - what was interesting though were the comments from the two A+ drivers (one of whom was also a 0 stopper) who kept finishing way behind the fast guy!

Funny one today as well - guy kept running away with the Dragon Trail race, way ahead of everybody, finished every race clean, but his DR stayed at B. This was despite the fact that he was beating A & A+ drivers.

Did the Kyoto Race A today, and in one race had a guy screaming up behind me on the last lap, trying to take my 3rd place away - as we crossed the line it turned out he had a 50 second penalty! Takes some doing on a 48 second lap....

Also tried the Nurb GP race C, moved up from 11th to 6th without overtaking anyone again - was pleased with that given I was 12 seconds a lap slower than the fastest lap pace!

We have a choice of two GR4 cars today, the McLaren 650s and the Porsche Caymen Clubsport. Car choice open for each race.

We start at Lake Maggiore West. Race mediums, no boost, and no pit stops. Choice of next track is with the last finisher. Last race of the day will be either the F1500 at Blue Moon for 29 laps or GR1 at Le Mans for 8 laps, which we can decide with a vote.

As usual everything up for discussion when room opens

Thoroughly hammered Le Sarthe over the weekend with 4 hours in Gr3 Saturday and the same for the Gr1's on Sunday. I'd have done more but by the end of each session, I could barely lift my arms up to the wheel and my legs were creaking.

I'm sticking with race C from now on as I'm not aggressive enough for A and B. C is nice and relaxing and it seems I'm pretty decent at keeping tires in good condition along with fuel saving. I guess I'm using the tortoise and hare scenario for my results.

Alright peeps.

Got one of these last week.

Always liked that green camo DS4 job. So went mad & got this things to plug on the back of it.

DS4_Paddle.jpg

Adds paddles. Haven't used manual gears since the DS2. Still not used to downshifting with my left hand & brake & steer...Find myself pulling the left paddle to brake & tapping on L2 to downshift & wondering why the corner just zoomed by me sideways.

Hope your doing well. 👍

Snazzy set up.👍 Do the extra paddles replace existing buttons or are they extra?

Have you tried X and square for gears? For the life of me, I couldn't get comfy with R1 & L1 but luckily, my right thumb sits idle over the buttons.

Good question there Kile. Erm, Co-exist with existing buttons of your choice I think . I'll give you the link, see what you think. Still new to it myself. Only use it for the paddles. Has other functions that don't interest me.

My big stupid fingers just can't deal with X & Square at the gearing. I gave it a good go but suck badly.

That's a cool looking set 👍 ...
Reading the description ( ... Hundreds of mod combinations are possible. Optimized Rapid Fire, Fully Adjustable Rapid Fire, Adjustable Burst Fire, Pulse Fire, Adjustable Anti-recoil and Rumble Control all built in and ready when you need them ! ... ) I started wondering whether PD modeled a tank coming with the next update . Did I miss that ? Could be very useful at times :D !
