At the moment being near 2mil, im about to buy my second LeMans car however these two cars came to mind since they seem quite fast and good too handle from what I've heard.

But which one should i get?

908. Stock the 908 is miles ahead of the R18. I can't remember what the exact time was but I tested both of these cars on le man and the 908 was 6 seconds faster then the R18.

908 works great for me. I can win the LeMans event with it without really trying, while I've yet to win it with the R18. I've won it so many times with the 908 that I could easily buy another R18 with the winnings - but I won't waste that money! :)

i got the Audi r18 and it is so ridiculously slow and harder to drive compared to other LMPs for me. So out of these 2... the 908 by a lot.

Although i really want to try to Deltawing or the Bentley speed 8....don't know which i want to try.

The 908, although faster in a straight line, gets eaten alive by the R18 through corners. Also, the power in the R18 is usable, so it's a lot less vicious than 908. Always a Peugeot fan, but this Audi is far too good to pass up on. I'm posting the setup today in hsv's Racing Setup Thread.

R18 is much slower because it have been built following different, more restricted regulations introduced in 2011 limiting maximum engine capacity to 3,700 cc.

R18 - 3,700 V6 550 HP

908 - 5,500 V12 700 HP

It would need to fly in the corners in order to win the Le Mans race - I'll gladly try the
hsv010 setup.

R18 all the way for me. Always been Audi fan in the LMP1, they made Le-Mans their own over the past decade. 908 was (is) quick, but they had horrible reliability. Endurance racing isnt all about speed.

For these 24 minutes, it kind of is all about speed. So far PD haven't introduced breakdowns into the game, so reliability isn't a problem. ;)

I'm still an Audi fan, but I prefer the R8/R10 cars to the R18. Except that the R18 just looks cool as hell.

My personal experience in this event in this game is that the 908 works best for me, and the R18 hasn't won it for me yet in a couple of tries. Doesn't mean I won't keep trying, of course, because I know that the car's a winner.

Once you get the setup correct, they are both pretty even, but the 908 has more power, and somehow PD didn't give R18 flashers, it's flashers are one of the high points of that car and the sound just makes it worse.

You're not reliable with that avatar ;)

908 (i tried them both on stock) is faster than R18.
I actually hate Audi in the WEC, I pray for their cars to come to a halt or have gearbox failures, but I have to say the R18 has a huge edge in the corners. It feels like it's going to spin on you, but it just keeps finding more grip.

yeah good point ;)

Still have the R18. But, if could have it would be the R18 E-tron 👍

Although i really want to try to Deltawing

It's not that fast on the straights and it's pretty tricky at corner exits since it's so heavy at the rear. I wouldn't recommend it to challenge the likes of a 908 or Speed8.

Once you know how to drive it, it's a giant killer. It does need a LOT of work though.

I have the Deltawing, used that for the GT World Championship.

Good car to use on alot of corners since it's lightweight, though on straights i kept getting beat by every other LeMan's car in the race.

R18 needs to be pushed hard for good laptime....It drives different to most MR in the game since its so front biased weight wise(49:51 or something like that), like their real life counterpart uses fat front tires and needs loads of downforce and commitment into the corner. Its also lacking power. The more traditional(relatively speaking) 908 and Speed 8 is a bit more "simple" and you can just keep the cornering tidy and just use the power on the straight.

In my opinion... I'll take the R18.
The 908 is faster in the straights, but the Audi eats it alive in the corners, and a lot less nervous at the limits.
Both cars' interior views are a little difficult to accurately attack the apexes though haha.

One of the few cars I actually drive from the roof cam....not being able to really "turn your head" is an issue here I think....also kinda makes you wonder how they do it for real....:D
