My mum made a hippo. :D
And the original allowed people and animals. :(

Fine

The western style toilet.

Allows you to deposit your needs without showering whoever is on the street.

Invention credit is disputed from all the sources I found. Most say not Thomas Crapper though.

Japan went that step further and added hundreds of buttons for your toilet.

The object in your nomination needs a year. Fix that mistake and it will be added to the queue ASAP.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but there will not be a poll up today, due to a family event that I am attending.

Icehotel

www.icehotel.com
Icehotel is the world’s first hotel made of ice and snow. Founded in 1989, it is reborn in a new guise every winter, in the Swedish village of Jukkasjärvi – 200 km north of the Arctic Circle. The Torne River, the arts, and creating a setting for life-enriching moments are at the heart of it all.

This winter season there is big news— a whole new ice experience to be enjoyed alongside our classic Icehotel experience. ICEHOTEL 365 is a permanent structure that will include luxury suites, each with private relax and bathroom, and art suites, all sculptured by selected artists. As well as a large ice bar that serves champagne, and an ice gallery. This ice experience can be visited year-round and is cooled by solar panels during the summer months.
...
To be able to cast the building, “snice” is produced – a mixture of snow and ice made of water from the river. The snice is sprayed onto molds, which are removed once the structure has consolidated. It’s then finally time to continue the creative process inside the meter-thick walls. The aim is to use water from the Torne River as far as possible. The rooms are constructed in a classic, catenary arch shape, which is self-supporting and incredibly strong. Room after room is filled with snow and ice in the right amounts, so when the artists arrive they can get started and immediately turn their sketches into reality. Six weeks later it’s finished – with the work of many hands the river has changed shape and been transformed into art.

You can't get any more cool or wall than that.

1993-present Fidget Spinner

Fidget_spinner_red%2C_cropped.jpg

Information:
In 1993, chemical engineer Catherine Hettinger created the Fidget Spinner, a simple device that's purpose was to ease depression and increase the ability of a person to focus. These toys also were capable of calming down autistic children and kids with other disabilities. Fidget spinners became widely popular in America with kids and teens in 2017, and they became sold almost anywhere, at prices between as low as $3 to up to $2000.

1993 - Present Texas Roadhouse

Founder:
W. Kent Taylor
Headquarters: Louisville, KY
Food served: Steak, ribs, seafood, burgers

Texas Roadhouse was founded on February 17, 1993, at the Green Tree Mall in Clarksville, Indiana; across the Ohio River from Louisville. Founder W. Kent Taylor lived in Colorado and worked at nightclubs and restaurants there, having aspirations to attend a culinary school. In 1990, Taylor returned to his hometown of Louisville. He began work as a Kentucky Fried Chicken manager, and had dreams to open a Colorado-themed restaurant. Former Kentucky Governor John Y. Brown, Jr. helped Taylor fulfill his dream by backing him with $80,000. In 1991, Taylor opened Buckhead Hickory Grill, the chain that would eventually become Buckhead Mountain Grill. Taylor was his own executive chef. Brown invested more money and wanted to open a second store in Clarksville, but complications in the partnership caused it to fall apart. Taylor through Scott Canfield found new partners and was forced to use a new name, Texas Roadhouse. A year later, he sold his shares in Buckhead Mountain Grill.

GTPlanet vs Wham!

2010-present

Created by @RouWa, expertly run currently by @Daniel

This game successfully turns 2 months of the year into fear of that song. Clicking links, watching videos, listening to the radio, shopping and watching TV all turn into an exercise in paranoia as you try to avoid hearing one of the most played Christmas songs around.
R.I.P. George Michael, which will only make this year's Christmas even tougher.

Okay, I'm going to try something new to increase the amount of nominations on the queue. This may or may not be successful.

From now on (unless the # of nominations does not go up), all you need to do is just state what you want to be polled. You do not need to give information, a year, or even a picture; I will find all of that information.

Glad to see this new system is working effectively and bringing in more nominations :)
