Sorry but I saw quite a few posts ago about the FIA GT3 v1.3 - and I've downloaded it, and its brilliant with the new Ferraris and MercedesBut when I go to the Spa 24H 2011 section all the cars (except the Ferraris/Mercedes) are all in a red liverly and then the McLaren is in orange. But when I take it to the track all the cars (except the McLaren) work, but the McLaren doesn't and Im driving a grey box basically when I select the Mclaren. Im just wondering is there any update or something? Because I can't find anyone else saying this problem
Unless I need to change something, or the fact I did have the 1.0 verison ( I did unistall and delete it)
Thanks for reading and hope theres help![]()
Sorry but Im really new to rFactor - could you explain what you mean by the DX9 and stuff? Because I don't understandI think some others were having this problem on the thread at f1 classic.
Have you tried the memory patch and adding +fullproc to your shortcut? Also, are you running in DX9 as you should be?
Memory patch
and then google +fullproc

Edit the config.ini in the rFactor-directory like this:
ShaderLevel=3
No problem, we were all new to it once. 👍 The link Jav posted above my post actually covers how to activate DX9.
Edit: Here's what you have to do;
I'm already running DX9 (thats the bit about quality right?)
I tired to change it but everytime it said there was another one and wont allow me to save itI know where it is and stuff - but couldnt change it as it won't allow me to save it
You have to allow access to save changes to the notepad file. What version of windows are you running?
Vista - I have access, but its saying I cant save it in the file :/
Also is the DX9 about the Windows DirectX 9?
Here's how to do it in vista
Follow that tutorial, or the one in my last post and it will let you save the edit in config.ini
Yes DX9 is directx9, editing the ini file will activate it. I had a similar problem where even though I had it selected in the rfactor settings window (where you set resolutions etc), I had to manually edit the config.ini
I found the problem - I had 2 different config.ini, and changed it to 3 in the correct one. Try again - still doesn't work
Should I now install the Directx9 now? Or try the memory thing? But I have used more than 2GB of MODs Im 100% sure on that, as I have like 9 - one being 1.2GB so I think thats not the problem
Not sure why you would have 2 config.ini files...
You should already have DX9 installed, so no need to install that. Try the memory patch and +fullproc. More than 2GB of mods is storage space on your hard drive, the memory patch is to free up memory GB, which is different. You only need to do the memory patch if you're on Vista 64bit though, there isn't a need on 32bit.
If that doesn't work, then I'm afraid I don't know how to help beyond that...![]()
But Im 100% sure Im a 32bit computer and running DX9Asenico
Bug in the mod.
Bug in the mod.
JavI had some trouble at first with the McLarens too, you'll find here what fixed it for me:
http://f1classic.your-talk.com/t8919p270-released-fia-gt3-2010-v13-by-sandroxgpfan
Then my best adviceis to post your problems on that thread.
Hmm ok - I'll try and work out what to do but that very confusing for me if Im honestI have zero problems with Mclaren it's not a mod dependant bug. Sometimes tracks cause material bugs: for instance, same name used in a car .mas and in track .mas at the same time. This could cause confilct and rFactor not able to load you the car properly. try to use a different track.
Also use a shortcut on your desktop for rFactor.exe and add the following sentence:
"D:\rFactor\rFactor.exe" -trace=30
Obviously you need to use YOUR path ( yourdisk:\yourfolder\rFactor.exe) or it won't work.
Apply changes,
Run rFactor,
let the bug happen,
close rFactor,
open your rFactor folder,
go to UserData\LOG,
open trace.txt,
read the trace file.
You'll figure out where the bug is.
Right click on your rFactor Desktop Icon, and choose PROPERTIES.Hmm ok - I'll try and work out what to do but that very confusing for me if Im honest![]()
HKS racerRight click on your rFactor Desktop Icon, and choose PROPERTIES.
In the TARGET box after .exe (leave a space) then add -trace=30
Next time you get a CTD, go to your Userdata folder and in the LOG folder there will be a trace.txt file.
The problem is usually at the bottom in the last few lines.
There's no dumb questions, only dumb answers, rFactor can be a huge mess. It's all about swearing and tweaking.
No liveries could be an issue in .veh files? (total random assumption) Proably there's something else going on, sometime trace 30 don't tell you everything. Try "-trace=100"
but I don't guarantee anything.
Ok I bought a graphics card and it now worksIts amazing and better now to have the McLaren 👍
JavSweet! Good to see you finally got it to work! Pretty nice mod! I love it!
