Online practice sessions can be REALLY fun with a good group of people.
Again, I don't care so much about pace as I do about consistency.

thinking of hosting an apex mod gt3 league on race2play sometime mid week.

joining/racing is free you would just need to register to their site so you can have access to server passwords and stat tracking

if anyone is interested let me know

So going back to playing rFactor again, I select the BMW from the Enduracers mod and see if I can manage better laps around Sebring now that I got better throttle control. Sadly, its only slightly fixed the problem as while I can hold the RPM I want to in the gear I want to, it still has the outrageous habit of stepping out on me under brakes.

Also, I'm still trying to figure out how to get rid of all this lag I keep getting. Its not unbearable, but its quite irritating as I could be much faster without it. As of now, I constintly in the back of my head going "ok, when is this gonna freeze up next?" while doing some of these laps. So with both these issues, I have three questions:

1. What would be the most sensitive steering setting?
2. What is "Auto Detail FPS"?
3. What could I do to minimize the lag I get? I'd at least like about 30-40 FPS consistantly and without this cutting and freezing in some places.

All GT cars seem to do this for me - I don't think there is anyway to solve it.

Also what is the BMW? I don't have it, unless its an addon, but I don't see it on the EnduRacers website.

BMW M3 GT2. It is an Add-On, hence why you don't see it on the site.

Can you all recommend a site or two where I can connect with people to race RF online?

(Not sure if that's against the rules here. Don't want to get in trouble.)

Can I ask the question about the "All track and vehicles bit"
How do you put MODS into that section? I do not understand, and I'm not very clever with computers. Thanks 👍

2. I don't like this feature because it randomly decide to cut things from the screen to keep the frames, it really scucks when a car in front of you disappear.

3. I had the micro-freeze issue with Enduracers mod but usually I'm on 60fps in every mod. I'm start thinking the freeze is mod realted. My rF works fine with everything else. My enduracers was still running at 60 fps but has these annoying tenth of seconds freezes.
Maybe we need a rather powerful pc to overkill this micro-freeze. If you run at 120 fps and you drop at 70 if your monitor has 60hz you won't notice it.

Are we still doing the 24 hours Le Mans? Because I'd like to be a part of it, and doing some practise. I found I'm better out the box in LM cars, but with the heal & toe method for the GT car's I have improved a lot and can do better time's and consistency matching every lap I do

Also wondering if there is a room we could practise in?

I just need to own up and get this game. I wanted to wait for rF2, but it looks like good content is still a ways off for the new version. I've only played the first rF demo, but it looks great in all of these screen shots.

Definitely woth buying! Physics are different from mod to mod, I couldn't really compare them to GT5 or iRacing as they have their own set of characteristics and behaviours. They are more forgiving than iRacing but to an extent more difficult than GT5, but saying they are in between the 2 isn't really a fair description.

Once again, it depends on the mod and track. But in most cases, it's brilliant, much better than GT5, plus you can tweak it if you don't like it.

Sounds great. So this seems like the modder's playground game. 💡 I like that idea.

I think I still have the demo disc around here. Might purchase it tonight. How do they do the online profiles?

It's a must have for any hardcore sim racer.
