Hi guys,

RaceFactor is holding an endurance race around the Bathurst circuit in BTCC machinery on Monday night, 8.00PM Australian Eastern Daylight Savings time. The race is hotswap enabled, and two drivers must participate per car, with a minimum of 25 laps completed per driver. The race is 60 laps. There are still a few seats available.

Feel free to ask some questions, and to register at www.racefactor.com.au, jump on the teamspeak, and have a fun nights racing. Most of the blokes there are decent-if you're under 16 you might want to have a chat with me regarding appropriate language etc., but otherwise they're all nice guys who want to race.

Would like to have a run at Race Factor. But will be playing tennis I think on that night. So can't do it, but would've been in for sure...

Looks like it'd be a great race though, always love hotswap events and wouldn't mind to do some V8 Supercar racing again to be honest. Missed racing Australian cars on Australian tracks.

It was a good race. Couple of dropouts (Zeff, Pud, Cranky, Demented), but Snakey and I came second behind Grubby and Radar.

Also, we can get you a link to the ADN mod if you want it-it's not bad.

Nah man, got the ADN mod. Although I don't have the patch for it. ;)

It's not a bad mod overall, but I find that V8Factor and the iRacing V8 Supercar are still much better. The car feels too stiff and almost not connected to the road. Not once does it really feel like the suspension and/or tyres are working. The snap oversteer under acceleration is silly. I don't have any problem with it, but it's stupid that it just snaps and throws you into a wall. They're my biggest problems with the mod, but overall, better than FVR no doubt.

Good to hear the race was good and well done on 2nd mate. 👍

Patch doesn't fix anything major-just makes the sprint and enduro upgrades work properly.

I'll get you it anyway, because we have a server with it running, but the general consensus agrees with you-the gearshifts are also a little harsh (I'm sorry, but they don't have to lift for 1-2 and 2-3, even 3-4 shouldn't be a problem).

We have a new BTCC mod too-Radar's done a good job.

It can be, however you need to be signed up for the league to be able to access the link.

It's a 2011 mod.

It also mustn't be shared.

Megane Trophy + Virginia International Raceway (full course, not the short course or the combined layout) = awesome fun.

V8Factor Unleashed mod Trailer released. Cannot wait for this mod, I think it will undoubtedly be one of the best rFactor will see. Hoping it also makes it's way onto rFactor 2 as well... Unfortunately, no release date as of yet.

I wonder if The Pits will use this mod for the Bullrun 1000 later this year or stay with the NAGT mod they used for the last 3 runnings. The 2007 edition of the race had ORSM's V8 Factor as the car mod of choice.

Dear GTPers,

I need some help/guidance. I downloaded the 1 hr trial of rFactor and was a little surprised at how bad the graphics were. I mean, I knew the game was a little old before I downloaded it, but I didn't expect to find graphics that look worse than LFS's which people already slam for being outdated and stuff (I don't mind them, in fact, I like them). I don't want this to sound like I want state of the art graphics, I just didn't expect them to look so outdated.

I downloaded the full installer, I think version 1.255.

Did I do something wrong?

No did nothing wrong. All I can suggest is are you running DX9? all all graphics maxed including Anti Aliasing and all textures as high as possible. The difference between low textures and DX7 to DX9 is huge. Just go and check in your video config in your rfactor folder to make you have DX9.

Arhok, i'm running an Enduracers SP1 league at Australian Virtual Racing but it would the time we're racing is from about 6pm on a Sunday night (GMT +11). So may not be ideally suited to your time zone....

I'm actually using DX11. :scared:

thanks Mad94d, it would be about 7am on sundays.. mm not too bad, can i give it a try???

Link is here www.australianvirtualracing.com. There is a sign up thread in the rfactor series section. The mod is being uploaded to the server as we speak and will most likely be up and running within 48 hours. First race is Late February but there will be practice nights ahead of race night. 👍 Should be a good league, quite a few competitive clean racers signed up.

If you have any problems with setups or anything with the league give me a yell.

Yes, practice is available at any time. There will be a track pack and skin pack going up before the series. But at the moment the server has been bought and the admins are uploading the files to the server (but having trouble with the uploads failing). But it shouldn't be too long before the server is operational. 👍

Forgot to post this, but here's the third Acura I painted:

For those of you that don't know, Virtua LM has recently released their Sebring Track mod. Here's a Video I completed earlier showing the differences between the previous one I had from IDT Simulations and Virtua LM's Version:

In my opinion, this finally gets Sebring right. Bumps aren't over exadurated, Layout is accurate and no more stupid power lines over the start finish (not that important, but it irked me to no end).

Great skins Racecar, nice.

Didn't see this post, thanks man. Video has also been added to that post.

It's been a while since being in this thread. I recently downloaded (and gave a second chance) to the Serie Internationale du Mans mod. I'm doing a bunch of races to try to boost up experience to race the prototypes. I am enjoying racing the Corvettes in GT1 and the Porsches in GT2. I would be enjoying the Ferraris in GT2, but the default setup (I normally race default setups for cars anyways) makes them tough to keep in a straight line, and they get hellishly unstable under braking. Almost like it want to veer to the left or the right as I'm trying to brake straight. It's not my controller because it works just fine.

Anyhow, this is a great mod. I've even somewhat grew interested in making my own skins for the cars in the ILMS mod.
