I think he means CSGT70 / LM70.

That's it! It's a vintage race car lovers nirvana.

@Voltaic: Glad to know it's not me:p I'm sure with a few hours of practice I'll get it. Oh and that truck mod looks cool, I'll have to give that a try as well.

Chances are slim but...well.

I've tried the F1 1994 mod once more but the car's extremely twitchy. I'm using the T500 RS F1 wheel addon, so if anyone could recommend a setting for the wheel in-game & in Windows and, if possible at all, the 1994 Williams, it'd be much appreciated.

F1 1994 is one of my favorite mods, so is the 1991. You have to just get used to them.

I am ready to try and set up the server. Problem is, I need a monitor to use with the server, waiting on a friend to turn up so I can borrow one of his. I will update you guys, but given this is a race weekend I am not sure how much time I'll have.

I'm looking forward to Adelaide it's a good track.

Have you decided which mod you'll be hosting on the server?

.

Right, I was just a bit curious since I turned on all the assists and it was still really hard to keep the car on track.

I see, thanks. I just wanted to give it a go, without taking care of physics etc. too much - seems like I have to learn yet another game. :)

No assists, very frustrating at first but great long term. You must drive these mods wearing socks only, no shoes. Every time I get away from any F1 mod I have crash after crash initially. They take a feather touch to drive.

Not sure what the PC will handle. To be honest, any of the previously mentioned mods. If this works, I would like for us to have fun above all. Good, clean racing but fun!

Sounds good! Please link us to the mod and track we will use on each particular week!

I'd definitely be down for some DTM and V8SC racing!

Unfourtunately for rFactor and any other sims out there GT5's version of Nurb is by far the best there is! Hopefully someone will step up and make a laser scan of the Green Hell before it goes away.

Ok, I'm gonna sound like a total noob here but how do I get a secondary install?

totally agreed. I got every nordschliefe mod on rfactor central because I was looking for a decent one, sadly they're all pretty inaccurate. The one in GTR Evo isn't too bad but even that just isn't close to the real thing.

I pray for the day that iracing scans it or when someone figures out how to port GT5s version to other games/sims

Still couldn't change the driver and windshield banner textures, so this is final:

Will send PMs to the "owners" once they're uploaded.

OK guys, I got a monitor for the server. I am currently D/L the Enduracers combo installer.

Two things;

1. I am still unsure if I can use my license for both the server and my gaming PC. Please let me know if you know.

2. I may need help setting up the ports if the instructions I found from ISI are not sufficient.

If this works, we can try it sometime tonight or tomorrow after the race, just as a test, hoping of course the server PC is powerful enough.

If this works well, consider it our new home of rFactor :)

Cheers

Woohoo! Can't wait! Unfourtunately I'm a dummy whe it comes to more advanced PC stuff...

There is, I used it, put the .dds in the car folder and it still reverts.

Did you change the number to the correspond to the car you painted?

Been using the default Rfactor open wheel cars, what great fun they are! Oh and I have a question for you all, I'm assuming you all have the Enduracers Endurance series mod right? What traction control setting do you all use, particularly on GT cars? Nice work on that livery by the way Ace, will it be available for download or is it more of a private mod?

No aids on my part and am pretty sure most of the guys don't use them either as the league we run does not use them.

Is that a helicopter I can see flying around at the speed of light when the driver is near the corkscrew? At first I thought it was some kind of crazy racing line indicator...

I've never even looked at the default cars in rFactor (except for the NASCAR-alike in the demo), I had downloaded a selection of mods before I'd even bought the game so I've spent most of my time with those. I might have to have a go in some of them soon, but I just downloaded the CAN-AM mod with the Chap 2J so it might be a while!

Yes.

I use the low TCS on the LMP1 cars from the Endurance Mod, because they are really hard to control with the gamepad. No aids on other cars or other mods though.

Thanks regarding the skin, it's kinda "private" indeed though.
