Turn them in for a Fraudulent Claim then, or at least do something if you've been waiting 7 Months.

i too emailed him months ago when ppl were waiting for theirs and he gave me the exact same reply, 3weeks lol this was months ago and the same ppl still seem to be waiting now like back then.

its too dodgy i'd stay well away if i were you

Good to know that... Especially when he promised the other user he would ship his this wednesday, thus doing it in much less than 3 weeks. I'm trying to find another solution, but the one available here in Brazil, Playseats, have that supporting structure in between your legs, and I like using left foot braking when driving cars that don't have the clutch pedal (F1, karts etc), and that thing takes some mods to support the Fanatec wheels. Any suggestions guys?

First time post guys.
I have read your comments but still decided to place an order. The seat is good plus no one is suggesting Renato is crooked just a bit tardy lol.

Anyway my experiences with him has been okay, a year ago I enquired and got quick responses.

Same this time, I emailed him for current prices and got a same day reply. I them checked on immediate availability and he came right back staying I could get one from this week's production run.

So I paid on Friday and got confirmation of the receipt of funds on Monday and a promised Wednesday shipping date.

I'll keep you posted as to when I physically receive my seat.

I do hope that he can get some financial/production support to help grow his business, it would be a shame for all us Sim racers if a great products die for the lack of funding support.

good luck! By the sounds of it there are many people ahead of you that have been waiting for months, so Wednesday shipping sounds kinda crazy!!

Maybe they just finished a big batch of Rinoseats and are now shipping them out to customers new and old?

.I really wanted the GTR for the lightweight no center post design, but decided not to because of the extended (absurd) delays. I was going to wait until Rinoseat caught up with production and developed a more efficient distribution method. I couldn't wait, searched the internet and bought a Sim Seat instead. It is very light, sturdy and inexpensive. It has a center post, which I thought would bother me, but it's hardly noticeable. However, if the middle post is not your cup of tea, they are coming out very soon with a no center post design. These guys are great with communication and can customize the rig the way you like with any wheel. As someone who was very close to buying a Rinoseat, and having followed the frustration on this thread. I just wanted to share this alternative. Happy racing!

I just wanted to remind you all that people do get their seats. I have now had mine for about 1,5 months, and I'm loving it.

Although it took 4 months for me to get mine and on top of that it got stuck in the customs but still, now it feels like it was totally worth it.

The seat looks good, is comfortable and pretty much unbreakable. It's also great that you can get it customized for different wheels and in many colors. The price isn't bad either.

If you can wait for a few months, order it, you won't be dissapointed.

Here's a few pictures of my seat/setup;

Sometimes,
I've been waiting nearly 9 months, Its been sitting at the Croatian post office now outbound for 20 odd days!!! What the!

I've givin up it will come when gt6 is finished !

Anyone worked out how the inverted pedals work for the g27?
I've followed all the instructions and they are "raised" however not inverted I'm happy to pull the casing apart and invert the covers however not sure how this works

If you keeping them on original base, after inverting, You just gotta unscrew brake, clutch pedals at base and switch positons . Then you gotta, unscrew all the pedal plates, and invert them too. Look up Chilicoke reverse mount on youtube. It's well worth the trouble. Actually, no trouble at all.

Hi friends! i paid for a rinoseat a week ago, a renato dont reply my messages,
, do you think finally i will have my shipment or i will loose my money? I trust in this man, I hope it have a happy ending, thanks

Just a hunch and based on what i have read in forums, I do not think you will get scammed by Rinoseat. You will probably have to wait a very long time for it.
Good luck and hoping you get it sooner than most.

Boothman,

I do not have a Rinoseat. Did you order yours with a reverse mount bracket from them? If not, I suggest using maybe L brackets mounted to wood as a base.

Hi all,
just wanted to join the already long list of scammed buyers ....

It's now 6 monthes that I have paid my seat and no more replies to my mails.

Renato has 2 mail policies :
- quick replies to new customers, promising deliveries within few weeks only.
- no reply once the payment is received.

I hope I'll finaly get my GTR but if I had an advice to give to newcomers : stay away from rinoseat if you want to get your seat before 2013.

bummer...yeah, I did notice how some posters asking prices to Rinoseat would get prompt responses and then I also see many stories such as yours where customers who paid for seat cannot get a reply. Not a good business model (imho, ymmv). If the company is so overworked making seats and replying to potential customers then they need to hire an additional worker to help with the customers who paid for seat.
:indiff:

Hello

thank you all for these negative feedbacks !

I was interested by the Rinoseat GTR, and I received very quickly plenty of informations from renato : docs, photos and estimated delivery time of 8 days ...

I was on the way to order a seat but after reading all these bad experiences from users having payed and not being delivered after months, I have changed my mind.

I have to find another brand.
Any advice within the same prices ?

Hi,
good news for all of you that claim not receiving their seat : I received the information from Renato that the late deliveries are over and that all the shipments that were pending have been sent in August (there are now working on filling a stock)....

Can you confirm that ?

Sounds promising and I would like to believe the guy but maybe is it just a way to convince me for ordering a seat .... and then wait like others?

@Hasido : thanks for sharing your experience with Sim Seat, it looks like a good alternative, especially the "SR-X Driving Simulator" which is not a center post design.

Waiting your feedback before making my mind about my seat order.

I say wait til several ppl get their seats and also wait for renato himself to reply in this thread explaining things. then maybe

Good that he replys to you Maxim. Then again your showing interest in placing an order.

He doesn't seem to respond to people who have made an order though.

Wonder if he sees Forza as a quick cash cow.

Would never order anything from this guy.

ISR forum he responded to some guy who was bashing him recently. The guy even posted his freaking receipt from like 8 months ago and no rig. There are always two sides to a story though. In any event I don't see any real excuses for them to not be able to produce what they've promised.

If you read the ISR Rinoseat thread he says the materials he's working with are difficult to use. Aluminum tubing and round bar has been around for a LOOOONG time. I've seen people build complete cars faster than this company builds rigs.

He says his machining tolerances are within .01", but any machinist who does the same thing over and over finds ways to make indexing prior to machining easier/quicker. For their own sake as well as their customers. If one of my customers waited nearly a year for us to machine a block or set of heads, they'd surely yank it from our shop and go elsewhere as its an unacceptable lead time. We hold tolerances of +/- .0001"

Just too many horror stories of no solid communication past collecting the money. Some stories of people with tracking numbers that don't move for weeks and months on end.
Some stories of happy customers as well. The disgruntled individuals will always be louder than those who are happy and actually enjoying their product. Who knows maybe there's hundreds of happy Rinoseat owners who don't bother chiming in on the issue...

This is just sad. I was interested in one of the GTR seats as my secondary sim seat when I don't want to get in the F1 chassis. Its a very solid design and looks great. Unfortunately as always there is some numskull heading the company and a good design goes down the toilet. sigh.

Hopefully my post about the ISR thread wasn't taken as bashing them. There are some posts of people in this thread that got their rigs and are very pleased with it. I actually like the design and features it offers, just not at nearly a year lead time.

I'd really like to see WHO and HOW they build these things. I've had a few different shops in SoCal bend and cut aluminum piping for intercooler setups, never had to wait longer than a month in a bad scenario.

Pics of manufacturing facility and process maybe would explain more as to the "complexity" and delays they face in producing...

@Maximuse

According to Sim Seats, the guys over at Insidesimracing was sent the SRX for review. Hopefully it will be soon and a positive review. I have the old design SR1 with center post, but I love it. They can customize it for you too. Customer service is excellent. Good luck on finding your rig!I

evening guys ive had my seat for a few months now love it to bits!
makes racing a whole other game!!!

only issue is the "inverted pedals" or lack off i however apart from the fantastic!

Terrible, I've ordered rinoseat with inverted pedals, and I've got it after like over-six-month waiting except for the inverted padals. A couple months ago, he said he's gonna send the inverted pedals by end of August, but it's now already more than two months later. I contacted him for that again, and I'll see what happens.
I expected the shipping situation gets better but it seems going the opposite way.
