May I ask which tune that you use? An own? Or from someone?
Search in the tuning forum and I'm sure you'll find a few - Detuning down <800PP is very simple though. Just lower ECU and Limiter and lower aero in front mostly. I'd just play around with ECU, Ballast (i'd use less), and limiter and find a spot you like. Use RH's and you can no-pit on FM1.

Thx! Will try!

This is my favorite tune for the 787B on Sardegna:

Are you talking about the 787B? The fuel efficiency is INSANE with that car, especially when having to detune the ECU. Ive never used below FM1 with that car with Sardegna
Yea that's right, I don't pit stop haha

Simple - takes more concentration to avoid a costly mistake and like I said, I like to mix up the cars to complete the race. Unless you're using GR.3 in Sardegna its a cakewalk and I find it boring

Same here, and lower to easy so can then use higher pp road cars for variety.

I Did this today and it was actually some nice fun driving.
Mazda RX7 with R26B engine swap. Racing Hard tires and FM6. AT and no pit stops.

I use the Escudo!
~1:33 average time per lap and around 25 minutes to finish the race with at least a minute in front of second place!
Very easy

Only issue that I have with 962C is that the bonnet cam is mounted 2 meters above the roof of the car, possibly on some drone that follows it around. Other than that, amazing car, like all the other GrC cars.

Do you remember FM strategy and how many pitstops?
Full power, 3 stops i think!
Still faster than other cars with 1 or 2 stops due to the quick lap times of the escudo!
Racing hard tyres, so only fuel stops needed!

Changed the transmition yesterday, now im running high 31's on perfect in laps!

This thing is a beast!

Still trying to find the best top speed though, should be around 300 on the finish straight!

Hi!
tried a lot of cars on this track but the GR010 still the fastest.

Top 5 cars based on time trials
1: Toyota GR010 HYBRID -1:33~
2: GRAN TURISMO F1500T-A - 1:35~ (the funnest to drive for me)
3: Mazda LM55 VISION GRAN TURISMO - 1:36~ (Smoothest car on this track)
4: Mazda 787B '91 - 1:36~ (still learning to drive faster on this car)
5: McLaren Ultimate Vision GRAN TURISMO (Gr.1) - 1:37~

Not really a great driver but proud on my times above.

GRAN TURISMO F1500T-A ... what Manufacturer is that?

Lots of great cars to run here, but Tom’s Lexus SC430 GT500 is my favorite and Sauber C9 is a close second for me. Run slightly lean FM and pit around lap 9 or 10 for a splash of fuel, drop to FM1 and finish right around 25 mins.

Just tried Sardegna with the MP4/4.

Only parts available are all tyres, Ballast, power restrictor and fully custom transmission(haven’t applied that yet).

Tyre wear was at half by end of Lap 8. Fuel was .3 laps left. Pitted for tyres and fuel(100% was 8.1 laps). Ran the whole race at Fuel 1. Lap times were 1:37-1:38 all race. Slowed to 1:39 for Laps 5 & 6 to eke out a bit more before pitting.
Finished the race with half worn tyres and .9 Laps of fuel.

What is your best car for Saradegna WTC800?
CLK GTR. Probably the best car I’ve used in terms of grip and speed. Not that much horsepower but exit speeds and entry speeds are nice. Will need a tune as it is above the pp limit and you will have to put but I have made solid high 24 min low 25 mins on controller

Currently the Mazda 787 is my favorite car for Sardegna. There are some others that also perform good but this one just suits me

Currently the Red Bull Comp is what I use most. I have also run it with an engine swapped RX-7, the Audi R-18, the Porsche 919, F1500T-A, and the best (not easiest) race is with the Ferrari F-XX-K. The Porsche and the Ferrari both have KERS systems that will run out of power in just a couple of laps. The Porsche's is useful, the Ferrari's is not.
The R-18 is used in the circuit experience here, BTW.

I was grinding with the CLK, looking for other options.
Things I'm gonna try after seeing this thread:
  • the MP4/4 F1, the 95 and 97 Mc F1 race cars
  • GT500 and Group C beasts

But first I'm gonna have a go with an Atenza with a 787 engine swap. Which is my suggestion, I'll get back with the results after I tune (and paint) it.

Bugatti VGT - Only do one pitstop the whole race.
FM1 for laps 1-5
FM4 for laps 6 and 7.
Pit after lap 7 and FM6 for laps 8-12. During lap 12 I switch back to FM1 to finish out the race. No need for short shifting and an easy win with the credit bonus every time. This cockpit in VR inspires me to become a millionaire so I can buy a Bugatti. 😎 Although it is more like your income would need to be around 100mill per year to justify owning one.

I managed to do it all in 24mins no pit with the Peugeot (forget its name now , L400 vgt or along them lines ) not the le man car but the concept gr.1 , fm 6 and short shifting but wasn't a bad drive , mind was switched off for most of the race
