Thats what they used to do in the old days with DEC PDP-8 computers. (late 60s.) Since those machines used to use magnetic ferrite core memory modules, they could use certain commands to make different electro-magnetic interference frequencies. If they had them arranged right and an AM radio near, they could play music.

Actually, it wouldn't take too long to do that. All you'd need to do would be figure out the power required to make the scanner generate those different pitches (which would be a logarithmic thing, no doubt), find the midi file online, and tell it to play the midi file with the power requirements you'd figured out before.
