Some one needs to buy PD a 2014 calendar.

Gran Turismo 6 is just a videogame; a mere element of recreation. Its fundamental design is based around burning off spare time in a positive way. Its purpose is not to completely form someone's life. In anticipation of the upcoming content, I decided to comb through a couple of threads because I'm curious to see what everyone is thinking. The fact that people are up in arms about a couple of hours' delay in the release of 3 cars and 2 tracks is just preposterous. I didn't post here for the sake of being an angry hypocrite; rather, I was suddenly angered by the common mindset here, and so posted in expression of my feelings about the whole situation.

But in order to understand that "common mindset" you have to be aware of just how PD has treated their fanbase for the last 6 months. Yeah, it's a game. It's a game that fails on so many basic elements, that you begin to wonder just how PD thinks and do things. It's unacceptable to treat your fanbase this way. (please not that I'm not referring this this particular update, as it's not yet late as far as I'm concerned).

Holy freak, people! I only have to refresh the page to see more posts.
This unreleased content must be popular!

The Delta Wings were actually displayed on complete car list before the game released. It was then held back by some conflict between Nissan and Panoz.

The cars added in the 1.01 update were clearly ready for release. Why they weren't added to the disc is anyone's guess. Going by your logic, a developer could withhold the second half of their single player campaign and release it on day one. Making them the saints of the games industry for delivering so much "new" content.

Wonder if @Jordan @amar212 have any information regarding this.

I do not have any information, but I am having a great time reading all of this 👍

Is 'PD apologists' the new buzzphrase for anyone that tries to not rat on PD? He was rightfully pointing out what has been added to the game, whether you find them worthy additions or not.

No, "PD apologist" is everyone who does not want to become part of the only pure GT religion on the internet - The Gran Turismo Truthers Movement.

Gran Turismo Truthers™ are the only true voice of truth about GT series. Without GTruth™ I would never know so much about the various things that many are simply blind about and they don't want or they can't comprehend the Truth.

And the truth - am I sorry, the GTruth™ - is that you simply are NOT ALLOWED TO SEE ANYTHING POSITIVE or simply find it not so important to lose your mind about it - because that makes you a GT Aplogist.

If you are ready to give those 150 hard-working ladies and gents in PD some slack - you are GT Aplogist.

Whatever you do, you are GT Aplogist.

It is time to learn the GTruth™ my friend.

They probably weren't on the disc because of that dispute between Nissan and Panoz. Because they weren't allowed to have them in the game until the 1.01 update, that qualifies them as new content.

Edit: If a piece of content doesn't come on the disk and you have to download it, that automatically qualifies it as DLC. That is the complete definition. Downloadable content, regardless of the way you acquire it, is content later added to the game, even if it is a day one update.

I think I'm having a fun time participating.

Like a good few other people, I went out and got my copy on December 6th. I've been riding the same train as everyone else for exactly as long. I've received exactly the same 🤬 as everyone else here; I've been playing GT5 for all of the 3-odd years that everyone else has been playing and I know exactly what grounds people have for disappointment. A copy of Gran Turismo 6 costs ~£45; the same as some good tickets to a professional football game. That is not much. I know that it isn't worthwhile getting angry over a game that is as it is, a pretty solid package. You want a good amount of driving and racing experiences? Open your laptop and start training! Race real cars against real people on a real track. Don't get angry about something that plays a part in one's recreational activities. Have a bit of patience and do something else if you think it's a bit 🤬.

Guys what if PD is gonna release it according to the time Ayrton was pronounced dead ? I mean the last picture in the recent slideshow they posted it said " At 2:17, everything at Imola came to a halt. " Clue ?

Lets hope so because if thats the case it will be better late then never :P
