1983. Senna. Le Mans.

Is anyone familiar with the 80's layout of Monza?

It looks fairly similar to the current layout, looks like one more kink in the first chicane and turn three is gone (or elsewhere).
So can anybody fill me in on what the differences are?

I think this is it below.

Shame they didn't mention Silverstone though. That would be more than a little change.

"...such as the #17 DAP Racing Kart he drove to fight in the World Karting Championships and the "Black Beauty" (Senna's Lotus 97T F1 car)..."

"...on tracks like the Brands Hatch GP circuit and the Italian circuit of Monza,"

Still a few more announcements to go I think.

Well, in the slideshows they jump from the Formula Ford years straight to the Toleman F1, the start of the F1 carreer, soooo... no Formula 3 in the game. It's sad, but at least we know we shouldn't expect it coming.

As for people saying PD lost the day to celebrate the 20 years of his death... seriuosly?

They released a mini documentary, wich is the same every other tributes in every other media that bothered did.

They could've started promoting the content earlier and then released it on the may 1st, but they didn't, they opted for announce it on the may 1st, wich by they way I see, is just a weird marketing strategy, not unusual for PD.

I took these photos at Brands Hatch during the 1986 British GP when Senna was driving the 98T. Little did I know at the time that almost 30 years later I would get the opportunity to experience, albeit virtually, what it was like to drive one of these 1,000+ hp beasts around there and, yes, I know it's the previous year's car that PD have modeled.

Those are some beautiful photos, but I guess it was easier when the subject matter was as stunning as it was back then.

That renault livery

👍

Can't wait to drive 80's Brands. It's fairly different now; most corners have been slightly re-profiled over the years, especially Graham Hill Bend which was amazing and is now horrible, and Dingle Dell is a fair bit tighter now compared to then.

I hope we get the tarmac run-off at Paddock Hill

Not sure why some of you are getting excited. What if both 80's Brands and Monza don't have day/night cycle and weather? It'll seem rather a waste of time over only giving both tracks a makeover...

Opinions, opinions.

Besides, as I said previously...

"...such as the #17 DAP Racing Kart he drove to fight in the World Karting Championships and the "Black Beauty" (Senna's Lotus 97T F1 car)..."

"...on tracks like the Brands Hatch GP circuit and the Italian circuit of Monza,"

...there's probably a bit more to come.

Because some of us are happy with the tracks alonr
What's alonr??? And yes I know but day/night cycle and weather makes tracks less dull imo.

I edited my post. And not all of us are bothered by day/night cycle and weather on every track. But since the brands hatch we already have has change time (albeit limited) and weather then I don't see why the 80s one won't either.

As said above.

Day/night cycle would have nothing to do with Ayrton Senna's racing history though, apart from Le Mans I don't think he took part in any major night races.

I think that PD/Kaz are respectful enough not to stick random content with no relation to Senna into this update just to appease uninterested fans. To me that would be quite ignorant and rude.
