It is kinda too wide open for 1980s F1... Not much of a challenge to the driver. I prefer Nürburgring or Zandvoort over that course any day all day. I especially love the modern-day Spa.So wonderful. *v*

True, although I do love the scenery. It is kinda too wide open for 1980s F1... Not much of a challenge to the driver. I prefer Nürburgring or Zandvoort over that course any day all day. I especially love the modern-day Spa.
I'm just making the point that these issues are more complicated than any of us know. It may seem simple to us but might be incredibly difficult on their end. As with the base model 97T, I can't think of many things I'd want more in GT6 than the old version of Spa, but I'm certainly not getting my hopes up. The updated versions of Brands Hatch and Monza are going to satisfy me quite nicely on the new track front, especially since both of them look more enjoyable than the current versions we have (IMO). If we get Interlagos and its kart track, I'll do a little dance. 👍
So is Monaco, but that also requires quite a bit of licensing (which is why we have an inaccurate version called 'Côte d'Azur')Old version of Spa in pCARS is public roads, no license required.

Indeed. I don't see the allure of base models myself anyway, without a livery editor the possibilities are extremely limited.
For reference sake:
And that game likely got permission from the manufacturers to do so. PD also likely got permission from the manufacturers to make the base models. I'm not saying it would be a problem, but I'm certain it would require Lotus' (or whoever owns the rights) permission to alter such an iconic image/car.

the two reasons i would LOVE to have a base model! i wonder if they'll properly simulated the old F1 UBER drafting effect!
sorry but no. If you want to have a field of drivers that behave differently you need cpu power for each and all drivers on grid. If you just want a field of competitive cars you would not need much power or more effort of the AI gt6 already has. You should just tell them to RUN. Would it be more interesting or entertaining? Realistic AI takes lots of CPU power. And really ps3 has been already squeezed to the last bit.
I've never done this myself, but others have reported that the AI is much more competitive if you go to arcade mode and set the laps to "unlimited" so it seems to me the potential is already in the game for better AI, it's just dumbed down for the "career mode". I think you're right, the PS3 is already more than capable of this, it just needs to be unleashed.I never said I wanted or expected that from PS3 hardware. I said PD could easily make them faster, not "smarter" or "human like" with things like aggression, revenge or stressed caused mistakes.
How could you say it wouldn't be more fun when compared to current AI ? You can't be serious or your expectations are WAY too high. It would "fix" the game. I don't need them Einsteins.
What you are describing have little chance of happening even on PS4.
What do you mean 'appropriate names'? As in the names we typed in when we started the game going in the place of Ayrton's name?
Team/Sponsor names. As in typing a name of your online team in place of John Player Special or Team Lotus Special. A ficticious name.
Yeah 10 mins gameplay all in prob. Still happy that they didn't go the PD half assed route of trying to tell some kind of narrative with a Gordonesque mannequin. Would have been icky and embarassing.
Seriously, if they can't handle the game anymore, why not sell the damn franchise to someone who will? I don't care who's in charge; I just want my Gran Turismo back!!
Nothing. They are allowed to use a tobacco sponsorship just as PD is.Main issue with that is that they are trying to avoid tobacco sponsorship. What would stop someone writing John Player Special!
HA! Didn't I said it? Just two cars that are pretty much useless in the long term, and some TT's! Not even a single new track, for crying out loud! Those two "new" tracks are already in the game but just modified. PD laziness is off the charts!!

Let's see you change GT's Monza/Brands Hatch to an accurate historical version then... think of the research alone that has to go into that, even without having seen the final results.
They added that during the maintenance?Senna's F3 RALT was just confirmed. See Senna's opening movie under "Special Events" - shown just after the kart.
Yes, that was a pleasant surprise.Senna's F3 RALT was just confirmed. See Senna's opening movie under "Special Events" - shown just after the kart.
