..yeah, I still count a grand total of 0 problems to have with this.

Also, remember when I said Richard Tatum was returning as Agent 9? This is basically confirmed now.

Also also, on the subject of Agent 9, I wonder if his Fireworks Factory minigame will still be a Doom reference, or if they've decided to switch the HUD up for something more.. "relevant"? I mean, they are Activision, so..?

Also also also, because nobody else jumped on it, it's everyone's favorite, Crush:

There's also been a few screenshots and whatnot, but.. the videos are more interesting.

Speaking of which, the one cutscene literally everybody's been waiting for:

..as it turns out, one of the bosses in the first game is the very essence of the 90's:

And yes, given that the druids feed the beasts wumpa fruit, I'd say the mask is definitely a reference. It's a missed opportunity if it isn't.

I don't know who came up with the idea to get Snoop Dogg involved with this and, as a result, airlift a copy (though I doubt they'd risk it with an actual copy) from New York to L. A. via fire-breathing Spyro-drone, but they deserve some serious credit. If this isn't one of the greatest marketing stunts ever, then I don't know what is.

Adding to that:

*mumble mumble stealing jokes mumble*

In case anyone needed reminding less than two weeks out (hype), that's the roll move in Frozen Altars aka Year of the Dragon.

Now we just need to know if the "laser defense system" makes enemies pop like a balloon and if the penguins still sound like they've stuck the microphone to their face.

Well, I 100% the original trilogy and I'm prepared to do it again.
Same, I was always proud to do that as a kid considering some of the challenges are pretty tough and sometimes locating all the gems on a level can be frustrating. The Spyro games are much easier to complete than the Crash Bandicoots (original 3), though, that's for sure.

Will be a whole new challenge to 100% the games now with all trophies.

IGN has been posting a few gameplays of the first 15-25 minutes of each game.
So it's getting closer.
Less than 48 hours.

People are still bitching about needing to download the game, for some reason they think the game was delayed so they could put all 3 versions of the single disc.
No, the game was delayed as it wasn't 100% ready.

I also wonder if Syphon Filter or Medieval will be remastered.

Some people have the game and are playing it right now.

Canadian Guy has it and has released game play footage of it.

What's really sad is that Game 1 of Spyro has 24 platinum members.
Game 2 has 4.
Game 3 has 4.

Got off work tomorrow, so right after school I'm going straight to GameStop! Haven't been this excited about a game since GT Sport came out!

Yeah, pretty excited about this game, been a long wait and the delay didn't help one bit. Having the pre-order themes on my PS4 I've just been listening to the music of the game. Gonna be a trip down memory lane this game!

I just so happen to have a week and a half vacation soon too so that gives me plenty of time to enjoy this. I've intentionally avoided screen or any news of the game really, so all of it will be a surprise.

I'm heading to gamestop after school tomorrow to pickup my copy aswell. :)

Moneybags in this footage has a voice that reminds me of Tim Curry.

IGN just reviewed it as an 8.5/10

With the option to change music from the New edition and original one.

..and now, the conclusion to one of the very best marketing campaigns ever.

I will be thoroughly disappointed if a gold chain isn't unlocked upon 100%-ing all three games. That's too good an opportunity to miss.

A shame the exam's this week. Just my luck

Impressions after having completed Artisans, Dry Canyon and Cliff Town:

..wait, which part of this was I not meant to like?

It really has been worth every single moment of waiting. I mean, the main menu is not the most exciting thing ever, but.. you're not ever going to play just to sit in the menu, are you? The rest of it, however, is about as brilliant as anyone who's followed the development of this will have come to expect. Again, a special mention goes out to how they've managed to insert extra character into just about everything. Their interpretation of the opening cutscene did made me smile quite a bit. Also interactive loading screens.

If all of this is any indication of the trilogy overall, then this is a must-have.

Might pick it up next week before RD Online... I played the first Spyro on the PS1 and this remake looks amazing!

Only gripe I've had so far in my brief run (completed Artisans and Peace Keepers) is the camera. Other than that it's everything I wanted from a remaster.

Glad we've got the option for original soundtrack, the updated one isn't bad but almost all the tracks feel like they're missing something.

I'm finally playing it and just completed every level in Artisans. The game is still installing though, so I can't do Peace Keepers yet.

The controls still feel so tight, Spyro will turn with eaze and like that. Even with an xbox one controller, the controls feel close to how I remembered.
I also had issue with the camera, but that was fixed when I switched to active mode.

Before leaving this morning for class, I did get a glimpse of the high caves level and I'm glad to see ToysforBob added the timer for the Superflame. Another small improvement for me is that the fairies on the dragon platforms only talk to Spyro if pressing a button versus the original. It slightly annoyed me in the original that I would get an option menu everytime I stepped on one of those when I just wanted to use it as a checkpoint (yes, I know it didn't do that if you charged over it, but still it was annoying).

I started up Spyro 1, played for 5 minutes, and switched to Spyro 2, which is the one I grew up with.

When I first played Spyro 2, I was so young and I didn't have any idea what I doing. If I got stuck, I'd just reset the game and start over from the beginning. So Glimmer and Summer Forest are engraved in my memory. I'm finding it hard to describe the feeling of joy I felt once the opening cutscenes ended and Glimmer loaded. Definitely one of my top 10 best moments in gaming for me.

I've played about 3 and a half hours so far, and I've 100% Summer Forest, and all of it's worlds bar Sunny Beaches and the Speedway.

I'm absolutely in love with this game.

It's so good! Exceeded my expectations and I love revisiting my childhood. The game is really beautiful for one and I am loving their re-imagining of the levels, but at the same time they are all immediately familiar. Music is as good as ever, too.

I've completed Artisans and Peace Keepers 100% in Spyro 1 and currently in . Takes some getting used to using the right stick for camera controls after being used to the shoulder buttons. That can be changed in the settings to be like the original but I like the right stick.

One thing that was a bit of a bummer was the main menu. Since the release of the artwork with the image of all three games, I expected the main menu to be like the Crash Trilogy menu. Overall not a big deal but still, but the one they went with is a bit bland with just the 3 game logos and the image of Spyro as he appears on the original covers of the games. Surprised not to see their re-make of the covers there instead.

I'm simply blown away by the quality of this game. I literally feel like a kid all over again. Everything feels just as it did back in 1998 through 2000. Spyro controls beautifully, and I can hit pretty much all of the notes that I was able to do on the original PS1 classics.

Graphics-wise, it looks incredible. The environments are so lush and vibrant, while also keeping things just cartoony enough to remind you that you're playing a Spyro game. The new enemy designs are also really nice, although I feel like something was lost in transition with the enemies that gave us nightmares as kids, like the Metalback Spiders or the Misty Bog Bush things that would eat Spyro whole. I wasn't freaking out as much when I came across them, and I can't help but feel like some of the enemies were nerfed.

For example I feel like the tongue on the Attack Frog doesn't reach as far as it did on the PS1 version of Spyro, and I feel like some enemies just move slower due to the added frames of animation. I didn't find myself dying nearly as many times as I did back in the day, although that may be because I'm a little more seasoned when it comes to games.

Needless to say though, this remaster was well worth the hype and the wait, and I honestly feel like it exceeded those expectations. It's nearly perfect!
