A Civic Sir -II I think, Amazingly it also won my first online race last week... at Suzuka - home of Honda.

I couldn't get a MX5 - but my USD was massivly out of synchronicity - Do you miss those 400credit races?

Only had this game for two months since I bought the XL edition then immediately updated.

So my first car was a Toyota GT86- definitely couldn't complain at all there.

The first car I bought was actually a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, as I used the cars I won from licenses at first, to save up for a car I really wanted. It's much different to what I started with previously in the GT series; GT2 I bought a Ford Mondeo V6 (which I loved), GT3 I had a Mazda MX5 (which wasn't bad) and GT4 I got a Mitsubishi Galant (which was a hideous pile of sh:censored:). In the light of the excellence of the Mondeo and the SLS, I'd have to say European cars are the best, 'cos they're more desirable.

Honda Civic Type R (EK9) '97

Within the 6 hours I had upgraded to a Integra Type R and then into an Mitsubishi Evo IX

I would start with the Red Bull X2010 Prototype. :sly:👍

Judging by the amount of threads you've already made (and had locked), and the irony of your name, well, I dont expect we'll be seeing your name for much longer..

Back to the topic, the Toyota 86 GT was mine. Deliberatly waited till that update before I finally bought the game.

Doesn't the 86 have a "level" you need to be at to compete with it, as is the case with a lot of cars?

Seems a bit of a shame to me if you can use it straight out of the box, at least for events, as it's superior to anything you can afford to buy.

I think mine was a Miata or Civic, way back. The first few races were less of a struggle than in previous GTs though, not sure if that's because I was just more used to it, but I liked kinda working my way up slowly!

The Level requirement is only if you want to buy the car. If you are gifted a car(threw the global prize ie 86GT/Redbull 2010, or from a friend) you can use any car then. Kind of dumb if you ask me but thats the choice PD made.

I got the 86 GT as a freebie from the update, as most, wait, all, of us did from what I remember.

And the part I have highlighted is complete rubbish. I'm only Level 37, yet I can use the X2011 Prototype as I bought the DLC, and to buy that car is Level 40 otherwise.

yep... exactly :p

I started with an AE86 before my PS3 YLOD'd (which was the same day the game launched), but it didn't get me very far. Then the day after I went out and got a new PS3 and a premium Civic Type R as my new first car, which got me a lot further. I kind of rushed the A-Spec mode, so I'm thinking I might start again and take it easy.

I bought a Mitsubishi GTO as my first car in GT5, but never driven it. I did all the licenses and used the Acura D-NX as my starting car.

lol I think the very first was a Toyota Corolla RunX Z Aerotourer '02, just used it until I had enough Cr. to buy the Volvo C30, guess I haven't touched the Corolla ever since. :)

When did you last run with your first car?
I had a dash in the FF seasonal a few weeks ago.

It was the mx-5 and when i did the sunday cup back in 2010 but i still have it lol.

I have to correct myself. Since I started GT5 all over when I got a new PS3 and I also updated to 2.05 (back then), technicaly my first car was the Toyota 86 GT since I got it for free.

But I didn't use the 86 until later, so the Miata with fancy wood steering wheel still stands as my "first" car.

I still have the little Miata. And I use it frequently. It's very fun to drive with not much added. It might sound dumb, but I like how the car sounds with the stock exhaust. Probably one of the most convincing 4 cylinder samples in the game, in my humble opinion.
