It's really weird that even Jordan isn't giving an explanation for what's happening. He's doing pretty much what Sony is doing and keeping us in the cold.

The last I heard, Jordan was going to try and get some sleep. How dare he!

Then why even going as far as "strongly suggesting" other sites to discuss about the matter, or phantom editing posts/words?
I don't like this lack of transparency and the secrecy at all.

If it was fake sony wouldn't care and it wouldn't be removed from the site without any explanation. I think it's the real deal :) looks good too, can't believe some people has to analyze it so badly. Take a look at your other ps3 discs and start convincing yourself they are fake too.

yea!! i demand that jordan is awake 24/7 and always keep us upp to date.....

Won't it be great if Sony asked Jordan to take the picture down in exchange for giving gtplanet an exclusive on the release date, choosing to announce the release on the biggest gt community on the web. I'm dreaming, slap me awake!

Well Jordan is online now. Ask him!👍

All I'm saying is if he took the time to remove the photo why not just explain why?

This whole issue with the disc, if legit would actually be alot more serious than some realise, if as i belive they got a leak at a plant it could be devestating for Sony in the long run and someone might get in some serious legal trouble, rightly so.

Now imagene if it got leaked onto the net even tho online play wouldn´t be possible it still would be devestating for PD/Sony i just hope this doesn´t give them reason to delay even further. :/

If else, if the game truly got leaked then it's in Sony's best interest to release it as soon as possible before the Internet gets flooded with screenshots, photos and movies of the contents. Also the fact that there might be a copy out there means that savvy users with pc BD readers are able post a complete list of tracks and cars before clearing the game (and of course, before the game is released).

I am just putting this out there,
But do you think this might be
Some kind of Pilot disc or Boot disc?:boggled:

They refused to even send him a review copy of the game and now hes having a meeting with them ?

The real reason behind that could of been because they new the delay was about to happen./Clutching at straws

At first I tended to think it was a fake, but with the image being pulled it now lends creditability to it being legit.
Much like a government secret getting out, the use of a boot on the neck trying to squash it tends to lends more weight to it legitimacy then just letting it just hang out there.

Sure No46_.

But let´s see, we all know that Sony and PD has departments that check community forums. And being GT Planet the largest, I think something is really going on.

I wonder what the guys at Sony and PD are thinking right know.
If I worked at one of those companies I wouldn´t be proud...
What a lack of transparency!
This is really a shame.
Shame on you Sony! WTF!

If things are going to leak as videos and screenshots and this kind of things do some damages do Sony, I would be pleased! 👍

Yes! Of course! What a better way of revenge (afterall how can we really express our disapointment?) for keeping us waiting for so long and with THAT KIND of RESPECT to the people who WILL GIVE THEM MONEY.

in the end of the day, all Sony wants is the money that GT5 will generate.

Even if GT5 launch in 2012, I´ll sure buy it. But come on, I will really hate them for the rest of my life.

How can they dare to say that GT5 will feature a great community?
Of course WE´ll be a great community, but they know nothing about community! They did not respect their community!

Come on Sony, stop being so disrespectful to your community!
WE ARE YEARS WAITING FOR A GRAN TURISMO FOR PS3! GOD DAMN IT!!! :banghead:

If Jordan's right about Sony and the cops not being involved, I have a feeling he's struck some kind of deal with the guy who leaked the image e.g. GTPlanet gets exclusive access to the photos/videos the guy gets from the game in exchange for all the info/links linking it back to the guy him being removed from this website and its forums, or something along those lines.

Or Jordan felt pity for the guy and just removed all his "personal" info from this website..

Why would a picture of a fake disc be treated like a state secret?

It wouldn't be. That's how you can tell that it was not a picture of a fake disc...

I HIGHLY doubt it. What would that accomplish? They've witheald a lot of information about the game thus far and if disks(or one disk) are being leaked the only thing delaying it will cause is more and more information about the game to be leaked until we know everything about it but can't play it. Unless they really, really want to catch the guy but I highly doubt Sony is going to lose out on millions of dollars by missing a holiday release just to catch one dude in Australia.

I agree with you. PD and Sony are not going to delay a game again for one (possible) stolen copy. They are not going to put the chance of postponing millions of dollars for one person who took a disc. Besides, I like many others, believe it is a fake. Although some of the information I am seeing, is pretty convincing.

Why would a picture of a fake disc be treated like a state secret?

Not sure why you think it's being treated as state secret. Jordan took the image down apparently by his own free will since, according to him, that "police evidence" talk is bullcrap.

People around here really need to get a hold of the internet. These kinds of things happened before and they will keep happening. Right now there's no reason to believe that guy is more than just another troll. Sure, Jordan's secrecy makes me curious, but it's not a reason to think it's legit.

This.👍

Now all the information [not just the image] has been taken from that news article.

Now I don't mean to fan the flames, but this is all a bit weird.

Unfortunately, I don't yet have any new information or updates regarding "the disc" yet.

Here you go.

Removed because it was a rubbish joke.
