Well this has been an odd two days.
It was 55+ degrees F yesterday. Then a storm moved through with 70+mph winds last night. It was 18 degrees F this morning.
This of course meant ice. But my car performed wonderfully when I was using cruise and hit a patch of ice. Cruise disengaged, TCS kicked in, the car restabilized, and cruise reengaged. I had just enough time to go, "holy cr---oh, never mind."
Don't even know why I have my hands on the wheel. I'm one scrolling red light away from driving KITT.
And Hope canceled classes until noon today for the first time in probably ever. This from a school that is used to so much ice they might as well have built it on top of Lake Michigan.
The roads were dry but a low spot in a construction zone (my cruise was at 55) had some standing water that froze over. This wasn't entirely directed at you FK, I'm sure you're a perfectly fine driver, I just wanted to put this out there.
When you drive 40 miles on the interstate twice a day it is a necessity to avoid a ticket. Before I had cruise I had enough ticlets to put me in danger of losing my license. Since I have had cruise my only tickets have been when I wasn't using it and they are far enough apart that none have counted toward points on my license.People actually use cruise control? I only do that when it's after two and on a highway in the middle of nowhere.
I know what you northerners/great laker's are thinking, but give us a break! we don't have the snow-fighting equipment you guys do!!!
6"-8" of snow, and my school closes for the third time in 50 years.
