Its supposed to stay in the mid/low 60s all week this week, I think. This may be the nicest late fall we've had in a while. Last year it just rained all the way through October and December, and that wasn't fun.

Late? Most of the trees are still green... It looks like for the most part, there's one kind that's all yellow right now and one that's red. And 60s? We got pretty sell above 80 here today. Much too hot for my tastes, and that'll probably be the last time I say that until summer rolls around in July back at home.

Obviously you haven't been to Grand Rapids in a while, the majority of the trees are red/yellow/orange now. Hell, they were starting to turn the third week of August. As for the "hot" weather, I missed it, being at work all day sucks. But, nevertheless, I can tolerate most of anything as long as it stays above 40 and doesn't get any smart ideas about "the S word."

The hunters around here may not be happy, but other outdoor enthusiasts, such as golfers, will be.

Been cold, low 30's at night and barely making 50 throughout the day. Been really windy all day and apparently rain will be moving end towards weeks end which is going to suck. Fall Michigan rain is always brutally cold.

Today we had all year seasons in just one day. First of all, a real good and summer like morning and early afternoon, very sunny and great temperatures to walk in the street with T-Shirt. Then a windy but still sunny mid-afternoon (spring). After that, a cloudy end-afternoon, and a little more cold (autumn). And in the end a winter evening and night with rain, not too much wind but cold. But still, not cold enough to bring out the pijamas. A shame that there are no thunders. I really love thunders and lightning bolts. They are really beautiful.

For some reason we've had really cold weeks and hot weekends... it was freezing all last week then 33C on Saturday. This Saturday it's meant to be 35C... i have to play cricket... :grumpy:

Yeah, I've noticed a bit of a pattern. We'll get 1 or 2 nice 30C+ days, then it'll drop right down to 20-22C.

 Crazy backwards seasoned Australians.

It was 29 this morning when I got in my car, chilly to say the least. I'm just not accustomed to this yet, although my heated seats felt great on my frozen backside. Supposed to be in the 60's by the end of the week so maybe the rain won't be to bad. I've talked with some friends from the upper peninsula and they said there have been some snow flurries...I just hope we can wait a few more weeks before getting those here.

Our pool's ready, going to take a dip in a minute. Meant to be 37 on Tuesday, WAY too hot for school... :( 35 tomorrow and gotta play cricket all day... :(

WTF... like a week ago it was looking like we were finally heading into fall then this week it's back up in the 80's.

I guess at least it's good it doesn't get hot at night. (In the upper 50's lately)

edit: WTH, everyone else is in fall. Although having SF in the 70's is great those bastards deserve to fry as well.

We had one of those days that are warm enough for shorts and a tee-shirt but windy enough for you to keep the sweatshirt on. Yup, it's fall.

Oh, and both of Hope's natural wind tunnels (my room and one other major walkway) are back up and running full steam.

Was 39°F, 4°C here on my way to work earlier. It felt like even my teeth were shivering, not long now before my car starts flashing freezing warnings at me in the morning.

However as I'm typing this I've just noticed that one part of Montana is 21° according to that map that V1P3R posted. :ouch:

WTF is Fall?

We're having slightly cool weather for this time of the year, it's only about 23 today, but it's been very hot on weekends, got up to 36 on Saturday. Humidity was terrible too.

WTF is Fall?

I dunno.. I don't think the trees know either. It's like one week it's Winter then the next it's Summer. It shows on the leaves they are a mix of really green or tan ready to fall off. :dopey:

I think it's probably more FAIL to say the least.

It's the lazy way of saying 'Autumn'. By the reckoning that calls it fall, summer should be called 'Sunshine' and winter should be called 'Snowfall'. ;)

You Americans are so lucky to get snow at this time. All I'm getting is rain, overcast and rotting leaves. :grumpy:

I'd rather have rain and overcast instead of snow and overcast. It's snowing as we speak...errr type...err whatever. It's not going to stick but still I dislike it.

It was supposed to snow this morning. Looks like that's not going to happen. Must be a little chillier over on that side of the state.

And apparently it's not summer anymore. I walked out the door in just shorts and a T-shirt this morning. Yeah. A little chilly.

Snow is awesome. I'm probably only saying that because we barely ever get it here in Wiltshire.

Well, it felt good to have the last two football games I've attended require warmer clothing. This is what I expect football to be like.

I love snow, right up until I have to start driving in it and re-discover that no one else has managed to figure it out. Everyone either drives like it is clear and sunny, or they over react to everything and slam on their brakes, sliding all over the place with their wheels locked up.

It's been snowing here tonight. Drove home in it, British drivers are terrible on the roads when it begins to snow a little bit, I hit the dual carriageway and everyone had slowed to 30

I doubt it will last though.

Good god it was cold tonight. I'm doing an archaeology dig for Waterford Township and we were out digging holes tonight in the snow and sleet. That was fun. My car said it was 36F on the way home and it was snowing pretty hard at times, although nothing is sticking since the ground is still warmish.

Shovelling snow sucks, although we have a huge snow thrower. There is nothing worse coming home from a day of work and classes and have to shovel out the driveway at 11pm so you can get your car into the garage. It's even more fun when it's about 10F outside with a brisk 30mph wind....ya I'm looking forward to that.

You call it a "snow thrower" down there? We still call 'em "snow blowers" up here.

Nevertheless, it seemed abnormally cold here today. Compared to last year, where it was moderately warm and wet all the way through to December, it seems like we're shaping up for some nasty weather. We had a small bit of sleet today while I was on my way to class, but I've yet to see snow or rain.

God I hate using the "S word."

I use weird words to begin with, my parents always called it a snow thrower.

I agree though, it seems colder then last year. I remember the day I got my car (Nov. 14) it was in the 70's and it didn't really seem like it was any less then that last October either.

Definitely a big difference between this year and last. I think I was gasping for air conditioning all the way clear through October last year. And now it's snowing. Not saying I wouldn't turn on the AC in the snow though...
