It was freezing today, a top of 17C. :ill: That's got to be the coldest November day for a long time. It seems like we're heading out of Summer not into it.

To add to that the news said a few weeks ago that despite the cold weather, we're in for a "very hot Summer". We're not quite in Summer yet, but now they're saying it could be one of the coldest. :(

The whole of the UK has been engulfed by Arctic winds (normally comes from SW not N). About 8C down here, as low as -3 up North.

17C freezing? It's not even 17F here with the windchill .

Apparantly theirs meant to be Snow here this weekend. Hasn't happened yet, it's just bloody cold!

You do know what freezing means, don't you?

The average daily maximum temperature for July in Scotland is 19 degrees, so 🤬 with your "freezing"...

According to my computer:

Wow it's warm on the other side of the state, it was 21 here this morning and the windchill made it much colder. It's only 29 right now here and suppose to get to 19 tonight.

It's fairly cold today.

Port St. John, Cocoa, Florida

Humidity: 65%
Dew Point: 49 °F / 9 °C
Wind: 3.0 mph / 4.8 km/h / 1.3 m/s from the ENE
Wind Gust: 3.0 mph / 4.8 km/h
Visibility: 7.0 miles / 11.3 kilometers
UV: 1 out of 16
Clouds: Scattered Clouds 5000 ft / 1524 m

I still can't see any grass. Weather.com is saying 30, which makes more sense.

My computer has been stuck there for the last couple of weeks. Probably just wishful thinking on it's part.

That's about the average for Winter here, but we're nearly in Summer. We should be getting around 30-35C average in November. I think the average is about 21. :scared: Also yesterday was very windy, and i wore my jumper for the first time in 3 months.

Anyway, today is nicer, i think it's about 22, the flies are terrible though. :ill:

Tomorrow morning is supposed to be even colder. Starting off at around -4° and getting to a high of 10°. Plus the wind, of course.

It snowed about a foot last night, and it's still going strong. Basically everything is covered, except the heated sidewalks.

You're having some pretty cold weather there, TB. That'll probably feel like summer to you guys in a few months though.

For me at the minute;

19:20 Birmingham, England
1°C, feels like 1°C (33.8°F)
Wind WNW at 5 kmph
Humidity 93%
Pressure 1,019.98 mb

And people still complain about it being cold. I was out washing my car the other day and got some funny looks. The UK are such a bunch of weaklings...

Dallas, Texas.

Mostly cloudy
60 F
UV Index: 1 Low
Dew Point: 23°F
Humidity: 24%
Visibility: 10.0 miles
Pressure: 30.16 inches and steady
Wind: From the Northwest at 7 mph

Man, it feels good outside. :D

Come January or February we'll be walking around outside with the jackets unzipped. Not just yet, though.

On the plus side, we're down to 5° but because the wind has eased up, we have a windchill of only -17!!!

Don't even, dude. Just don't even... :P

Sturgis, Michigan:

Wind: W at 9 mph

Currently under a Winter Weather Advisory until 7 AM Sunday; probably looking at 8 inches of snow by the time it's all said and done.

Thanks ty00123 , here in N.E. Ohio , we are getting your aftermath.

It's snowing really hard here still. Now down to -7 (C, my weather gadget stopped working for Ferinheit). I couldn't see my footsteps walking around from an hour before. The city also never plowed the sidewalks, so they are so deep that every is wandering around in the middle of the streets.

It feels like a snowstorm in Seattle before the plows can get to your part of town. except without the hills and things. I also shoveled snow for the first time today. What a boring, boring job. My ADD told me to stop and find something better to do after just one pass down the walkway.

It's just cold here. No snow.

I want snow. I spent money on a brand new set of snow tires and I want to test them out.

I also want to see how much of a snow plow my front end is with my lip and the car lowered.

...heated sidewalks.
Excuuuuuuse me?

The next time I hear some environmentalist telling me I'm leaving my closet light on too long I'm going to refer him to you Michiganders and your frickin' heated sidewalks that stay on all frickin' winter! You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

EDIT: Even this tiny layer of snow seems to be acting like insulation. The temperature hasn't really dropped much since noon today. Four degrees Fahrenheit, actually. That's a crap thing about snow. If the temperature is just barely below freezing the stuff will still melt. I want temperatures in the single digits, or even lower. Wherever salt stops working, plz.

I was pretty close to Holland on Friday (in Allendale), and it was terrible. I counted at least three cars in the ditch (one going off, quite literally, right in front of me), but very strangely the snow bands seem to have stopped once you reach the outside limits of Grand Rapids.

Either way, it pretty much snowed all day today, stopping somewhere around 6PM for us (that was after pretty much two solid days of snow). We're still supposed to get another 1-3 inches for the foreseeable future, nearly every day, which is terrible in itself.

BY THE WAY:

Whoever thought it was a good idea in the Kent County Road Commission to re-do the three-tiered road program is an idiot. My road is classified as a "II," meaning that only two lanes are plowed, and only stop signs/lights are salted. They're dumb enough to use this policy on some extremely busy roads around here, not to mention using it on some of the highways as well.

At least get around to plowing my road, you know, the one with three schools on it, for God's sake.

Like I mentioned earlier, we got less than an inch of snow today. My dad was on his way to the hospital to visit a friend early, and as he turned into the parking lot he says he nearly spun the Ranger on a sheet of ice. Great. The entrance all the ambulances use is a sheet of ice. Wonderful. If they can't manage to handle an inch at a place that important what are they going to do after 6? Much less a major ice storm like we had last winter.

Man, that was fun btw. Ever slid sideways down a hill because you only made it halfway up?

It's finally done snowing here... for now. 6+ inches on the ground right now by my estimate. Forecasts say 45% chance of snow all the way up until Thursday.

Welcome to Michigan.:ouch:

Ya we got a couple inches yesterday of real, fine, powdery stuff. Today it's really sunny and not a cloud in the sky, I think this is the first time I've seen a blue sky in a couple weeks. The only problems is that it's 18 and feels like 2 with the wind. Also driving today sucks because of the salt/water/sand mix on the road and the unholy glare it produces.

Heat wave - it's currently 9° with a windchill of only -8°.

I have a bit of drifting snow in my driveway that I'll have to go shovel, but I don't want to drag my kids out in this. Guess I know what I'm doing during their nap.

37° here, but the paths are still fairly slippery. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, that'll be fun when it all freezes in the evening...

We're still having very cold weather for Summer here. We spend the last 3 days in Victor Harbor visiting my grandparents and it was very cold at night there. Today it's about 23C, okay but we should be getting 35C+ by now.

Man, that was fun btw. Ever slid sideways down a hill because you only made it halfway up?

Yes. With a school buss (full of kids) sliding down the hill towards me. I didn't think I ever have had a better opportunity to make brown in my shorts other than that moment back in 2004.
