Feels like -16 out right now with about a 30mph wind. It's not snowing yet but the the blowing snow is awful, drifts are 12-14" in some areas. They are saying 1-3 tonight still but there is only a 60% chance.

It is starting to heat up properly now over here.

Up around 38-39c today. More of an average summers day were I live.

I just want some freaking snow already. It keeps warming up to around 60 degrees and rains for 3 days straight and then cools down to 20 degrees and does nothing. Over and over again.

That must mean my Grandpa is buried(He lives in Black Diamond).

He's probably also got blown over. I hear they were the worst of the huge windstorm that came though yesterday.

It snowed all day here today, but we're still nowhere near what Kyle or Michigan has. It was cool watching the Seahawks play at a snowy Quest Field with all the fans building snowmen and things.

30C today, a noticeable increase from the sub 20's we've been having here in the past fortnight. If I haven't told you already, I hate hot weather. :grumpy:

Beat 30C and climbing.

I had to shovel the walkway. Not fun when the walkway is 40 feet long and covered in 10 inch thick snow. I also noticed my brother's ghetto car lowering technique, with about 200 Lbs. of snow on his car.

We haven't had anything near that hot this summer yet... :scared:

I know I'm not in Melbourne but I beat you Casio. If that is a good thing. lol

You were nice and cool at work weren't you. I'm boiling here at home with no A/C.

We had a warm day like that yesterday, but it's cool today, stupid forecasters said sunny day, 30C. How wrong they were... barely reached 25C... :indiff:

EDIT: This is my 250th post in this thread... :)

Back up in "the Mitten," its less about snowfall and more about blowing. The drifts are getting ridiculous, it was enough for the police to warn people not to travel today, and it has been bad enough for waist-deep drifts on my deck. I'm soooo not looking forward to digging my car out in the morning/afternoon.

It's been snowing for a while here, and the roads all have yet to be plowed. You're driving through ruts on everything but major roads and in the middle of major roads are snow banks that get as high and probably 3 feet. It's a mess. And any car that's parked on the side of the road or anything now has no hope of getting out without a bit of digging.

And I'm wanting to get something so I can run the GTI in the snow or something because it's getting kinda frustrating being home and not being able to drive it.

This is just rediculous. Our side roads still are not plowed. Making it almost impossible to even leave my own driveway. I plowed my driveway several times but that doesnt do any good if our side roads arent plowed. I just had to leave work because Heather was stuck on one of the side roads. Then I got stuck. The layoff idea for the plow trucks was probably the worst idea for Michigan ever. To top it off we are supposed to get 8-10 more inches in the next couple days. I will probably plow some of our side roads in hopes to make it to work the next few days. :ouch:

Ya the roads around here are basically untouched from all the blowing snow we had last night. I was driving the S-10 this morning and it slid all over the road and I probably saw 10 cars off in the ditch. They actually closed parts of I-75 too!

Crazy weather lately, though it is Texas. The warm weather is now "cold", and below 32F tonight. :grumpy:

Whoa! Break out the long underwear!

... sorry, I couldn't resist!

Its been at or below -30C (close to -50C with the windchill) here for the past week... plus I had to shovel 8" of snow off of my obscenely large driveway yesterday (could fit 7 vehicles in it easily)... good times!

Lots of snow and cold here. We were averaging -12F without wind. -50 to -70F with wind chill. I'm shoveling daily, hats and gloves are a must for just walking to the car. I love it!

Temp now is -18, high today of 3. Yes, +3! With the wind at 7mph and gusting to 6 (:odd:) our windchill is only at -29° F now. Snow is actually melting!

Of course it'll freeze later and make the roads even worse...

I know you've said before TB, but what state do you live in? I have in my head Iowa for some reason.

Our roads have been untouched for over a week and through two snow storms. I'm scared to go out driving now for fear of getting stuck in the huge snow piles in the middle of the road and whatnot.

And is it everywhere or just here that pedestrians feel they have more rights to the road than the cars do? I've had quite a few people walk out right in front of the car. And everybody else is walking down the middle of the streets and seemingly not noticing the car that is coming straight at them on the ice and unable to get out of the way. It makes me kind of want to hit them for being so retarded.

I nearly had to run over a little kid last Wednesday. While dropping my co-worker off after work, there were two groups of kids and their parents having a snowball fight, from one side of the street to the other. That didn't really bother me, but they were getting the snow from the street, rather than from the plentiful supply on the sidewalks and lawns. I was creeping along at maybe 10 mph towards them, and as I was closing in, a little 3-year old ran out in the street to gather some snow. I stopped in plenty of distance, but he just sat there scooping up snow for at least 10 seconds while I sat there. I caught a glance of his dad off to the side, who just had a smile on his face. Getting impatient, I semi-shouted "Get out of the 🤬 road." My windows were up and my music was on, but the dad must have heard me, as the smile disappeared, and he hustled over and yanked his kid out of the road. I was in no mood for games after driving 30 miles on a sheet of ice.

Message to parents: nobody thinks your kids are as cute as you do. Please parent.
