I think I would be the one that is overly cautious, but I wouldn't be making any sudden moves like that van. I'd just be trying to keep as far away as possible from other cars, probably hard when you are in the middle of town in the middle of the day. And then there are the types that seem to insist on going Tokyo on every corner they see.

Little did I realize this morning that all of the local schools were closed on my way to class this morning. For some reason it didn't click that there wasn't any traffic on the road for a good reason... There was something like 6-8 inches that fell last night, and the roads had to have had at least a good three or so laid out.

...Odd, I saw a Miata on the road on my way to class today too...

Not bad, the Jetta does well enough to keep me happy. I miss the Fox though... She was a champ in the snow (when she was running).

The Rabbit handles it great. He started to slip a bit pulling out of an intersection, but then my TCS light came on and away I went.

Last year I tried to purposely spin him in the work parking lot but he just straightened back out before I could get a full 90. Now, turn it off and it is a whole different story.

The Jetta will do that too. I don't have TCS, but it takes a lot to throw it completely out of whack. I've only spun it on mistake once. I actually had it completely sideways the other day in an empty parking lot, it was pretty awesome... Felt like a WRC driver for a minute!

It's been snowing pretty much constantly all day. I think we're rocking about a foot and a half of snow and supposed to get a lot more tonight.

Thirty minutes to your northeast we're due for 1-3 inches, and the temps are supposed to linger about where they are now. It snowed pretty hard several times today, covering my car in less than a half hour at some points.

Tomorrow morning should be fun. I'm positive that the Kent Country Road Commission won't have enough trucks on the road to keep them clear again...

It's snowing on this side of the state as well, we are looking at 2-4.

Looks like there is a pretty big snow storm thingy coming up through the midwest. We're looking at 3-5 inches tonight and 2-4 inches tomorrow. Lake effect is fun.

It was about 45 and cloudy/misty in Houston today. Just like home :D. It smells like rotten ass here, though. We're at a 2-day class at the plant in Deer Park, and as you drive along 225, it's chemical plants as far as the eye can see...

I hear its been snowing in mid/southern California today, and the pictures on the television make me laugh. Have fun kids! This is what we deal with all year!

Snowed a little bit today, just a dusting over some iced over snow. Should be interesting road conditions tomorrow as our streets didn't get plowed...

I don’t know about anywhere else, but here we just got about a half-hour of rain in the afternoon, and it’s still warm enough to go without a jacket. :p

Wouldn't you know it? We have a foot of snow on the ground. Our week straight of snow ended Thursday(?) and we won't get much more for a while. It's supposed to get up to the 40s the next couple days ().

Yeah, today was warm mid afternoon. Loved it. But then the rain showed up and soaked everything again. The early morning hours are freezing cold, though. Typical SoCal Winter weather.

Apparently schools back home are canceled because it's icy out. I don't think I would have any school from November to May if Seattle schools were in Michigan.

It's down right nasty here today. Schools are shut down and it's emergency travel only.

It was actually colder last week but there's more wind and visibility is maybe a 100 feet in parts.

Its going to be downright "hot" tomorrow, nearly 50F here in Grand Rapids. As of right now, its 40F, and I'm rather happy with that...

It was indeed snowy and icy this morning. I got woken up 3 times by dillweeds trying to make it up the slippery incline outside. Morons need to learn that full throttle does no good on ice. With the Mz3 properly equipped with Blizzaks, I shamed everyone else on the way out :D.

Now I'm in SoCal for a couple days. It's supposed to be sunny and 60-ish. I can deal with that :).

Snow again today, 11F for a high, 2F for a low, currently 3F. Feels like "Damn Cold".
