It's 16 with a high of about 20 today. The sun is shinning and the wind isn't too bad so it's pretty decent out. I really want to go and do something since this is a rare day for a Michigan winter, everyone tells me it's too cold to do anything though...lame.

1c here, the warmest it's been all week. Had a fair amount of snow today, although I watched a huge black cloud move over the coast, could see the snow, but it never reached us here.

Indeed, I'm going to the store to pick up dry ice to pack it in. I'll give you guys the GTP discount, 10.00$

If the ground here wasn't covered in 2.5 feet of the stuff I would be all for it.

If someone wants to come make snowballs with the snow from my driveway, I'll pay you $10. :dopey:

Its -7f here. Not sure what that converts into Celcius wise, but lets just say its pretty darn cold.

Oh and we have had around 35 inches of snow since mid december.

AngloAmerican

That's about equal to how much rain we've had in the last 3 years.

40C outside already. Gonna be an extremely hot day.

Hmmm... Yes, that. And here I was getting used to 50 degrees over break. At least there's snow in Holland. Or so I heard.

There should be snow over there although I'm not sure. Hope starts pretty late, everyone I know at Oakland has been back for a week now.

44C (110F) outside right now. Tomorrow might be even hotter.

I turned the air conditioner on and it was 34C inside.

I'm in Texas and we are getting some cold weather, well for us at least tomorrow is a high of 35f and a low of 19f.

I always for get the southern hemisphere is in summer when the northern is in winter. So interesting to me.

Yeah you guyas get colder summers and much colder winters than us. In winter here it's about 20C here and 20C there (summer) but in summer here it's 40C here and like -40C there.

We're a week behind schedule this year because of Labor Day. Most of my friends were back last week as well.

I heard several inches. But seeing that lake effect season is just getting started, not a lot of snow won't disappoint too much.

What a nice refreshing day, perfect Saab weather, 117F are what these cars are made for! Still rising too, temperature set to peak at around 5-6pm (1-2 more hours). Maybe I'll see that magic 50C mark.

I think my car is going to explode shortly....

We're getting two inches tonight. Or, at least, we're supposed to.

Something very odd is happening, there is no - infront of the temp. I have sent an email to weather.com to see if they can explain this weird phenomenon.

Im not sure how your life is, but i sure would take your weather right now :)

Bloody hot, though the cool change has come in now and it's back to around 30C, tomorrow should be back to about 25C. :)

There has never been a - infront of the temp. :odd:

Hell, it was only 44C (110F) here yesterday.

It was 42C this morning, and the power was out so no air conditioner and no fridge. :banghead: The cool change has finally come in, back to about 30C now and tomorrow should be back to a pleasant 25C. :)

It's unpleasant out, we got about 2" of snow within an hour or so. The roads were nothing but dry, blowy snow with a nice layer of black ice under it. I'm also convinced the bigger your vehicle the smaller you brain is when it comes to snow driving. I had a guy in a Ram 3500 only a couple feet off my rear bumper. If I would have had to stop quickly for any reason he would have slid right into the back of me. I'll never understand the mentality of people who think they are god in the snow because they have large vehicles.

I think they assume that since they can accelerate better with their AWD/4WD vehicle that they can stop better, also.

Vehicles + ice = Newton's First Law in full effect, regardless of drivetrain.

Ya I'm not sure, but when your Dodge Ram weighs more than the moons of Jupiter it's going to slide a long ways. I guess those people failed elementary science.

God dam, had one of the hottest nights I remember. Got to a low of 32.3C (90F) at 5am, and now it's back up to 36C (97F) at 8am.

Hot nights suck. Really suck.

EDIT: Confirmed as the hottest night in 100 years, so I definitely don't remember it. :sly:

It dropped back to 24C here overnight, but the house was still very hot. (was still over 30C inside) It's nice now, it's amazing how cool 25C feels after 4 days of 40+C

Up around 40C in NSW today, just shut down the PC due to it beginning to overheat. We also have a "Catastrophic" fire warning here today....

Wow, I'd still trade my record breaking low temps with you guys down under. Well alright, 110 is extreme, but knock off ten degrees and I'll be good.

Back towards the 70's starting tomorrow. Almost 80 by Saturday. Now THAT is what I'm talking about! Peace out hard freeze, I'm done shivering and sleeping under three blankets! Please please please don't cool down again.

Edit: Casio, are you coastal? That's damn hot if you are, the inland temps must be maxing out thermometers. 97 at 8am? It's at least relatively cool near the ocean here in the summer morning. But then again, different air flows and all that what not.

Pretty much our whole state was a "Catastrophic" fire danger yesterday. They say to leave the night before, but who? And where to when the whole state is under a total fire ban.

Our region (Yorke Peninsula) have had 4 "catastrophic" fire days this year so far. We are actually a low risk area, a lot lower than Kangaroo Island, the Eyre Peninsula and of course the Adelaide Hills (which have only had one, which was yesterday) It just doesn't make sense to me. :indiff:

Two days ago, it was bright blue skies and nearly 80. Right now, it's 54 and raining and the entire sky is dark gray.

It was 34 today, going on 36 tomorrow and topping almost 40 on Friday. I have to do something this weekend that involves the outdoors. We never get January temps like that!

It was pretty nice here too. We're supposed to have highs above freezing as far as the 10-day forecast goes.

Wash the car? That'd be on my list for sure.
