The X2014 standard event...

Impossible as in "I don't want to sit for hours repeating the event." I usually just do things once or twice and that's it. No point on getting gold when you don't earn nothing. That age when I was boastful and competitive is far gone. I prefer to spend my time buying cars, taking pictures of them or just doing hot laps.

But anything worth doing is worth taking your time over and working to do it as best you can lol... I guess it's your choice but the reward is being able to drive the x2010 and the satisfaction of winning the event is the satisfaction of knowing you worked for something and got it :P

But we are all diffrent :)

Yes. We are all different indeed. And I respect that.

I guess I just see Gran Turismo for what it is really. A game (my favorite game, nonetheless ;) ). The stress I go through at work is enough for me, and I just don't want to go though that when I get home and fire up GT6. Working hard at the job at least gives me a real reward. Doing that in the game just gets me a virtual reward.

I do admit, however, I like having everything complete in the game, and it's nice seeing a gold trophy in everything, but if something just becomes an impossible chore rather than enjoyment, then I just move on into other things in the game itself.

The Goodwood hill climb with the X2010 was a nightmare, and I was about to quit, but I had a feeling I could do it, so I kept trying and I got gold by pure luck rather than skill and thanks to the times that weren't too difficult to achieve. However, if the X2014 challenges in GT6 will be like in GT5, I'll probably pass.

Seeing as they've missed the release window for this week, I wouldn't keep my hopes up until next Tuesday, earliest.

Judging by the difficulty of all events in GT6, I much doubt it'll be as hard as in GT5.. (I hope) :)
However, I do agree with you on the rest of your post 👍

I hope not. At the end of the day, it's just a fantasy car. I'd rather spend my time with any other car, or with an actual RedBullRacing F1 car.

I hope they will be races, just like it was for the Junior car.

I would like to race a slightly detuned FGT against the RB7, 8, 9, etc. Great fun back in the days when we could exploit a glitch that let us drive on track with Ferrari F1s against any car. :crazy:

I could do without seeing any x red bull for the rest of my life and be very happy.

Really does make me wonder why there is no red bull f1 car. Apart from the fact that codemasters probably have the rights to most of the red bull f1 cars, surely there is one old red bull PD can squeeze in there.
 
^ Codemasters probably has an exclusive rights to it, I mean I haven't seen it in Forza or anywhere else, so its probably exclusive. It would be cool though, yes you got Sebastian Vettel doing voiceovers for us, but where is his F1 car. Even cooler would be if PD named the Vettel F1 cars using Vettel's nicknames for it. "Hungry Heidi" 2,000,000 Credits, "Luscious Liz" 2,500,000 Credits. I'd have so much respect for PD for doing that. XD

I hope the 2nd half of the event is more races. I think that'll be more easier than beating a time.

They were all copies of real life cars in truth. I think that PD pulled the plug to avoid the nasty licensing rules of F1, and I don't blame them for it.

Even though I miss them, from a legal standpoint I think they were cutting it pretty close.

I could care less for Vettel's "girls" tbh. One F1 car in the entire game is boring imo. Im more about variety. So if they could get another, say the Ferrari f138, then itd be interesting.

I agree though, the addition of car names would do nothing for me. F138 on the other hand... mmmm :D

They have setup the redbull cars as a training process. It will allow almost everyine to handle the cars as they are stupidly fast. In gt4 i could do a 6'30 lap of the nurburgring with the audi r8 lmp with the help of n2o. The redbulk shoukd take off 2 mins off that

I ran the Red Bull XI in GT5 on the ring. I drove it horribly, crashed a few times even rolled it over once and was still in the 4:30 range for the lap time.

The Audi R8 on GT4 possibly with nitrous I was getting down to around 5:45, I actually ran it in the FGT championship race there and was able to win for 200 A-Spec points. I tried it once on GT5 and got something like a 5:35 on RS tires

Yeah, same here. I used X2011 to run the 24h Leman and Nurb. On Nurb, average lap time is 4min 30 range. The world record at that time from youtube is 3min27. I know I had a long way to go to try to tame it. LoL

No need for grammar lessons. I couldnt care less means theres no more room for dislike. But Reb Bull and Vettel are a special case in my view. So I COULD care less about him or his f1 cars and goofy girl names for them. Yes my dislike for him grows every time I see the way he acts. I would take a RB8 or 9, its just the team and him arent on my "favorites".

Ahhh, yeah I guess they had to. I wonder if they'll ever update the FGT to current F1 standards and regulations. I would love that!

I hope it's so! I'll be excited and horrified. Standing pit start first lap and then flying lap the second? Oh, the challenge!
 
I just hope this waiting will be worth it even though it's a redbull but as long as it brings in a ton of credits I will be happy.

If I recall, the Kart races were about 100k each, and the Jr ones were a little bit higher but still within the 100k range, so assuming a progression in prize money, I would guess 200k each race in a championship series for the standards. Then a nice 500-700k championship reward.

I'm tempted to sleep early and hope the patch comes out tomorrow, so I can quote myself and say that I predicted the future accurately. :P
 
The RB Jr races are with the 200% bonus 177k each or about 88k each without the bonus and the championship bonus is 250k without the bonus or 500k if you have the 200% bonus active

I would think the next ones may be around 100k without the login bonus and possibly championship bonus of 350k without the bonus.

I do hope that the standard RB is not super fast though, 180-220 mph range would be good, 250+ not so much
