There's not been an update to the licence test times since the last physics update, in January.

My issue is that iv spent hours upon hours going for gold license..for example super license s-3 gold time was 1.00..now its 58.600 on my ps5 game..its took the whole fun out of the game & replaced it with anger & blisters on my thumb

When there's a physics change - and again, the last one was in January - the licence times change, in order to keep the difficulty at the same level as it was previously. Sometimes they go down, sometimes they go up, but always they alter to keep the challenge at about the same level.

I'm not sure why this makes anyone "a narcissists".

The S-3 original gold time was 0:58.300 prior to version 1.49, it's never been 1:00.000 - that was the original silver time which is now 1:00.400, so you're dealing with an easier requirement than what it was in the beginning if looking at times alone.

I can upload a YouTube video s-3' 1.00..were they guy gets 59s..I have seen 0.58.300..mines is 0.58.600..I'm just gutted & frustrated

It definitely has been higher than that; I was gold on 59.277. I can't say when though, as I would have done it pre-launch or very soon after launch day:

I just went back and got gold again at 58.314:

Again, when the physics changes and makes the cars quicker, the times are reduced to keep the challenge the same. When the physics changes and makes the cars slower, the times are raised to keep the challenge the same.

It hasn't been made more difficult; it's the same level of difficulty, reflecting the current physics. Your issue is, basically, you're not fast enough: when the physics made gold a 1:00.000, you wouldn't have managed it.

I'm so-so and just did it in three valid laps (you can see my screenshots added 5.2 miles, and five minutes).

Perhaps you could share your best attempt and we can endeavour to give pointers.

That's obviously a couple of physics revisions ago, so not very relevant to the current difficulty, but at least the OP was right on this. Anyway, I did all of these over the last month or so and this one didn't stand out as particularly difficult to me, and I consider myself average. The OP might not want to hear it, but it's entirely possible it's above their skill level. Practice etc.

I don't get the issue, if you had gold when time was 1:00 then you got the gold and the reward, they are not taken from you when target time is lowered ?

I believe the issue was that he watched some online guide for this license test, recorded back when the time required for gold was 1:00, and now when he tried to get gold he thought they had made the game harder by lowering the target time.

You are probably right. And as Famine said, time is not harder now, but adjusted to physics updates so the difficulty remain constant.

But many license test are hard, and if Famine view himself as a "so-so" player, he is lightyears away from the average joe. Despite many hours playing GT, I am far from having golded everything and I understand the frustration those tests can bring.
