I haven't had the Oreos before, but I completely agree on the Snickers. I had such high hopes, too.Deep fried Oreos aren't bad, deep fried Snickers bars on the other hand are gross.

That looks good, buddy.👍 Have you ever tried throwing in sauteed daikon in something like that? Japanese sometimes does it, and I guess it only works if you don't mind daikon, but when sauteed with soy sauce or something like that, much of that gaminess is gone, and I do enjoy it once in awhile.
Got some Indian tonight with one of my aunt's students. Tandoori chicken. We got Gulab Jamon for dessert and I shared my balls with her.![]()
Not how I make it. I guess I need to take an actual pic of the Nasi I make. It has no peas.
Nasi is like Chinese (American) fried rice, but with Indonesian spices that really kick up the flavor a few hundred notches. Chicken or shrimp is the preferred meat. I use a mix of Indonesian spices along with fried egg and onion. All you do is add rice, Ketjap Manis, Sambal Oelek and fry it up for 15-20 minutes. Serve with grilled piece of ham, fried egg sunny side up and pinda (peanut) sauce. I also add a big piece of shrimp cracker known as kroepoek. Pure heaven.
I made both Nasi (rice) and Bami (noodles). Good I had both, 'cause some folks complained the rice was too hot. The wusses.![]()
Nasi is just white rice (boiled or steamed), fried rice would be nasi goreng, and would not have any pork since that would make it haram. When you add the fried egg it makes it nasi goreng spesial, and with a piece of chicken (usually a wing or drumstick) it becomes nasi goreng ayam.
If you like spicy, try to find a place that serves nasi padang. And make sure you eat with your fingers to get the full effect.

Too much food isn't the problem there... it's that there's too much awesome there for one person to handle.
They were pretty tasty and likely had just as much salt. That's got to count for something! 💡It's a step, or two, or three hundred down from Sage's carne asada fries, that's for sure.![]()
OK, I can do 30 bucks.guacamole
Salt is bad........ but I love it!They were pretty tasty and likely had just as much salt. That's got to count for something! 💡
I call Nasi Goreng just Nasi. Technically wrong, but then I ain't no technician. Oh, and ham on Nasi is awesome. Especially if you pan fry it for a few seconds. Good thing I'm not a muslim...
Nasi Padang looks interesting, but too complicated. Plus, I, and especially my boys, like the simplicity of fried rice. It's all conveniently mixed together in one large bowl. 👍
$7.50.I'd pay $20 for that thing right now.![]()
Yup you just missed the sour cream. What's all in that, Sage? Looks like two kinds of cheese, guacamole and skirt steak.
